So I'm planning to create alternative BCSO fully based on the Ventura SD and using Cockstar's logo parts (Paleto Bay station wall art) someday.

Fair enough. To me, I quite like the 'Mish Mash' Appearance very much. I think it looks quite good.

Anyway, are you looking at something like this?

Thanks to the recently released MetaToolkit and a small new custom script, we can replace peds that spawn in certain places. You may remember that we have replaced the Davis Sheriff Station to be completely LSSD, and La Mesa Police Station has been retextured to a SAHP station, but LSPD officers and cars still spawned there. Now, we are proud to say that this is not the case anymore. The peds have been replaced thanks to decompiled and edited ymt Scenario files, and the cars have been replaced using a small script, as we could not replace them using ymap editing (we don't know the reason). With this change, we are removing the last of the jurisdiction-breaking issues. We are sure you'll love this change! Take a look for yourself (not all changes have been shown)!

Awesome! I've been waiting for something like this for a long time.

Here are a few questions I have:

1- Will those scripts be customizable to some extent to create further third-party addons? i.e. change the peds and vehicles spawning at existing police station (e.g. if someone wanted to add parked SWAT trucks or create Rockford Hills PD units for the Rockford Hills station) or even add whole new spawn locations (e.g. unmarked cars on a stakeout, private security spawn points at industrial sites, etc )?

2- Could the same principle be applied for ambulance and fire departments? (LS City/LS County/Blaine County FDs, spawning custom airport rigs at airport fire stations, hospital-specific ambulances, etc)

3- Will regionalized dispatch by neighborhood also be supported? I know LSPDFR and some user addons (custom backup) allow this when playing as a cop, but AFAIK when playing regular SP, you still get the vanilla city/county response dichotomy. For example, would you be able to have sheriff units respond around Davis, or eventually have region-specific FD response?

@AlexVonShep, Yard1, I have a idea. Your must add the Bravado Gresley LSSD, LSSD Coach Bus, Buffalo S LSPD, Buffalo S LSSD, Vapid Sandking LSSD, Vapid Sandking BCSO, Vapid V450 Ambulance, Declasse Granger Fire Chief, Vapid Stainer Fire Chief, Fire Ladder Truck and SAHP Bison. This cars make very beatiful this RDE 3.0.

And must add LSSD stainer texture variety pack. Adding the Davis, West Vinewood, East Los Santos, Chumash, Great Chapparal and Tongva Valley textures.

Upon realizing this thread existed, I went to look at the imgur vehicles album, and got so excited that I had a heart attack and nearly died. I woke up in the hospital five minutes ago, I have decided I'm suing you guys for giving me said heart attack, have nice day.

On a serious note, I had no idea what you guys have been up to, and kept thinking; "RDE hasn't been updated in a while, god they are so lazy." God was I wrong, this looks absolutely amazing, I'm blown away by the sheer amount of stuff you guys have added, changed, and are still working on. I can't wait to see what's next!

Update 10/09/16: We are no longer accepting beta testers at the moment. (Couple day cooldown)

I want to be beta testers. I am always following this mod and customizing the RDE 2.2. I would like to work with this mod, I have time.

We are proud to present a new addon that will be bundled with the RDE download: RDEmergency!

While Fire & EMS are not the main focus of our mod, we felt that we could improve how they look like, mainly by including separate jurisdictions - just like for law enforcement. The addon features new Ambulance models made by Lt.Caine and new skins for Ambulances and Firetrucks, that thanks to our new small script, will only spawn in their jurisdictions.

From top left to right - Los Santos Fire Department, Los Santos Fire Department LSIA Crash Rescue, Blaine County Fire & Rescue, Los Santos County Fire Department (Not all skins pictured)

The mentioned script works very similarly to the Area Livery Mod for GTA IV (by Sam), and can be configured to support any model, number of liveries or zone. By default, it will only be installed with the RDEmergency addon and configured for the Firetruck and Ambulance. Separate download is possible to appear soon.

Another new exciting and unique feature we are preparing is the custom RDE .OIV Creator - RDE will be installed as an OpenIV package, but this custom program will prepare a customized package, where you can select, in a similar style to Skyrim/Fallout FOMOD/Nexus installers, which addons, configuration and optional files you want to have in your game, and simply install the created OIV package with OpenIV. No more hassle with files! Manual installation will still be possible.

Aside from this, we are still working on the script. While we have squashed most of the bugs (and vehicle AI works great!), the performance badly needs improvements due to all the new features we've added. Right now, we have stutter and FPS drop issues. But don't worry, we have top men working on it. Top. Men.
Content wise, there are a few minor touch-ups to be done, and we are looking into switching the military juggernaut model into something more menacing.

As usual, not giving an ETA.

As an apology for being so silent for so long, have some new screenshots :)

Looks great!! Are you planning to make a custom EMSUnits.xml for Better EMS to utilize these as well? Let me know if you'd like any help in preparing that. The format is very similar to the Custom Backup file which you're already familiar with.

I've already made custom setups for LSPDFR's backup.xml, as well as CustomBackup.xml and EMSUnits.xml, so that's already been sorted :)

You're so on top of things! :)

Hoping we'll see a Park Ranger medic + ambulance skin in there for the areas set up for that in EMS.

Well, I still play LSPDFR with the RDE stuff outside of actual RDE testing, so I was basically doing both myself and the community a service by sorting it all out. It takes some time, especially with the new departments and their jurisdictions, but the final result makes it worth it.

Park rangers (at least at the moment) don't have any specific EMS units, but they do have some additional vehicles that they respond in when something happens in their area. Guess that's a start?

Normally you'd just have regular rangers respond to EMS calls if it's in their area. The default EMSUnits.xml file is set up for that with the pranger slot, but you could add the additional vehicles. The only thing I might change is seeing if you can add a nitrile gloves hand option to the ranger peds that could be equipped through the component settings in the XML file.

For now it's just using the park ranger groups you had already set up, but with the new assets that have been made available to the SA State Parks service included for use too, just to have something different arrive on scene every now and then. If a version of the ranger with gloves is created I'll make sure to add those, though I believe the ambulance paramedics don't wear gloves all the time either (maybe I should look into that). Guess regulations in SA aren't as strict as real life?

Hello fellow wannabe-officers and enthusiastic small/big time robbers! I have a special treat for you today. After all, it is almost Halloween right? So we need some spookeh good stuff from RDE 3.0

I am but a mere Betatester but I was asked to make some sceneshots for RDE. @Yard1 allowed us to post pictures around so I thought: "Why not share this with you?".

Enjoy!
