Terrorism Pranks

Featured Replies

I was watching one of those morning news shows this morning when they started talking about these idiots from Victoria who think it's funny to dress up in middle eastern attire and pretend to be terrorists. In this video, the "prankers" throw bags at people before running away.

The ironic thing is that they are by definition, actually terrorists. They've since been arrested by Victoria Police and have pulled the usual, "go catch real criminals" line. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-02-25/brothers-arrested-counter-terrorism-police-over-pranks/7198874

I absolutely hate these stupid "it's just a prank bro!" channels. They've gone way too far and I'm glad these idiots have gotten arrested. Hopefully they'll be smart enough to not do anymore while on bail, or one of them is going to end up being shot by police.

I'm still waiting for the day where some of these "pranksters" get shot/neutralized by the police. These shenanigans are getting out of control.

  • Even though I'm curious about the video, I'm not going to click play on it. I'm fairly certain that gives it views on YouTube, and I most certainly don't want to do that.

  • Ah, the most educated post you've submitted to this thread.

These guys deserve to have the citizenship take away like to do with real terrorist. Because the are in fact cause 'terror' for by definition the are in fact terrorist.

I can't wait to see what happens if some kids try this on me in the future. I mean, all I'd have to say is; "That's an imminent threat to my well-being as a peace officer!"

It's likely that anyone who shoots one of these kids in self defense would likely not get hassled by the law for it. If I saw that sort of thing coming my way while carrying, I'm running first. If I'm chased, weapons free. That ***'s not funny.

To me the prank thing has gotten out of hand. I have seen people posting videos of random pie to hot sauce attacks in the face. It is assault. No different then punching a random innocent person in face or yielding a weapon at them. This prank above isn't funny at all. Specially in current world events. It's about as dumb as the pranksters who thought it would be funny to dress in real shackles and cuffs running around a metropolitan area where inmates actually wear  oranges with 4 distinct letters in rear or a number. They soon found a army of police after them then cried my rights after being aggressively taken down or cap stunned. That prank and the solo one similiar yielded alone over 180 911 calls for the group one and the second one doing a solo orange suit prank about 90 911 calls from citizens some saying they want to use deadly force if the inmate entered  the business. People need to think before pulling pranks on normal people going about daily life. I agree it is in a sense terrorism in its own form when it is similiar to above.

i think thats a fault of you people. Those who love to watch this bullshit on you tube. Praksters already know that public love to watch this sort of videos and it's a good way to spin up chanel and get max views and subscribers. Demand creates supply. They know it's bring a lot of money. So if you really want to stop it - start from your self and stop watching this bullshit.

I hope that you don't mean the same people that are in this thread complaining about these videos... Who said that any of us are watching this? I for one am not.

A few weeks ago 2 kids (don't remember their age) thought it was a good idea to throw a bag onto a service desk at Amsterdam central station and yell 'allah akbar' while running off. The station was on lockdown for a bit while they investigated. It turned out to be nothing, and when they caught the kids they admitted to it, as they didn't think stuff would get that bad. I don't know if they were going to prosecute them, but they are very likely to send them the bill for the police and bomb squad response.

Some people....

That's being a little heavy handed, pal. I don't think everybody in the comments section of light-hearted prank videos said "Hey you know what would be awesome!? If you wore Muslim clothing and ran around with an alarm clock and some stuff that looks like explosives, throwing it at people and screaming Allah is good!" That's something these guys decided on their own would be funny.

Well technically it's not illegal per se to prank people (at least here, in my country), even like that. But deliberately make a false report of a crime is a criminal offence, up to 5 (?) years inside depending on what category of a crime was reported, and as far as I know our courts do love to apply this article. What I was about?... Ummm, yeah, let them pranks, it's funny and cool, but don't let that bullshit "it's a prank dude" excuse allow them to walk out of the court.

ISIS PRANK IN THE HOOD (GONE SEXUAL) (GONE WRONG) COPS CALLED, ALMOST DIED!!!!

I hope these pranksters get shut down one day, just plain moronic.

Given the recent terrorism attacks and threats worldwide, I don't think you'd be laughing if someone screaming stuff in Arabic threw a bag at you before running away from it.

@Illusionary I don't know if you saw it but two days ago the two brothers behind these videos did an interview with 7 news (VIC) and as it turns out all the "people" they have scared in their videos are actually friends/family members paid to act in these stunts. Hence why all the people running scared are of Muslim decent and are generally the same people over and over in each video/take. And while yes it is a stupid thing to do given the events which take place everyday it is in the end meant as a bit of a joke. Not a very clever or well thought through one though.
