Your English is actually pretty solid, man! I've seen native speakers with less understanding of grammar and sentence structure. Even when you slip, you're perfectly comprehensible!

And, yeah, most definitely. It's why I said the VCPD are the most accurate yet slightly inaccurate. What isn't accurate can basically be attributed to pop cultural references, and honestly even there they're pretty solid!

That is really a solid point. In fact, I think the only time in-game those Riots are even driven is The Paleto Score, and only two show up before the military gets involved. GTA V just really dumbed down wanted levels tragically. I realize part of it was for realism, but...removing the FIB and the more diverse NOOSE response really makes wanted levels far more boring than IV. RDE thankfully fixes that, but still...it seems odd, given Rockstar in the past has been all about diverse responses during Wanted Levels...why nerf it all some much in V? I guess we'll never know.

And yeah...sorry admins if I screwed up by starting this convo!

I...what shocks me most of all is that you could have reused that model for PIA officers by just making them spawn without the helmet. Sure they're be rather overarmored compared to a normal LEO officer, but at least there'd be NOOSE officers in NOOSE vehicles.

And yeah...those vehicles are even apparently hardcoded in, impossible to remove. Which is...beyond strange. I've also looked through the audio files, and I'm positive there are no unique lines for the correctional officers of Boilingbroke. I've never fought them much, so I have no idea what voices they use. But it stands out, because the one-mission Alderney State Correctional officers in TLAD had not only unique combat lines, but non-combat lines and all the various law enforcement applicable lines that the ASP and LCPD had. Just seems weird.

And, you'd think they'd pay attention to RDE, given they actually intended portions of what the mod does to be in-game based on pre-release articles. There was supposed to be a warrant system, with occasional news updates from the DJs warning people to be on the look out for you and police being able to remember you for a period after you escaped a wanted level. Based on dialogue in the police scanner, non-lethal force was also considered and air support was supposed to aim for tires on your car rather than just shooting at your roof. Hopefully, they see RDE and take the SFPD or LVPD or VCPD or whatever the LEO agency of the next GTA city is and make it as realistic and diverse as possible!

Oh R*, you never cease to amaze with your attention to details. Remember FDLS fire engines with FDLC badges. LSPD vehicles with LCPD computer background, or white Sheriff Cruisers but Panda Sheriff SUVs?

Decided to hit  the 24/7 in Sandy and was looking for a good all-terrain getaway vehicle, when I noticed a Seminole passing by. These are nice SUVs so I followed it to that little cul-de-sac of a dirt road near Sandy and while I'm at it I notice the Seminole has nice unusual wheels. I'm like "cool, RDE and World of Variety actually made peds drive modified cars!"

So I cut the guy off on that cul-de-sac and even tap his bumper to make him stop, get out, approach the drivers door and in the split second while I'm raising my weapon at him I notice that strange partition in the back of the Seminole... Which reminded me of something... Of a police cage?.. What the f..!

Guess what? It was a BCSO detective >< I was so astonished for a second or so that he had a chance to taser me and put under arrest. How was that, "if criminals were smart, we wouldn't be catching them"?

Like those cool Sheriff Ranger, for example? The best police vehicle in all 3d series, in my opinion. Shame only a 3-door version was available.

    Howdy,
I suppose this will be a kind of a dev diary for 3.1. As NefariousBonne has said some time ago, 3.1 will mainly be a content update, introducing new car and ped models, as well as improving existing ones. Thanks to YMT edits, peds will not only be much more varied and detailed, but also better optimized and "neat" from technical perspective. Many ped models have gotten new components, such as improved bulletproof vests, belts, and so on. Many vehicles have received improved interiors and lighting, and some other tweaks.

But you all know that already. I would like to tell you about one new script feature we have been working on for some time now.

We call it the IncidentManager. This is a new system that allows cops to call backup during shootouts with NPCs. The backup units that spawn are the same that would spawn if a player was wanted, and zone-dependent as well. Furthermore, the response type and amount will be based on the severity of the incident. Not only that, but a rudimentary chase system has been implemented, which will allow cops to dynamically chase fleeing NPCs. IncidentManager allows for very dynamic and lively shootouts, and is for all intents and purposes a Wanted Level system for NPCs. It can be turned on and off in the ini.

A small new feature is that SSR (as a whole) can be turned on and off in game by pressing a specified (configurable) key combination. With SSR disabled, you can play LSPDFR and most story missions without any compatibility problems (note: this does not fix missions that crash).

Furthermore, some advanced optimizations have been performed on the script. We hope that this will alleviate some of the performance complaints we have gotten for 3.0.

3.1 has been delayed a lot, but we want to present you with finished, polished product. We continue to add new features and content daily, while testing for bugs and performance. We hope that we will be able to present RDE 3.1 to you soon.

That doesn't contain a tactical sheriff ped, which is what echo04 was looking for. If you're going to suggest an alternative, it should be one which is actually relevant, like

If you're looking for a tactical sheriff, RDE is what you want. Don't be afraid by what other people might say, it's easy to install if you have your head on straight

don't mind my bias, I'm only part of the dev team

They are pretty rare, but still they exist.

Been playing for a few days with the 3.0 version, it's so neat! I love foot pursuits now, just like the GTA IV. I only wish they could give tickets instead of arresting for everything, in this case I would even stop and surrender. Also the warrant feature is quite good and well-thought.... except probably for the moment where you die in a pursuit (jumped from a cliff in my case) and they think you've got away. "Hey Sarge, this guy just jumped down and probably dying, should we move in?" - "Nah, son, wait once he leaves that hospital!"

And another one... The heli sight radius. Kinda small, in my opinion, I was able to outrun it on a highway in a mail truck. I didn't got away -- a LSSD Patriot suddenly jumped me, but still...

Nitpicking aside, the mod is absolutely fantastic. I can only imagine how much time, effort and nerve cells you guys invested in this project and it's really a masterpiece. Thanks.

Thanks to Custo's help, we'll be bringing in YMT-enhanced peds. Yard has also overhauled the female peds; BCSO and LSSD peds now have different heads, LSPD has an extra Latino head, and they all have armour components in-line with their male counterparts.
