l3ubba got a reaction from Remotr in Sovereign CitizensThe first bitch going on and on about Article 4 of the Articles of Confederation. When I first heard that I looked it up and it has nothing to do with what she is talking about. It is obvious that she just heard about it from someone and took their word. I never take anyone's word no matter how qualified they are. If someone wants to quote a statute or case law I look it up myself. People misread and misinterpret law all the time and I don't want to go off their word and make myself look like a dumbass when I try quoting them. Free inhabitant has nothing to do with being exempt from laws, please smack the shit out of anyone who tries to quote it.
Also the whole traveling vs. driving thing is almost just as retarded if not more retarded than the free inhabitant argument.
If there is one thing I absolutely hate more than anything in the world it is dumbass people who try to act like they know the law. I have spent over 8 years studying this shit and I am nowhere close to being an expert so some asshat who read a couple of wikipedia articles in 30 minutes trying to quote some obscure article means nothing to me.

l3ubba got a reaction from unr3al in Terror in Ansbach Bavaria GermanySo if a middle eastern country invites us to set up a base in their country we should turn it down? You do realize that Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and all the other middle eastern countries invite us to stay there. There is not a single country in the entire world that we occupy. Every country we have a military base in we are there because that country allows us to be there. All of these countries want US bases there because it benefits them in some way (economically, militarily, etc). There might be portions of the population in those countries that don't want us there but that is between them and their government, not us.

l3ubba got a reaction from Riley24 in Breaking news - Shooting in MunichHmmmm, I wonder what has happened in the past 2-3 years that would possibly be a cause to this? When you have an extremist group such as ISIS make huge gains and increase their global influence you are going to have an increase in attacks. The same thing happened in the mid-2000s when things were heating up in Iraq and Afghanistan. There were several large attacks in the UK and Spain. However, I wouldn't say that attacks have "spiked", there have been an increase in big attacks but 5 or so major attacks over the span of a couple years doesn't really feel like a spike.
That all being said, ISIS does not actually plan or carry out these attacks. They do not have the resources or manpower to do so. What ISIS does is create propaganda to try and convince people who are already in other countries to carry out attacks in their hometowns because ISIS cannot afford to send people from Syria or Iraq to carry out these attacks. They convince other people to carry out lone wolf attacks and then those attacks happen they take credit for them even though they provided no planning, funding, or other resources to the attacks.

l3ubba got a reaction from Riley24 in Breaking news - Shooting in MunichAs someone who is currently living in Europe I can assure you it is not a "regular thing". Yes, there have been attacks but I can still walk around downtown and I am not worried about getting shot or stabbed.
No, technically it is a group of countries. The open borders within the EU is actually a great thing and there are several economic benefits to having open borders. Obviously you have to decide what the balance is between these economic benefits and the security of your borders. Despite what the news is showing I still think these open border policies are good things.

l3ubba got a reaction from unr3al in West St.Louis Officer Fatally Shpt During Traffic StopHoly shit this is the funniest thing I have heard all day. You do know that if the martial law was declared that is pretty much a police state even if it is the military enforcing it. Not to mention the military is not trained to be a police force. As someone who is in the Army right now I can tell you having the military act as the police would be far worse. We are not trained to police people, we are trained to kill enemy combatants and destroy other Armies. Plus even if we went with your plan it isn't like the US military hasn't had cases where soldiers murdered innocent civilians before right? No of course not, they are perfect.
Why should a police officer apologize for defending himself? If someone is trying to harm me I'm not going to apologize for taking necessary action to make sure I don't die. And it isn't a conspiracy theory if it has already happened. There have already been several cases in the past couple years to kill police officers because of these police shootings. Not saying every black person is in on it, but there are people out there who want to take revenge on police.

A historic day indeed! I think like most people online, we get wrapped up in the thrill of the debate and forget we actually agree on most things.

l3ubba got a reaction from Riley24 in Dallas Officers Fired Upon at a BLM Protest (Updated 12:57 AM EST)Lol, that seems to be an accurate picture.
On this historic day, let it be known that Riley24 and l3ubba have finally agreed on something. I declare July 10th a national holiday! But on a serious note to everything you said...yes. (You are probably going to open up your notification tab and say "Shit! Another reply from l3ubba!" lol)

And I'm actually going to wrap this debate up, because it seems like its unnecessary. I largely agree with almost all the points you're making. Of course those protesters shouldn't throw fireworks, just as the cops shouldn't launch teargas at journalists. There was no rioting in Dallas, Pittsburgh, or Los Angeles, because those police departments got ahead of the issue and reached out to the community. St. Paul, Ferguson, and Baltimore PD did nothing of the sort. This isn't an issue where one side is totally in the wrong and the other side is totally innocent, I don't think either of us are claiming that's the case. What's infinitely more important than rounding up protesters is fixing the system that they're protesting in the first place. People did it with OWS too, they sat around grumbling about how much they hated their tactics and called them dirty hippies, no-lives, etc etc. But wall street screwed those people as well. The simple fact is that neither you or I have ever been so outraged about something that we've taken it to the streets, because I'm guessing we've never had something to be so outraged about. I don't even know how many activists and demonstrators there are in the country, maybe tens of thousands? Tens of thousands of people that are THAT angry are not a group of people that we can expect to be totally reasonable and peaceful 100%. Its our job, as people who are more level headed, as well as the job of the police to start re-examining the justice system and probably police tactics/training as well. That's all that I want to see happen. And that's why I think our debate here is unnecessary, because I think that is something that you can agree to as well. *crosses fingers*

l3ubba got a reaction from Lee10 in Dallas Officers Fired Upon at a BLM Protest (Updated 12:57 AM EST)I didn't bring up the protesters. Like I said, I don't care that they are protesting and I understand why they are but at the end of the day it doesn't change the fact that they are doing so in an illegal way so I'm not going to feel sorry for them when the police show up to arrest them. I haven't really found any videos on the protests (except for one that someone linked on FB) for some reason all my search results show the riots in St. Paul from a couple years ago. From what I have heard the protests are mostly peaceful but have got a little out of hand in a few cases such as the video below. I apologize in advance for the annoying ass narrator, needs to pull the mic out of his throat or better yet stop talking.
And in this video the police are just sitting there taking it. They aren't even doing anything back. These protesters are blocking the interstate and throwing fireworks at the cops and the cops just stand there and take it.
I do believe there are systemic issues in the criminal justice system as a whole (not just law enforcement) and I think there are legitimate issues that need to be fixed. I also think that law enforcement agencies across the country are trying to address some of these issues. I also think that BLM is a little quick to jump on the "racists cops just murdered a black person" button. No matter which case it is, they immediately protest. There could be a case of justified use of force such as in Ferguson but they will scream that it was murder. They want the justice system to treat them equally and give them a chance but they won't afford the police officers the same right. I might have a little more sympathy for them if they actually waited to hear the facts and see the evidence of the case. If the shooting happened at 6PM on Monday and you are protesting at 7AM on Tuesday you really haven't had any time to learn what happened, to me that is just ignorant.
I don't know if these two recent shootings were justified or not. There isn't enough evidence to go off of with the videos that have been released so I am going to wait and see what the investigation reveals. If the investigation in the Louisiana case reveals that the suspect did have a gun in his pocket and he was reaching for it then I will say it is justified, if it turns out nothing was there then I'll say that those cops need to be charged.

l3ubba got a reaction from Ranger61 in Dallas Officers Fired Upon at a BLM Protest (Updated 12:57 AM EST)The shooting and the DoJ investigation of FPD were two separate investigations. The shooting brought the spotlight on FPD but the investigation of the department as a whole was not the same as the investigation of the shooting. The shooting (one particular incident) was justified however as a whole the department was messing up pretty bad. Overall I agree with the results of both investigations. I agree that the shooting was justified and I am happy that FPD got called out on the injustices going on in Ferguson so that they can be addressed.

Actually, it looks like the Baltimore unrest after the Freddie Gray incident. Not to defend it, (I thoroughly enjoyed the mom putting the beating one kid out there) the unrest stemmed in part from a poor relationship between police and the community they served. Baltimore ended up settling with Freddie Gray's family. The taxpayers paid out more than $5 million dollars. This is on top the $5 million it had already paid over the past several years for something like 100 incidents of excessive force.
Going back further toward the beginning of the BlackLivesMatter social media thing, the Justice Department released a rather damning report against the Ferguson Police Department. Despite the fact, that the shooting that initiated the investigation was determined to be justified.
There are legitimate grievances behind these protests. Police departments that are not prepared, particularly in a post-Ferguson era, place a lot of lives.
This is not to defend the rhetoric. Perhaps I've grown tone-deaf in what has become a very toxic political and social environment, but I don't think many of the people protesting wanted what happened. If we are going to throw blame, I'm sure we can pretty much throw a stick at whatever direction we like, and justifiably smack someone.
Did the BlackLivesMatter (looking at those that popped off at mouth) and the majority of those protesting want this ? Did those who believe in the Right to bear arms want this? Did the two political parties that have our nation divided want this?
I think the resounding answer is no. I believe the only one that really wanted this is Micah Xavier Johnson. We as a society is still here to correct our errors if we choose to.

l3ubba got a reaction from Lee10 in Dallas Officers Fired Upon at a BLM Protest (Updated 12:57 AM EST)Hmmmmm when I say that about the police people say that I am just ignoring bad police or don't want to address the issue. Why shouldn't we focus on all the good police do?
My issue with the BLM movement is they only focus on when the police kill a black man not when black men are being killed by other black men. Why do black lives matter only when the police are the shooters? They are being very selective in which lives matter to them and I see that as somewhat hypocritical.
People keep saying "all cops need to do to be considered 'good cops' is speak out against bad cops and injustices" but from what I have seen most of the cops I know do exactly that. Where the issue seems to be is what cops and civilians consider an injustice. Every cop I know spoke out when the cop in S.C. shot and killed that guy who was running away after trying to grab his taser. Every cop I knew thought that was too far and wanted to see him prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The biggest issue is that everyone starts protesting before even learning what happened. As soon as a black man is killed by the police there are protest, nobody knows what happened or if it was justified but solely because the person was black it automatically calls for a protest. And it isn't like police have been trying to address the issue. Everyone is calling for more transparency so what do the police do? Start issuing out body cams like crazy, they start focusing on more community policing. You can't say they aren't trying.

l3ubba got a reaction from McAwesome6934 in Alton Sterling officer involved shootingI don't understand why people think these things. Do people actually think that police officers enjoy shooting people? If they do then they are greatly mistaken. I have never met an officer who shows up for work and says "I want to get involved in a shooting/fight/[insert use of force] today".

l3ubba got a reaction from Hastings in Alton Sterling officer involved shootingThere isn't enough information to go off of and just like pretty much every shooting that is happening people are getting outraged before they even know what is happening. BLM is only protesting because a black man got shot and that is my problem with that movement. They automatically assume that if a black man is shot by the police it is because the police were racist and felt like murdering a black man that day. If black lives truly mattered to them they would be protesting all the black men who are killed by other black men across the country on a more regular basis than police shootings.
I don't see why these officers would just randomly decide to yell "GUN GUN GUN!" and shoot a guy for no reason, however, I'm sure a thorough investigation will be conducted and appropriate action will be taken. Unfortunately for these officers and other officers who have shot black men they have already been determined to be guilty by the American public and no amount of evidence will clear their names.
