Two Russian Officers Killed During a Heist
Aha, now it makes a lot more sense. It also makes me think that the police officers were ambushed and gunned down without been given the chance to surrender. Any information if there was gunfire exchanged? Unfortunately this sounds like and inside job, I really hope it wasn't someone in the police force who tipped the robbers.

Two Russian Officers Killed During a Heist
Damn that sucks, RIP to the officers... Where did they stole the money from? Also were they chased by the police car up to the place of the shooting, from the images in the link the area doesn't look like the scene of the heist. These are not the actions of desperate people, more like greedy thugs.

I have my new PC, and it is amazing
Do people with high post count age faster? Because lately some of them began to sound like grumpy old farts. Actually being bothered if someone gets likes the easy way, wow... @jackct I very well know the feeling, 2015 is the first time in the last 5-6 years when I can play a game on high/highest settings the year it is released.

Turkey Shoots Down Russian Jet
Too bad Russian and American interests never seem to align. I know what you mean by the "right people" but it's really a shame there are no actual right people that can handle the mess that's in the middle east. I mean my dictator is better than your dictator certainly doesn't help the people living there. The best anyone can do is either, set up a totalitarian state where the government controls every aspect of a citizens life and so keeping any potential threats in check, but then again that's a really bad way to live. Or the Muslim communities who don't support these extremist groups expel them from every social aspect of their lives, banish them from mosques, stop their funding by any means and expose them to the authorities. The second option would be for countries who won their freedom but now they suffer from attacks from terrorist groups. Sounds pretty easy to do yet that doesn't happen not even in the Muslim communities who integrated very well in Western culture. I think it will take dozens or hundreds of years before Middle East will reach the level of peace and cooperation Europe has now.

ACtive shooter SAn Bernadino
I'm glad it's over. Hopefully the attacker who was arrested will be willing to explain everything, judging by the fact that he split from his buddies and didn't stay for the big showdown with the cops. Their preparation might indicate a terrorist act but I also suspect something must have triggered it in that conference room. I mean you don't go to a party and then commit a mass shooting at the same place without them being connected somehow. Or maybe you do, I have no idea what's in the mind of those people. In any case I was very impressed by the level of preparedness and quick response of the authorities handling such an incident. Also listening to what people inside the building did during the attack, barricaded themselves and took precautions to avoid being spotted or struck by stray bullets was reassuring. I'm very glad people in the USA know what to do in such a case, in my country 90% of the population probably doesn't even know what a gun shot sounds like, nevertheless know what to do in a terrorist attack. A bomb attack was foiled two days ago in Romania, a Hungarian extremist group planned to detonate a bomb during the National Day parade in a small town. Sorry for the off-topic.

ACtive shooter SAn Bernadino
One of the shooters has been taken out. ABC news is showing life footage, he's on the ground and most likely has bled out. Good riddance! Here's the escape vehicle that was seen by the witnesses after the shooting

ACtive shooter SAn Bernadino
The world is going to shit, attacking a center for people with disabilities... Tell me they didn't read that in some book... RIP to the victims and godspeed to the LEOs, I hope they nail the bastards quickly! Some info about the Inland Regional Center http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/san-bernardino-shooting-what-inland-regional-center-n473016 EDIT: Anyone heard who might be the victims? The live feed on ABC news said the attackers went to a conference room that was rented for a banquet. So the location of the attack might not be related to why did it happen.

Turkey Shoots Down Russian Jet
I actually meant the opposite, that other NATO countries didn't do the same thing under similar circumstances, that Turkey's response was disproportionate to the level of threat. I don't believe Turkey only wanted to put a stop to Russian airspace violations, that's only a pretext. I think Turkey caused this incident to disrupt the cooperation between Russia and NATO in the area while portraying themselves as victims of Russian aggression. That's the only play that makes sense to me which actually could have made up for all the repercussions that followed and helped Turkey's interests if it have played out their way. Erdogan is practically a dictator in a democratic country, he will do whatever it takes to stay in power, including siding with the enemy to keep the Kurds in check. His actions keep sabotaging the collective effort to stop ISIS, he is clearly not on board with Western agenda. If his "friend" is the biggest enemy of the Western world, that's more reason for me to believe that the motives behind this incident are far more sinister. To me every life is important, that's why I chose a career in the medical field. And no offense but veteran pilots are not expendable, they are one of the country's most valuable assets and their death being facilitated by a friendly/neutral country is not irrelevant. There is no war between Russia and Turkey so lethal action is almost never warranted in these scenarios. As a conclusion, was Turkey withing its rights to shoot the plane down, yes. Do I think Turkey had ulterior motives for shooting down the plane and it had nothing do to with standing up to the Russian bear, absolutely!

Turkey Shoots Down Russian Jet
You think now RuAF will stay clear of turkish borders? No, they are now flying their bombers with escorts. If this scenario repeats itself, the Russian escorts will have to engage the Turkish fighters (even though it will result in mass casualties for Russia for being outnumbered), so yeah Russia could shoot down a Turkish fighter in self defense. Image the shitstorm that would cause. Russia has a history with almost every NATO country of violating their airspace, locking on their fighters and all that stuff. How many planes were shot down since the cold war? I guess the eurowussies are just too cool headed. If your read my comment carefully, I didn't ask whether the shooting was justified, but whether putting the Russian pilots in a life threatening situation was deemed necessary by the Turkish forces. Turkey shot down the bomber because the wanted to, not because they had to. There is no definitive proof to what Putin said about Turkey, but it's not a stretch to think that Turkey is holding back against ISIS for various reasons, judging by the fact that Turkey's involvement against ISIS is almost non-existent. So I think this shooting was premeditated and aimed to cause an international incident and gain support from the international community, which lately has been accusing Turkey of secretly aiding ISIS. Read this article if you have time. link

His old pc was top of the line so I'm suspecting the new one will require a small power station to run and sooner or later it will become self-aware and take over the world. :D

Active Shooter- Colorado Springs Shopping Center-4 Cops Hit
+RIP+ to the police officer and the two civilians and my condoleances to their families. Good quote Ranger61, we are living in a time where people who feel betrayed by society often resort to violence to express their discontent. It feels like the human race is getting dumber, resorting to primitive behavior to speak up. Of course only a very small percentage is guilty of this, but they still manage to terrorize the rest of the world. I often wonder what kind of damage (beside the emotional one) is caused with these senseless killings, what if one of the victims could have become or gave birth to the next Albert Einstein.

Turkey Shoots Down Russian Jet
I agree with this statement 100%. ISIS should have been stopped in it's tracks long before it got any momentum, but the Syrian Rebels preferred to do nothing when ISIS was focused on Iraq and now there's no militia capable of stopping them. Without foreign aid, the FSA would not last long fighting on two fronts and the SAA is in such bad shape that it would crumble against the ferocity of the Daesh. I don't see any sort of resolution to this conflict until ISIS is dealt with and that's only going to happen if NATO or a few of the major powers in the region engage them in full scale war. It seems like the most savage group ends up getting the power and not the one that fights for the right reasons. People are always more driven by hate than by justice.

Turkey Shoots Down Russian Jet
Thanks for the correction, I've not been up to date with the latest news. Russia's support to the current Syrian regime is the base of the current Russian-Turkish volatile relations, Turkey wants to see Assad gone and Russia is not speeding up the process.

Turkey Shoots Down Russian Jet
NATO is a defensive alliance so if Turkey keeps up this trend and Russia ends up shooting down one of their planes in defense, the NATO allies will not have any obligation to step in. Hopefully it will never come to that but shooting down the plane for entering your airspace for less than 20 seconds is ridiculous. Two pilots where shot and killed while parachuting because of Turkey's ego. Do you think that's fair and justified? Plenty of countries have trespassed into neighboring airspace with no ill intend, the USAF did it so do other NATO countries in Europe. Even if they are allies they are not allowed to enter allied airspace without authorization. It's not like Turkey had no idea why are Russian planes near it's border and what are they doing there. The problem is that they are not bombing the right side of the war.

ISIS Threatens NYC in New Propaganda Video
It would be truly idiotic for them to announce their next target. More than likely the US intelligence services have eyes on anyone who could pull something like this and releasing a video beforehand would attract a lot of unwanted attention. They are probably blowing smoke in our eyes and it's a distraction for their next real attack which I believe would take place in the EU or Russia. But let's hope they'll never get to put their plans into action. I didn't get to live the communist era but damn if I wouldn't sleep better knowing that the some neo-Securitate/NKVD/Stasi etc is always searching our drawers and everyone spies on everyone.

Texture quality
I've been struggling with the same issue for quite some time. OpenIV really messes up .png images (and other formats for that matter). Just like you did, if I notice a loss of quality or color I save it as a .dds file (same settings) even though is larger in size. I don't know the details but I've heard .dds files actually are better for video games (load faster, use less VRAM or something like that) than .png images. There is game for which I made some mods a while ago and at some point the devs changed most of their images from .png and .tga formats to dds. I asked them why and they told me the dds files where superior to the other ones for some reason I don't remember anymore. How does the png texture look in-game? Such small details are not even noticeable unless you standing very close to the car.

Terror Attack in Paris, France, 18 confirmed dead.
I'd say the ISI takes the crown, there's nothing worse than playing ball with the enemy... off-topic I know. There are probably hundreds of individuals in France flagged as potential threats based on their internet activity, known associates or their trips abroad. If they don't indicate any sort of terrorist activity, there is no reason to keep them under close surveillance, there isn't enough money or manpower to watch all of them. The Charlie Hebdo shooters didn't attract any attention for years before the attack. Doing surveillance or even house searches without any grounds would mean violating the rights they enjoyed as French citizens. I've read it on another forum but it fits the subject. Carlo Schmid said: "It's not part of the concept of democracy that it creates the preconditions of its own destruction, we should also have the courage to be intolerant towards those who wish to use a democratic system in order to kill it off." He said it in a different context but the general idea still applies, those who wish us harm should not benefit from rights and liberties as the rest of us. F*ck your freedom of expression if you support the idea of having my head on a stick.

Terror Attack in Paris, France, 18 confirmed dead.
ISIS made a statement that these attacks were a direct result of the French bombing campaign in Syria. If anything, France now suffers for having the guts to take action against this growing world threat. Also, OBL declared jihad against the Western world since the 90's, before US and NATO had any substantial military presence in the ME (1st gulf war not being directly triggered by the US). Did the US and NATO had a hand in creating these radical Islamic movements, yes I believe so, but back then the USSR was a much more immediate threat. ISIS terrorizes the ME much more than the US ever did. There's no justification for the reign of terror ISIS and all the other wahhabi factions have inflicted on the people living in the ME, they are just evil to the core and need to be eradicated.

Emergency Dispatch Simulator
Why is that? I always thought it's a honorable job where you can directly assist people in need and make a difference. I assume you have good day and bad days just like any other job. How frequent do you get prank calls or have to deal with nutjobs and does the law in your country punish those who abuse the emergency phone number?

Adding new car files
Watch this video tutorial. It should answer all your questions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-M05f2MYo70 Just in case the video doesn't mention creating a mods folder, you just have to create a new folder called "mods" in your main GTA V folder and copy any .rpf file you want to edit there. Keep in mind inside the mods folder you have to use the exact same file path as in the main GTA folder. For example: -x64e.rpf should have the file path "Grand Theft Auto V\mods\x64e.rpf" -update.rpf should have the file path "Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf" -dlc.rpf from patchday3ng should have the file path "Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday3ng\dlc.rpf" etc. Then when you use OpenIV to replace the files, double check that you are replacing the files from the mods folder and not the original game files.

Can't create sign in token.
Never had this problem so I can't say if these solutions work or not but after a quick search it seams to be cause by the windows firewall. You can try I few things that worked for other people: 1) go to Windows Firewall > Advanced Settings > Outbound Rules > Disable the GTA V.exe. (I've checked on my computer and I don't have GTAV.exe in the Outbound rules list but maybe you do) 2) Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> Allow an app or feature through Windows firewall -> browse for subprocess.exe located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Social Club. 3) Turn off Firewall (I hope it doesn't come to that) I'll keep looking...

Why do creaters,designers,modders...
Your analogy is wrong, walking is a motor skill while being able to assimilate information and put it into practice is a cognitive skill. Babies don't want to learn to walk and nor do they understand the process of standing up and moving your legs to get somewhere, their brains are simply set after millions of years of evolution to make them want to stand up and try to move around. It takes practice to master but it's not a conscious learning process. The rest of your post is pure garbage, you talk about how easy is to make textures (who said it was hard?) and that trying things out in ZModeler isn't the proper way to learn modding (which is what I said) while you've never done any of that. If you wait on other people to create free shit for you to play with, you don't get to bitch about not being up to your standards. I really don't see the point of this topic beside proving what a self entitled prick you are.

To all those pirates out there ...
Or just be a really good boy/girl, as your parents already had the money to buy you a expensive pc, they'll probably pay for the game also. Knowing how and when to ask is the trick. At 12-15 y/o, getting that money from anyone but your family quite unlikely anyway. I thought I read somewhere on this forum that the latest version of RHP is compatible with cracked games.
