Yep, 7 News won't, but Media Watch is one of the most fearless journalism programs on TV, if there's something fish, they'll pursue it.

Is this for real lol? Come on they always try to find something. That the game has his own life that cops get run over by the police itself and other cops just shoot and ask questions after it's not the player but the game. I hope it get fixed in some kind. and this loser from channel 7 picks only bad things to show. not the real good video's what members are making. So I saw this on the national news tonight and had a huge fucking laugh. I think it's hilarious as everything they are "condemning" is perfectly legal in this country. I think this particular government minister needs a good hard look at himself.

The worst part is they are  framing everyone badly even though A) the footage is mostly from GTA IV and B) it's one persons footage showing how they don't play "seriously".

Obviously someone had a sook to the NSW Police Minister dickhead causing all this. I sense a lawsuit coming along

Well another interesting development in the saga, we actually had Troy Grant, or at least someone who sounded very similar, (the minister for NSW Police) who made an appearance in the news article, on a Discord. Unfortunately he left because nobody actually took him seriously but I did try to contact him privately but he hasn't responded.

 

I've got the whole thing on recording which will be uploaded tomorrow.

It's odd, the only public service who have ever gotten in touch with us was a random hospital in the US that wanted us to take down skins of their ambulances -- mostly for the same reason, they saw someone who had recorded themselves being stupid with the skin and moved to protect their name/likeness.

 

I've never heard a single complaint from NSW police. There's been no e-mails and no reports. So this outrage has been very one-sided without any attempt on their side to do anything about it. It's odd you would go to the press first instead of trying to perhaps do some investigation. Seems very opinionated and pushing an agenda.

It's likely that 7News has just done this for clicks and views, $$, and gone to the minister for a statement, showed him the footage and described how shocked he should act. I'd especially suspect this because, like you said, no one has been approached or contacted over this.
This is why Ch7 is among the least popular free-to-air channels here.

I'd say nor the minister or government are actually worried about this, they were just approached. We'll likely not hear anything more of it.
 

I've said it before, I'll say it again;

 

People who want action go to lawyers, people who want publicity go to the news.

This directly affects me, and i've had NO contact from NSW Police, NSW Government or 7 News. I'm certain an investigation would have been completed before the article, as they're basically giving away all the information we need to delete stuff.

 

I've made my LSPDFR videos private temporarily for a couple of days. Once the public forget about this and are fed with more bullshit they'll be up again. The most i'll do is put a disclaimer in my descriptions. There is no law against modding, and the NSW Police logo is ok to use so long as you're not making any money from it.

 

I'm also probably gonna be making a reaction/explanation video on the whole thing.
