It might be Christmas Eve (at least over here) but that's not stopped us from clutching pretty big-time to release a minor feature update for LSPDFR 0.4, and the first public release of LML - just in time for Christmas!

 

LSPDFR 0.4.6 adds a couple of new features, with an emphasis on improving the detention of arrested suspects:

• New animated sequences for detaining suspects in police vehicles.
• Improvements to holding and dragging suspects, including the ability to run with full animation support.
• New backup options for calling the fire department.  Firefighters will respond and extinguish any fires in the area.
• New, slick animations for drawing and holstering sidearms that don't interfere with your character's upper body.
• Extended support for using Online freemode characters in agency and backup configurations.
• New configurations have been added to the vanilla data files in 0.4.6 adding new outfits from The Diamond Casino Heist update.
• Other miscellaneous fixes and enhancements.

 

In other news, the initial public release of Lenny's Mod Loader - an innovative at-runtime mod loading solution by @LMS - is also here.  Previously available as Early Access to our supporters on Patreon, LML is now available to all as a Public Beta.

Does this work differently from the Cop Holster plugin? And does it override it as well?

It might override the animations.  It might not, I honestly couldn't tell you.

It won't override anything else, and there is a setting to disable it which will be documented shortly with the full release notes.

Is there a way to disable the new Holster animation? It no longer places the Pistol in the Holster 😞

@Sam @LMS hello, have you corrected, lethal force activated , that is to say in the sense that when activated, all NPC cops shoot with any firearm on armed suspects, rather than letting themselves be killed? Thank you for all the work you do!!!

This is gonna bring a whole new RP element into the game instead of just pulling them out of the car and them tripping over their own feet. I cant wait to use this!

While I thought the current animation was fine for grabbing suspects, I think the addition of running is a very nice touch.

This section I found interesting. I could be wrong, but with the implementation of this, it will eliminate the need for plugins like CopHolster and whatever plugin you used to call the Fire Department. (Can't think of the name for it if there is one.)

Again, a nice bit of extended freedom here with the inclusion of the Online characters and the outfits from the newest update.

i love it! how do i equip the holster and enable the "draw" function? spawned in and went on shift but the belt model was the same. also a lot of "peds" are protesting infront of my apartment? i guess they got off on good behavior and decided to pay me a visit. LOL XD

Good to know that LSPDFR is still alive! Good job everyone! One day i will use LML  just for test, so i can explore more things easily!

Anyone know how to get siren working in LML?

I'm waiting for compulite updates (actually updated it yesterday but once installed it gives me as if it were not) , stop the ped and ultimate backup , at this point, if the new backup of lspdfr seems more functional , almost I would almost avoid backing up Beljio , but is there the possibility of roadblocks and spike strips during chases ? as in Beljio's ultimate back up ? uhm you just have to try

I was very much looking forward to the release of LML, I am convinced that the ability to convert replacement models into Add-ons will completely revolutionize RP.  Used with Custom Backup we will be able to define a specific backup for each city/region, it will be incredible!
