  • Let's all take a deep breath and rest assured that we're still committed to releasing 0.4 this month.

  • Just as a heads up, I can't think of much that makes me grumpier than having to hide 24 nonsense posts after working without sleep on 0.4.  Lack of sleep I can deal with; people being idiots not

  • I've been informed we'll have to delay release by one day for each cat that is killed.

can we just drag and drop or are we going to have to start fresh...

(im dreading the answer) i am sure it is going to be the latter of those two

It's not a new game, it's an update. A big one, I agree on that, but "just" an update none the less.

I know some things like the improved AI must have taken a lot of time and tweaking to achieve what we're going to see in this release.

But it doesn't seem like a "3 years" kind of workload. I don't know how many devs are behind LSPDFR but I imagine just a few as it took 3 years.

If they don't have enough time to work on it, nothing stops them from getting more people involved. The community for this mod is huge and I'm sure a lot of very competent developers dream of working with them to improve the mod.

With that said, I have a huge respect for those actually working on LSPDFR. A big community means a lot of pressure and expectation, and I'm sure they do their best.

Indeed, I don't pretend to own the truth, I'm giving an honest opinion.

@Runt I'm not blaming them at all for not putting more time into LSPDFR, I'm sure they already do much.

I'm sorry if my message was misunderstood I might not have expressed myself correctly.

My point was that there are ways to reduce the interval between updates, without necessarily throwing away job and family.

Some examples are getting more people involved or releasing smaller parts more often.

Those are just thoughts and there could be disadvantages in them that I didn't think of.

Edit: Either the post I responded to was deleted, or I'm crazy (could be the latter to be honest)

Same here, I'm off until monday AND instead of going in at my usual time, I'm in training for the next 5 or 6 weeks so I don't have to go in until 8 in the morning monday 🤗

Why not try and just clean your existing installation?

1) Run the LSPDFR uninstaller.

2) Delete any Rage and LSPDFR files and directories.

3) Compare your GTAV directory to a fresh install (you can Google this for screenshots of what a clean install looks like) and delete any non-default files or directories.

4) Run GTAVLauncher with the -verify flag, or for the Steam version run the verify game files option from Steam. This will verify your GTAV game files, and download and replace any modified ones with their originals.

This is actually pretty straightforward to do, and is a breeze compared to the hassle of downloading and reinstalling the whole game again.

I will try this first, this would make life smoother. Thanks for the advise.

Probably going to have to start fresh. It won't be a problem, a lot of mods probably won't work with 0.4, so we'd probably have to redownload all of them.
