  1. Manual install will be best.
  2. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  3. Are you using v7 config files? Those are not compatible with v8. MODERATOR NOTICE Your thread has been moved to the GTA IV Support Requests forum, as it is not an LCPDFR support request.
  4. MODERATOR NOTICE Please use the edit function to add more information to your post, do not double (or triple or quadruple) post. You need to disable McAfee's protections, but I don't know how to do that. I recommend not using McAfee at all because it isn't a very good antivirus program.
  5. The error in AdvancedHook.log is a generic crash, it doesn't tell me anything. The best thing to do would be to uninstall GTA IV and delete everything in it's folder. Then install GTA IV, install the latest patch (unless you are using Steam), then make sure the game starts. If it does, then install LCPDFR.
  6. Thanks for the information, but you haven't stated what your issue is. If it is that the game crashes after a certain amount of time, then there's nothing we can do except tell you to run the game without any other mods. Modding GTA IV makes it even more unstable than it already is.
  7. Try removing AdvancedHookInit.asi and see if the game starts up.
  8. Use SparkIV instead, it is much better at handling sound files. Also, MODERATOR NOTICE Your thread has been moved to the GTA IV Support Requests forum, as it is not an LCPDFR support request.
  9. If you use dsound, it will use GFWL saves. You can move your offline (xlive) saves from /documents/Rockstar Games/GTA IV/savegames to the GFWL location in users/[windows username]/AppData/Local/Rockstar Games/GTA IV/savegames/user#
  10. I really don't understand what the problem is. If you can't paste in the text box then that's an issue with your browser and I suggest you use a new one. Instead of right click -> paste, try CTRL-V to paste the URL. Also, copy the URL from the bar on top up until the end of the video's code (it will end in a letter or number, if there's a symbol like "&" then don't include that or anything after that). Don't use the hyperlink tool, just paste it directly into the editor. For example, the last link you posted should simply be pasted like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMK_xDHQ69w So it shows up like this:
  11. No, the issue isn't relative. It will happen on every computer so long as GTA IV is loading new img files. The LCPDFR taser is in its own models file that is loaded by AdvancedHookInit.asi, so that out of memory error will happen every time you close the game. If you didn't get the error before then you either manually installed the taser or the taser didn't work because AdvancedHookInit didn't load it.
  12. Alt is a modifier key so it will be "[command]modifierkey". Alt is called "Menu" in the ini.
  13. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  14. The game will always have the out of memory error when closing the game with LCPDFR installed, unless you manually install the taser. It can be ignored.
  15. The only fix for your problems are what I posted above, so something isn't working correctly if you have followed my previous instructions.
  16. All of the keybindings are LCPDFR.ini, located in the LCPDFR folder.
  17. MODERATOR NOTICE Topic cleaned up since I forgot people can't resist responding to previous posts.
  18. MODERATOR NOTICE This is not a debate thread. Do not treat it as one.
  19. Coolest grandpa ever. I don't see myself stopping anytime soon, so I'll probably be playing video games forever.
  20. When you install car mods you are not "modding a mod." The car models have nothing to do with LCPDFR, you are just installing another mod in addition to LCPDFR. LCPDFR is a script mod for GTA IV, and car mods are model mods for GTA IV. The more mods you install, the more likely you are to crash.
  21. LaunchGTAIV.exe doesn't change versions because it is just the launcher, not the game itself. Only GTAIV.exe will show as 1.0.7.0. Also, if you own it on Steam then you don't manually install patches. Steam does it for you. If you just recently installed the game (meaning within the past like 4 years) then you are installing the newest version.
  22. It's very finicky, you need to be in the perfect position then press the button about 3000 times. There's a random chance that you might successfully search the trunk, and if not then try another 3000 times. I don't really know why, but yeah searching trunks can be hard for the LCPD.
  23. You can follow this to manually link your account: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> If the mod works in game, then there is not need to run the diagnostics.
  24. You don't want those .dll's in the game folder, you just need to install what I told you to install. There's another problem in your log that I missed the first time, also install this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
