LSPDFR 0.4 - Epic Customization

Featured Replies

I'd like to see more action from the suspects. 90% of the time they just give up. I want more foot chases and more possibility of them running in their car. I want more of them to be armed with a chance of them firing at us. Depending on the call out, its just routine stop, question, RSBT, or if ordered out of the car especially with a warrant they don't do anything to get away lol.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!   Units patrolling without the need for extra mods?   I can now have Los Santos County Sheriff and LSPD?   and both patrolling at the same time?

  • Psssst..  Don't tell anyone, but I think we fixed that. Don't tell anyone though!

  • Police stations?   Well, I know one really cool "station" that could use some love. Of course, I mean the FIB building in Pillbox Hill.  It would be really cool if LCPDFR 0.4 will have it's

Yes vehicle pursuits are lame currently and it seems like most of the time the AI doesn't even try. The biggest issue I think is that the AI path finding in traffic isn't that great, once they get a certain distance away from you they no longer have to deal with traffic since it won't even spawn for them. Then they just fly across the map with no issue.

Hope all is going well with development. As it has been over a month, I was hoping to hear some updates on the progress or any new highlights. Thanks for all the work you all do, it truly is a joy to play! :)

Well, i really don't unterstand how this custom police station thing works.

You'll need a template from a building to create a logo for the police station.

Can't wait for this! I hope they implement a stop the ped style function into lspdfr. Also a way to weigh commercial vehicles for those of us who like to do cmv enforcement!

Remember me? Benny Blanco from The Bronx...

Hopefully we'll get another peek before the end of April.

The feature will just add the ability to place ped and vehicle spawn points, map editing is something that will have to be done through other methods.

Nice to see some progress here :)

I remember the days OpenIV was banned by Rockstar. The LSPDFR team published a statement like "We will release the best MOD ever to prove that you're assholes" (I don't remember the exact statement :teehee:) Are we getting that ultimate LSPDFR this year ? :woot:

Also, will 0.4 come with a massive performance improvement  ? Are you in touch with RPH devs to improve that aspect ?

A lot of fps drops are due to LSPDFR plugins, mainly the Albo's ones, but I still hope it can be optimized... as we can't play seriously without them.

Actually, with a 7700k, 16GB DDR4 and a GTX 1070 o/c (not here to say I have a bigger d*ck than you, just to say that the computer is not the problem) I can barelly stay at solid 60fps in the city when in a pursuit. No problem in patrols/traffic but as soon as I have to go in a pursuit... I often drop to 50fps.

Maybe ELS is also a problem here because the more police car I have, the more fps drops I have. :pinch:

But ELS is another (big) problem... hope it will be updated as well.

As you said, and has been said by the developers before, LSPDFR itself is stable and doesn't suffer from fps drops or lag.  The problem lies with the plugins.  The reality is, you can only play vanilla LSPDFR for so long.  While the LSPDFR add-ons are optional, they sort of aren't.  Arguably, callout plugins - regardless of which you use - are essential for the LSPDFR experience,  I, too, am hoping 0.4 has at least some performance increase, though I honestly have no idea if they can make the mod more stable when the mod itself isn't even the problem.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

That's why I asked if the team is in touch with the RPH team  I suppose only RPH can be really optimized.
Or maybe the LSPDFR API ? Don't know :)

It's been more than a month since the last news update... I wonder when they'd tell us anything new...

Well one of our developers is a RPH developer, so yes.

RPH and LSPDFR are decently optimised, there is no significant frame-drop for either.

Any performance drop you are observing is behaviour by other plugins/addons.

This is why, as much as I love ELS cars, I use non-els. Theres some really nice ELS style carts that don't have the issues of FPS dropping like ELS does. I have an 8350, GTX 1060 6GB and 16GB DDR3, and with Albo's plugins, plus a half dozen other script hook plugins, and a few ragehooks, with everything on ultra (except grass) I only manage around 50FPS, with dips into the low 40s. Sadly, Albo's Policer is the hardest hitter. But alas... can we really play without it xD

Meh. Really. I just hope this version is easy to update with all the mods that I have. I am not crazy about the new features TBH.

Then there'd be no need to install it in the first place.

I'd love to see that search animation and all those built-in customization features in game. Like a strawberry on top of a cake. In other thread @Sam sorta hinted that pursuit is reformed in the 0.4. That would be the cake!

The mod's main functions like arresting/stopping peds doesn't work properly. That;s what they should work on, so that we shouldn't have to have scripts for such little things. EUP was already more than enough. The whole customization ability sounds complicated and i will never use it, I like playing lore friendly, and GTA V already knows which department should patrol which areas and show up when we call for backup. No need to change it all up.
That thing about outfit customization sounds too complicated and unnecesary. I bet that having many custom characters will slow the game down too. At the very least 5 fps. Which for some people make difference.

Either way I bet we will be able to not use the update, as other plugins will most likely get updated as well and will work only with v 0.4, which saddens me.
