I respect Trump, because unlike every other candidate and politician, he speaks his mind. Too bad that humanoid robot Hilary is gonna be our next president

  • Yes, speaking his mind all the time isn't necessarily a good thing though. Part of being a leader is knowing what to say and when to say it, if you go around saying whatever you are thinking right now

  • Here's the issue with speaking your mind: It doesn't work so well if what you think is stupid and/or wrong. Here's the issue with blaming political correctness for everything: There actually are thing

lol that's the only reason I respect him. Hillary is smart but she's just robotic, like you said.

I don't like trump, he speaks some very discriminatory, unnecessary and hurtful things. Basically, he acts just like a clown.

Right now, the presidents I like are Chris Christtie and Rand Pual.

Yes, speaking his mind all the time isn't necessarily a good thing though. Part of being a leader is knowing what to say and when to say it, if you go around saying whatever you are thinking right now you are going to piss people off and the last thing we need right now is to be ruining diplomatic relationships with countries we have worked so hard to get on better terms with. Not to mention the absolutely crazy and racist things he has said. I have no respect for him.

Aside from that video which is awesome, the appeal of Trump is that despite some of what he says being edgy, we're used to politicians who are constantly bound by political correctness and speak in empty rhetoric. Trump tells it like it is and says what people think but are afraid to say, which resonates with a lot of people.

Which is great and all except most people don't know jack shit about diplomacy and neither does Donald Trump. We need someone who has political experience not a man who is used to saying and doing whatever he wants with little to no consequences.

Hope that the new President will succeed in restoring relationship with my country. Those sanctions, military exercises, and cold-war style rhetoric really start to annoy. Although I'm not sure that Trump is the best person for it...

I don't want to derail this thread too much but I couldn't bite my tongue on this one. You think the US's sanctions and exercises are what is wrong with that picture? What about Russia's annexation of Crimea and covert support to the rebels in Eastern Ukraine? Are we supposed to just let that slide like we did with Hitler in the 1930s when he started annexing Austria and the Czech Republic? Funny how Putin is using almost the exact same excuse Hitler used too.

Hurting people's feelings isn't against the law. They'll just have to grow a set of balls and deal with it. He has every right to say whatever he wants, whether it's right or wrong. That's why I respect him. He defies the ideology of political correctness.

I agree. While I do have respect for Donald Trump, I honestly don't think that he's competent enough to actually be our president. In all sincerity, I don't think he's really serious about running for president. I feel like he's only doing this for the media attention.

Because she's a woman, and that's all that matters. Kind of like how when Obama first ran for president, 97% of blacks voted for him. The second time he ran, it was something like 80+% voted for him.

I don't support these actions of my government, as I don't support many things that take place here. But if you think that sanctions help, they don't. People here became so aggressive towards the US and the EU like they were never before, and that's the only visible effect that sanctions have. Don't forget that for more than 80 years this country's citizens had no right to travel abroad, no free market, not much money (only fixed income), and now it's like "we're restoring the USSR so the world tries to stop us".

This is why I hope that the new US President will come up with another strategy that can actually affect our leaders, not the people. (However, arresting Russian property abroad is a pretty good move, lol, it really bites them)

Be angry at the Russian government, not the US and EU. We aren't the ones invading Ukraine and sending fighters to intercept aircraft in the Baltic Sea.

Maybe you should explain this not to me but to other russians. As I said, I'm not the one who supports our government.
