PC Portage of GTA V...

Featured Replies

... looks like is going to be a LOT better than GTA IV portage. Apparently, it's the team of Max Payne 3 that is working on it, and Max Payne 3 was a rather good portage on PC with a good optimization.

So, yay!

Well, the rumour has been given by an old R* employee who worked on GTA Online. Sounds like a pretty solid rumour to me. Besides, I believe R* learned about their mistake on GTA IV PC, I doubt they want to reiterate this mess.

ineseri is my username, for your information.

I'm just stating what we know here. I had a feeling it'd be released for PC, but nothing was confirmed by Rockstar until recently. You can't always assume things will go your way, just because it's likely. Little official information has been released by Rockstar regarding GTA V PC, and as such, anything you read on the internet is purely speculation and in no way fact. Fact is what we know for certain. We have no way of knowing how the port will turn out. Further, I did not deny that a PC version was coming, I took no stance in the question. I stuck to the facts, not the hypetrain.

Why should we even trust "common sense"?

Please.

If Rockstar hasn't confirmed anything, you cant trust anything.

I'll believe it when I see it. As much as I love the GTA series, Rockstar has a very spotty history when it comes to PC ports. Although I am very excited that GTA V is finally coming on PC, I am still very cautiously optimistic. I have been burned out way too many times for following the hype train, only to be sorely disappointed.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt considering the job they did with MP3.  I had a lot of fun playing that despite not being a fan of the Max Payne series.

I'm sure Rockstar released it because you told everyone.

I'm pretty sure this discussion is neither here nor there.  Nothing wrong with stating the facts known at the time.  At the time we didn't *know* (big difference between knowing and making presumptions) the PC version was coming, likewise we don't know much about the PC port other than it'll feature a video editor and was delayed so, in their words, they could make it better.

Common sense told us that PC would get a version of Red Dead Redemption.................. Nope. At least ineseri wasn't lying to us. He never denied a version coming to us, he simply said don't assume and get everyone's hopes up. I gotta have some respect for the man because when I want an honest opinion, I can get it from ineseri. Good day :)

Even if its a rumor lets hope that the max payne 3 team is working on GTA V PC because that team did an fantastic job with the pc port for max payne 3, hopefully can deliver that same kind with a Hugh open world games like GTA V.

My PROFILE

Sorry if I am a little late to the party here, but wasn't/isn't GTA V for PC being developed in parallel this time around?

Cheers.
