I currently work a job, and it's the 6th job I applied to and the only one to call me back. I understand how hard it is to get a job, that's not what I'm arguing here. I'm arguing, similarly to our previous discussion on welfare, that people need to get up and go look for a job before they sit around and claim that there are none available. Looking for a job is quite easy, especially in my county. They're everywhere, but getting one of those jobs is where the hard part comes in. I'm not saying that getting a job is easy, it's not. I know that from personal experience when I've been rejected personally by business owners and managers. I'm saying that if (certain) people would actually get up and go make an effort to find a job, they probably will. The next step is applying and doing what you've got to do to try and get that job. Sometimes you'll give it all you got and you just won't get the job, but someone else will for sure. That's because they have something that you don't, it's just the way the system works here. I applied to a job this weekend and got rejected, but my neighbor that lives up the block got the job. Why the hell didn't I get it if I applied first and gave the application my all? Because he has something I don't. He has a skill, quality, something that he's better at doing than I am. What's my point? Finding a job isn't the challenge, at least under my very common circumstances. Getting a job is the challenge.

Now don't take this as me attacking your service. I've got a lot of respect for you for several reasons, I just disagree that actually finding open jobs is a challenge.

Well the way you have been talking about it makes it sound like it is easy. You talk as if finding a job is easy or if there aren't any jobs where you live just move to a new area as if that is any easier.

I respect Trump, because unlike every other candidate and politician, he speaks his mind. Too bad that humanoid robot Hilary is gonna be our next president

  • Yes, speaking his mind all the time isn't necessarily a good thing though. Part of being a leader is knowing what to say and when to say it, if you go around saying whatever you are thinking right now

  • Here's the issue with speaking your mind: It doesn't work so well if what you think is stupid and/or wrong. Here's the issue with blaming political correctness for everything: There actually are thing

Nonononono, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that if you can't find a job, you aren't looking hard enough. There are jobs everywhere, you just have to look. May not be the best job, but it's a job. If you can't get a job, that's  understandable and probably not your fault.

Finding a job and getting a job are the exact same thing unless you mean find a job like "oh look I found this job opening that I can't apply for" which, in that case, what good does finding a job do if you can't get the job you found? Not to mention if you want to start going down the road of finding a job vs getting a job you still said the quote below where you used the word "get" vs "find".

Or just get a real job... There isn't much more to the concept, with all due respect man.

Yes. I'm targeting the people that say "Oh, I can't find any job openings anywhere". There are plenty of job openings, not very hard to find them actually getting that job is where the real challeng comes in, and it's where I assume a lot of people fail at since that's what I failed at a few times. I could easy name 20 jobs in my area I could apply for. The chances of me getting any of those jobs? The same as everyone else. Not very high.

That isn't what you said earlier but whatever, go ahead and start back pedaling as quick as you can. And I'm not sure what point you just proved anyway. People are lazy for not finding job openings even if they aren't qualified for them or are unlikely to get them?

I'm not sure why you're still holding a grudge on something that I said earlier. I admitted what I said earlier was wrong and I've made my current stance much more clear so I'm not sure why you keep bringing that back up.

I'm not holding a grudge, this is an internet forum nothing is personal for me. And you never admitted you were wrong, you just kept on changing what you said. I'm confused, your point is there are plenty of jobs to go around if you look hard enough but getting those jobs is the challenging part yet people who don't have jobs are just lazy and wouldn't be in the position they're in if they just got of their butts and looked for a job, the same jobs that are hard to get.
