I can't use LCPDFR one script will not work!
Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR. You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them. Please do the following: Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues Make sure that you run the game as an administrator. Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only" Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder. Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation. Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself. Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012 If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post. If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following: Give a clear, detailed description of the problem. Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem. State what solutions you have tried. Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log). Include as much information as possible. Post your system specifications. Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods. Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.

"I think I've been shot in the fucking head"
Wouldn't surprise me to be honest, based on the topics that have been posted before.

Recording software?
You need to change the bitrate in OBS. It's normally set up for streaming (not recording), which requires a lower quality based on your internet speed. Go to settings -> Encoding -> change max bitrate based on this chart.

crash
This would not cause the game or script to crash.

Cannot Start LCPDFR..." Error in script lcpdfr loader.loader"
Make sure you use the diagnostic tool that comes with the latest version of LCPDFR, it shouldn't have any issues.

Check Log Issues After Install
Download the manual installation again, copy AdvancedHook from it to your main GTA IV directory. If you install ELS, DO NOT copy the AdvancedHook that come with ELS.

Are you a evolutionist or creationist?
This right here is the greatest debate on this topic, and I'm on Bill Nye's side: It's definitely possible to be religious and believe in evolution (I think Bill Nye says this in the debate - he is defending the fact that the world could not have been created 6000 years ago like the Bible says, not that there is no God or that God did not create everything in the first place).

Cannot Start LCPDFR..." Error in script lcpdfr loader.loader"
Please create your own topic. OP, you most likely need to download this but I can only help you further if you run the diagnostic tool and post the log.

ELS stops LCPDFR from working
ELS comes with an outdated version of AdvancedHook.dll, download the manual LCPDFR installation and copy AdvancedHook.dll from it to your main GTA IV directory.

Game Crashing Issues - Log File Help
Everything is fine when it comes to LCPDFR according to this log. Crashes only reported by AdvancedHook are most likely not LCPDFR related, but either related to other mods or the general instability of GTA IV.

Good Video Recording Software?
Here's a bit of a "getting started" guide I just through together for OBS if you wish to try it. Set your bitrate in Encoding based on the chart here. Ignore everything in Broadcast Settings since you are not streaming. In Video, set the base resolution to the resolution that you play the game at and resolution downscale to what you want the video's resolution to be. Set the FPS as desired, but 30 is probably best. You shouldn't have to change anything in Audio. Set Hotkeys as desired. You should be able to leave everything in Advanced at default. Ignore Quick Sync Encoder. Set Microphone Noise Gate as desired. Start the game and tab out. Now in the main screen of OBS, right click in the Sources menu. Click Add then Game Capture*. Enter a desired name for the source. You can try to use hotkey though that's never worked for me. If you select application, choose the game from the list. Click Start Recording and the video will start recording. It will initially be a black screen in the preview until you tab back to the game. You can tab in then out again to make sure it is recording. If you record with a mic as well, then you can adjust the recording game and mic volume with the respective red bars. *If for some reason Game Capture is not capturing the game, then you may have to use Window Capture. Same concept - select the window of the game from the list, leave the rest as-is.

This is your issue: [iNFO - 22:17:33] AdvancedHook 0.34 © 2010-2014 LMS - Initialized You are using an outdated AdvancedHook.dll, the most recent version is 0.38. Download the manual installation and copy the AdvancedHook.dll from it to your main GTA IV directory.

Cannot Start LCPDFR..." Error in script lcpdfr loader.loader"
Error in LCPDFR loader.loader is very generic. It just means LCPDFR was not able to initialize. Please run the diagnostic tool and post the log.

BEST AND WORST GAMES
I completely forgot about Need For Speed Most Wanted (the first one, and by far the best NFS), Mercenaries, and Red Dead Redemption. Add those to my best games list.

More problems when playing.
Delete LCPDFR.log, run the game, then run the diagnostics. Please post the diagnostic log as well as AdvancedHook.log.

Man Shot Dead By Police in NJ Dashcam Footage
To defend Sam's "conflicting commands" point, the officer did say to his partner to get them out of the car, but then says that they need to stay in the car. I can see how this might be confusing. While I agree with everything that johnclark has been saying, I think this was poor judgement by the officer. The man did disobey direct orders, but he did not pose an immediate threat. It may have seemed this way at the time, but watching the video clearly shows that he did not. The suspect got out of the car with this hands visible, he did not reach for anything. He did not lunge at the officer, and the officer was even able to back off creating enough distance between him and the suspect to defend himself. If the officer was able to secure the gun, then I think (me personally, with no real life law enforcement training or experience) they should have backed off and initiated a felony stop. It obviously is very difficult to control the suspects while they are in the car, so they should have ordered them out from a distance, not from right next to the door. Also everything involving race in this article is complete bullshit, and I'm glad we can all agree on that. Illusionary's title for this thread is much better than the title of the article.

LCPDFR 1.0 D Missing Various Files
You seem to be using different folders from the default installation. Your diagnostic tool is pointed to your desktop but you are showing your GTA IV installation in your documents folder, so clearly it isn't going to find the necessary files. Did you move the GTA IV directory after installing the game?

Im completely lost
Yes, this is the LCPDFR control scheme at its finest. E will only open the computer when you are stopped, and it will also do like every major action in LCPDFR. The default control for the QAM on the controller is the left stick. You can change just about all of the bindings in LCPDFR.ini, if you need help with this or if you want to change a control that doesn't appear in the .ini, feel free to post below.

Someone can help me find the Manual siren?
There's also a (hidden) feature in LCPDFR for non-ELS vehicles. If you activate the lights only mode with / on the numpad, you can then hold down that same key for a manual siren similar to ELS (hold it for a few seconds for it to start). I think you can even press your default GTA IV horn button along with / to use an alternate siren tone. In addition to that, after pressing your default GTA IV horn key to activate the siren, you can press * on the numpad to toggle lights only mode (you might first have to go through the / stages once, something I noticed with EFLC cars specifically). Using this, you can repeatedly press * for a manual-like siren.

LCPDFR In-Game Start-up Error After Downloading ELS V8
1: I've never had any problems with the taser and don't really know how to fix issues with it, sorry. 2: The auto-load to LCPDFR is a feature of 1.0d where, if the game crashed in the last session, LCPDFR will load an auto save so you can continue your patrol.
