Honestly, I rather them take a bit more time to polish the game and optimize it more so we can have a richer and smoother experience. At least it wont end up like GTA IV PC performance. Only thing that bums me is how they tell us a 3 weeks before the actual release :(

Insane, huh? GTA V will be released in March 24, but it's installation will take about one more month xD

Can't say I'm all too mad that it's delayed, as long as the PC port is good and is not the mess that GTA IV was. 

well at first i was excited about the release..but now that it appears i'll need the space equivalent needed to store the Hindenburg i am not as excited anymore

As long as the port comes out perfect and it's everything we want for, then I can honestly care less if it gets pushed back just a bit. It's not like it's a game that hasn't been released yet, we're just waiting for it a tad longer.

 

Specs look good though, I get the same vibe from max payne 3 specs, and that's a good sign in my books.

 

Let's hope that it's a good port, unlike LA Noire's, GTA IV's, and Red Dead Redepmtion's (ha!).  Seeing as Max Payne's install was about 25GB and its port was very well done, I'm willing to sacrifice the HDD space for something that takes advantage of the PC's extra horsepower.  Everything but my processor meets the recommended settings, but I do have an i5 2500k which is just a little bit older, so I should be fine.

Yup, I'll be able to run it based on those system specs. But, we all know how GTA IV worked on PC so there's no telling if those specs will yield the desired result.

On a semi related note, I guess I'm the only one that feels like 65GB is nothing... Maybe I just have a big hard dive.

No, it'd be 92 CDs. DVDs however would be that size. I doubt that the entire game will be released on an outdated format though. Most likely it'll be a lot of digital download.

I called up Rockstar yesterday, and they said they want everybody to get there computer ready for the game. I know, its so stupid.

OK people . bad news for pc lovers gta 5 is coming on 24th march now not 27th of january . Rock star needs another petition to release the game earlier . why they do this why . Official statments says game needs a bit polishing and they did released some screen shots and system requirements .You need 65gb of hard drive so i guess downloading will not be the option .

You're a bit behind on everyone, we've been complaining about it for over 2 pages already :)

Remember guys, that's 65GB unpacked.  Odds are R* will pack it up so you only have to download about 14-20gb.

 

As far as the released date, saw it coming but it's pretty frustrating at the same time.

 

GTA IV hardly even worked on the consoles (still lagged a lot) so the PC port was pretty much doomed to fail from the start, and it did.  GTA V actually works very well on the consoles so that gives me a bit more hope for the PC.

Well the game is technically out already so it's available to play with all the bits and pieces on console, if the game was unreleased to all it'd be a huge kick to the... whatever you appear to have (You may want to get that checked out man).

 

Yes, the extension in time is a huge pain but on the upside it's extra PC planning and investment time and once it's here and we've filled time with some game play we'll thank R* for taking the time to polish it because if they do it right the delay wont matter because we'll be playing it and modding it for years to come. I'd rather have this game polished and full of potential than rushed but playable now, I'm looking at you GTA IV! *Scowls*.

 

I assure you I saw the new date of release and it made me want to head butt the nearest wall. To put it into perspective not 15 minutes before I found out about the delay of GTA I had just passed my driving theory exam... and I didn't care about my exam pass because GTA HAD BEEN MOVED FORWARD.

 

Count the days, count the minutes... count what you must but it'll be worth it. Famous last words? Time will indeed tell!

 

I'd expect pre-orders to go live sometime soon, the store page has finally been updated.

GTA 5 to be delayed until March 24! Can't belive it. Delayed again. I have a love hate reationship with R*. Love the games hate it when they do crap like this.
