  • A pepper spray container that looks like a gun? I mean, I suppose if you'd *like* to get shot, this might work. I just think there are easier ways to get someone to kill you.

  • Yeah, this seems like a really stupid idea to be perfectly honest. Something that looks like a real gun, will get treated and warrant the same response as a real gun.

Maybe they want to prevent another mistaken shooting with some idiot brandishing a lookalike gun. It's not a very smart idea to begin with.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

The issue with this is that you'll get shot as soon as a cop sees you aiming it at someone.

Or as soon as the person threatening you decides that they now need to kill you because they think you're about to kill them (there's a reason you generally aren't supposed to reveal you have a concealed weapon unless you actually need to be firing it).

I'd prefer to carry nothing which remotely looks like a gun in America. If you have something that looks like a gun be prepared that everyone will treat it like a gun.

In Europe this might work though. 7 years ago me and my friend were walking through Munich outskirts when some thugs began threatening us, so my friend took his airsoft gun, which they mistook for a real one and fled.

"Non lethal" my ass, should be called "Less-than-lethal" because people with allergies and shit can die from CS.

And if/when this hits the US Market, cops that shoot civi's is gonna rise, then people just blame the cops.

Bad idea.

I would like to think this wouldn't be released for civis. This would moreso help officers.  But I can't hate the idea. But I do see alot of people brandishing them. I purchased one just a second ago. I am starting to second guess it now. Mine resembles a glock 19. and has real sound, and is  front firing

Even if this was for officers, it's still a stupid idea. It'll just make people think the officer is about to shoot them and might try desperate moves like shooting first or anything like that.

See you at your funeral once cops will have killed you by mistaking your "self-defense non-lethal" weapon with a real gun, in addition to your militia and your fake badge.

No sir this is strictly to protect my home. Im a felon im not allowed to carry real guns. I wanted to use my brother to establish the militia it was my idea but he was going to enforce it because it because he has a right to bear arms. That Idea has been destroyed by local P.D. the said i was trying to entice violence and could be arrested. He then smirked at me and said" you think people haven't tried that"?

Look up Oscar Grant. This is the very last thing cops need. It's just asking for negligent shootings. I seriously can't think of a single reason this would be a good idea to issue to someone who also carries a firearm.

Most European countries that restrict firearms ownership also restrict incapacitant sprays, so unlike your friend's airsoft one of these may not even be allowed in public.

Wow, didn't know that. So pepper spray might be illegal there too?

Like others have said, cops will not respond well to this. People have been shot while holding airsoft or bb guns, which do not have that kind of sound when fired. This thing will get a more aggressive response from cops.

They're gonna hear the sound, call in a shots fired, roll up to scene of person aiming a realistic looking gun with a "victim" on the ground coughing and shit, next thing you know the person with the "non lethal gun" freaks out and ends up getting shot by the cops. Bad idea imo
