Do any of you still enjoy LCPDFR?

Featured Replies

I kind of feel like as GTA V gets more and more evolved(LSPDFR too) that the activity of LCPDFR has gone down a huge amount, even though it is still a great modification(despite IV's shortcomings and unstableness).

That being said, do any of you still actively play and enjoy LCPDFR? Are there even any more clans that play it? Thanks for your answers.

Nope. Haven't touched it ever since GTA V came out.

Thing is, GTA IV is so unstable with script mods that extended sessions of LCPDFR were kind of impossible. I actually kept two copies on my drive - one exclusively for LCPDFR, and the other for random

The only reason I would go back to IV is because I sometimes enjoy the urban sprawl of Liberty City, but the unstableness is too much.

but idk

I still occasionally play LCPDFR. However, I can't stand the crashes which is why I mostly stick to V.

Liberty City, a place where the medics are more lethal than the murderers

I don't currently play V(I could upgrade my desktop if I really wanted to), but I personally feel that IV has everything that I'd really want, anyway. I haven't even barely put a dent in the IV story, I don't think I have even on the console version. I mostly play it just for FR.

Sadly though, FR isn't being updated and still has a bit of bugs.

I do, because the Liberty City vibe is great. Those projects, narrow alleys, rain, brown leaves, noisy subways... I feel that the atmosphere in IV is better than in V, probably because the V is too perfect. But the crashes... Lord.

I really love the city vibe as well. But I can barely play 10 minutes of the game which sucks...

I play gta iv because my computer couldn't handle gta v

Are you sure about that, what are you pc specs? Even with my previous graphics card (Nvidia GT630) GTA V looked and played much smoother than GTA IV.

I'm not familiar with laptop graphic cards but I believe you could play GTA V just fine, plenty of other people seem to be playing with that card google link. To be honest I don't remember having any CTDs ever, the only things that crashed were plugins and even those haven't crashed in a very long time.

R* will release a new DLC this month so keep an eye out for sales. Definitely a good investment, I've put 255h in the game so far and I find to places to explore and new things to do every day.

Thing is, GTA IV is so unstable with script mods that extended sessions of LCPDFR were kind of impossible. I actually kept two copies on my drive - one exclusively for LCPDFR, and the other for random stuff. I deleted the 'FR copy last week (I gave it a little funeral) because GTA V has kind of made it obsolete in near every way. I still love Liberty City's map though- I kind of want to see an expanded map in the new engine; Liberty city and Liberty state/Alderney, the same size as Los Santos. That would be amazing.

Dunno what you guys are on about with these crashes, the only time I crash is when I quit the game.

I think I might stick with LCPDR until LSPDFR becomes a bit more developed.

Also, just a question. Did you guys make the GTA:SA version of LSPD:FR or was it someone else?

Just my opinion.

I play IV more than V! I find the mods more extensive and just... better. I also play it more so I can do Roleplay with my freinds. I think IV and V should co-exist and people should play both.

The only thing in my opinion that LCPDFR has over LSPDFR is online. Roleplaying as police officers online with friends is hella fun. But with how much progress the GTA V modding community has made in the small amount of time GTA V has been out for PC and how much more stable it is compared to IV, I'm sticking with LSPDFR.

I've actually gravitated back toward playing LCPDFR more often.  I've finally managed to make GTA IV somewhat stable on my computer, and made it look halfway decent with an ENB and Nvidia anti-aliasing.  There's something fun about the crowded city atmosphere of Liberty City.  Add in a few plugins (The Wasteland by LtFlash most notably) and you're in for a good time.

Of course, being that I live in NYC, I am a little biased. :)
