BF4 Now Banned In China

Recommended Posts

This website is pretty reliable in my opinion. Do you think China has made the right decision?

I thought all sales of gaming systems were banned in China regardless...?

Or maybe a different Asian country, I can't remember.

EDIT: Nevermind, I looked it up. They did have a ban on console games since 2000, and it was previously just lifted.

Nope. But nobody can boss them around. Google had to leave.

I doubt China is broke.

Haven't you seen any of those documentaries that show the poor wages Chinese people live on? I study human geography and have learnt that there is a big divide between the rich and poor in China. So there aren't many people 'inbetween'. This is supposedly because China has been in a state of war and political neglect for around 300 years, before the 21st century. Communism plays a big role, as China didn't export many goods that only they could provide at the time. For example, gunpowder and modern paper. in the 1700s China still didn't export goods or allow foreign culture, this lead to the country failing to modernise. However, they finally began trading with Europe. European traders realised that they weren't making decent profits and so they attempted to pretty much poison the Chinese people by importing Opium. China rejected the importation and Europe fought back at this, and war broke out. All  the while, the Japanese saw the opportunity for invasion, and so they did. Several other invasions followed from various other countries, and eventually China was put into a state of poverty. This poverty remains today, but, it is predicted that by 2020 China will become a greater superpower than the USA. In the meantime however, the Chinese are still too poor to buy a console to play BF4 on.

Let's just hope the Battlefield 4 campaign doesn't come true in 2020 then, lol.

There probably will be some sort of war between China and the US, in any case the stage is set for something like that to happen.

Chinese middle class lives on a level comparable to US middle class, so I don't see why they wouldn't have money to buy consoles/gaming PCs. That being said, majority of Chinese people are lower class.

There was a recent boom in the Chinese middle class. Here are some interesting articles:

Maybe from an economic standpoint. That doesn't mean they'll have a better military or that the money the government gets will trickle down to its people. Plenty of countries have wealthy governments but impoverished citizens.
