Is it bad that I'm already sort of coding a mod like PoliceHelper? I've just started working on it and LSPDFR isn't out.... We'll see?

​Not bad at all. I'd be amazed to see something as good as policehelper in GTAV. Is it possible to use any of the code from the original? Good luck on making it, i'd love to see one.

Huh, younger than the average modder. Not judging or anything, in fact I see it as a good thing. If you don't mind me asking, which languages do you use and how did you learn them? I ask because I'm the same age and very interested in learning script (I'm specifically interested in Lua) by modding GTA 5. Anyways, it doesn't hurt to start your mod. There is a chance that LSPDFR could be completely incompatible with your mod, but it doesn't really make sense not to work on it

I wouldn't want to fly the hydra... 40 years of unreliable hydraulics and antique electronics. I'll stick with my Lazer.

 

Here's a question, is that a real benefit or is it just testing a vehicle adder function, so you can add 'BLISTA3' in the .Ini and use the Go-Go space monkey blista? 

Question for Sam/LMS, how much better is the AI in your opinion? I notice the drivers tend to go crazy at the sound of a gunshot and instantly run you over or drive into stuff, but that's normal I guess. Also is there any chance of the police checkpoints/roadblocks making it over to LSPDFR?

I also hope you can frisk people while cuffed now , and maybe a bit more depth into searching and looking up suspects.

I mainly focus on C#, VB.NET & PHP. But I know a lot of other languages. Also I am self taught/youtube taught.

​The scripthook functions are entirely different from GTAIV, I have tried remaking some of the popular GTA IV Mods and have failed because of the limtied functions that we have at this time, most of them are still encrpyted. I cant wait for RAGE though, I'm sure it'll be awesome to develop with.

You're damn right it is. 

But yes, that image could just be a testing image detailing different possibilities in the future, or just a proof of concept (I genuinely don't know the exact nature). It's good to remember that anything you see could change between now and whenever the first release is, and you should assume they're all demonstrations of work still in progress. 

I expect alot of screenshots like this in the future...

So are you guys still relying on guessing animation names? You seem to have made a lot of progress if thats the case(and if it wasnt the case as well) :D

​Yes, sadly.  We have access to the animations already used in the game's scripts - they've helped a lot, but we've had to guess a few too.

 

Great work as always Sam (& team)! Have you considered including slicktop police staniers to the list of available vehicles?

If some animations aren't in any scripts does that mean R* simply left out a bunch of awesome animations? (Awesome for a police mod)

I tried to log into the website this morning and the site was down, stating something along the lines of maintenance. I mean, that's happened plenty of times before, so it means nothing, right?  I don't know why, but they way it was worded made it seem like the site was taken down to upload LSPDFR's first release in my crazy mind, and I about had a coronary from excitement. I figured they timed the release to coincide with Memorial Day weekend, lol. Damn, it's getting so hard to wait. So excited for this mod, thank you guys!

Can't wait for it to be released, it's looking more and more fantastic each and every informational post you guys give us. Thank you tons, and please don't mistake my excitement for impatience, as it probably seems that way. I'm willing to wait as long as it takes, I just got my hopes up today for some strange reason, lol.

​That's very likely the scenario. It makes lots of sense, and really, if you consider it, June is not all that far away. I had forgotten about that second follow-up video as well. Yikes. See, folks, this is what happens when I run out of coffee. I'm off to the store.
