Outdated Script Hook V
Sadly I think we have no choice but to wait for a Script Hook update, as I'm having the same problem after a relatively fresh install and the proper updated version of Ragehook. I reinstalled LSPDFR and a ton of script mods for the first time in a long time Yesterday before Rockstar dropped their update. Ragehook's first time start up instructions gave me the option to backup my game version and I pressed no because I was excited to play. Woke up this morning, booted the PC and steam with the intention of backing up my game version and then playing...only to see to my horror that GTA V began auto updating...(Another step I had missed was switching GTA V to ask for updates!!! >.< ) So yeah, painful lessons learned here, left with no choice but to hope Script Hook V updates to the current game patch. No idea on how long that will take. I was shocked at how fast Ragehook was updated, so here's hoping the wait won't be long...

Unarmed Arrests
As always, yet another fantastic modification that is absolutely necessary to get the full enjoyment and experience from LSPDFR. I learned from the recent update that broke RPH 0.28 how much I couldn't enjoy the game without Traffic Policer and Arrest Manager. Now we have Unarmed Arrests to add to that list. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

San Andreas State Police Uniform Pack V2.6
These uniforms look awesome with tons of detail. The patches are fantastic! Thank you so much for these I ended up using them for my favorite video I've yet made. I should mention that I did replace the standard duty belt with this one from legionarious http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/9061-duty-belt-lapd-style-texture/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhqNDdlieBg

Police Precinct Business Sim...What?
This is the first time I've ever heard of this game, and I'm sad I almost missed out on it. Thanks for the information. I found a link and I think I'll be adding that game to my library when and if it gets released. I'll more than likely back them as well, when I can afford it. Thanks again for the heads up about this game...

Police Precinct Business Sim...What?
Lundy, I'm sorry I wasn't more clear about NOT intending for them to develop anything like this. I was going to make a ruleset myself, and share with others if anyone at all was interested. It would purely be a pencil and paper deal, to be managed by the player themselves completely outside of the LSPDFR modifcation. I was going to attempt to do the research required myself with help from others if anyone wanted to help, but only if it generated a sizeable amount of interest from the community...otherwise I won't bother with sinking that kind of time. But again, not a suggestion for devs or mod developers or anything, just discussing an idea for a paper and pencil ruleset I had.

Hello, everyone! I've never posted about my channel before in the media forums here. I'm Zomb Lee over on YouTube, in case anyone was wondering. I figured I'd share my new LSPDFR Let's Play series. It's not as filled out as my LCPDFR series is, but it's definitely on its way to taking off! You can check it out here if interested: LSPDFR Night Watch Playlist If you're feeling a bit nostalgic or you'd like to see how the amazing G-17 crew developed an unprecedented legacy of police simulation, my LCPDFR series is also available from my channel's main page which can be found here: Zomb Lee: Let's Fail Some Games My channel isn't just limited to policing videos, and there you can find me failing my way through all sorts of unique PC gaming gems. Those among you who are feeling particularly kind and generous can of course find a link there to support the channel through donations (Any amount, big or small, is extremely appreciated!) and a button to subscribe if you'd like to receive notifications when I have new content published. I'll also post here with random short sans-commentary LSPDFR videos and the like. Thanks everyone in advance for taking the time to watch.- TooHigh.jpg

- Police Precinct Business Sim...What?
Hey guys. So among my many gaming genres of choice, there's one in particular that has been hard to satisfy. Business simulation. I'm not sure why. There's all sorts of amazing games where a business simulation is already within the game, and of course, many tycoon games, some of which are actually good. For me personally, I really enjoy the business sims where you can just dive in and really be an active part in earning for your business, and where your actions directly affect your bottom line and your resources and abilities in game. There's even fewer of these sorts of games. And most of them always involve a simulation element (of which I'm NOT complaining!) Euro Truck Simulator 2 and Farming Simulator 2015 are the shining examples here. In ETS 2 You own a trucking company in game. You ultimately end up hiring drivers to work for you, but the entire core of the game is built around you and your actions. While the CEO and ultimate decision maker, you are still also down on the front lines with the rest of your workers. I don't know why it's so satisfying, but it is. Other than this, I don't know of many games that allow this. I'm sure there's countless ones. But for some reason, I've been adding in my own business element to almost every game I play. SpinTires, for example, is a simulation of the off-road logging conditions of Northern Asia/Siberia. Heavy transport trucks struggle to bring lumber to processing mills. While the setting is there, ultimately this game contains no business simulation element, but there is a rule system to add a sort of "economy" mode, simulating the player being the owner of a transport business in this hostile environment. It's like pencil and paper tabletop mixed with PC gaming and it satisfies the business sim elements I crave. Lately I've been considering doing the same thing to LSPDFR, and adding a rule set that will tack on a business simulation aspect, so to speak. I was thinking of a sort of system wherein the player would be in charge of a police precinct in a sort of meta-game that will affect the player's resources in-game while using the LSPDFR mod. Unfortunately, this would all be pencil and paper, and rely a lot on a sort of RP/Honor System. But, if you're wondering why in the hell a person would think a police department is a business, we need to remember that historically, police departments developed from privatized groups hired by townships to provide security. Basically, mercenary soldiers were paid a salary by villagers to protect their settlements. Obviously in today's modern era, police departments are funded by and considered to be, the same entity as the municipality they protect, but let's just say Los Santos, and San Andreas as a whole is the sort of messed up place I can imagine hiring out a privatized police force. You are in charge of a precinct in said police force. As the player you get a starting budget of some sort, likely in the millions of dollars. Your first priority to would picking out which police station you'd like to take over and purchase it. (I'd like to make bigger stations cost more money, but I don't know how they'd benefit the player. Perhaps more staff/vehicle capacity? Stations in high-risk violent crime areas like the projects containing Grove Street could cost less because they come with nearly a 100% guarantee that someone will be shot) Once the player has purchased their station, they'd have to face the same day to day challenges real police departments face, including all the expenses. +Facility Upkeep/Rent +Staff Training, Salary, and Medical Fees +Vehicle Fleet Expenses (New Purchases/maintenance) +Property Damage Fees +Legal Fees And revenue could be generated just as real life departments generate theirs. +Citations +Vehicle Impounds/Seizures +Drug Money Intercepts/Seizures +Seized Property Auctions +Government Grants* *Perhaps make a system where the player must meet a certain arrest criteria, citation or impound quota, anything to prove the player's precinct performance is worth the investment. The game would be as simple as playing the LSPDFR mod as it is now, except that the player would have to be sure to write down and log key information and follow an honor system. How the business aspect would integrate into the game would largely depend on the events within the player's GTA V and LSPDFR. Here's an example. I buy a police station in, say, Vinewood. Perhaps it's a moderately expensive police station because Vinewood is relatively less risky to police. Rent is higher than the stations over in the projects where it's assured my men will sustain casualties. I have enough money left to hire a patrol force of let's just throw any number out, say 20 officers. (We can find more accurate real life numbers thanks to google, including cost estimations. There could be some requirements in place like a certain amount of ranks, IE we MUST have at least 1 Chief, X number of Sergeants, ect, each costing a certain amount of money to "train" [their equipment and guns ect is assumed to be included here]. Special units like K9's cost more, ect) I have enough money to buy 20 police vehicles, but not enough to afford a helicopter. Because of this, while in game, I cannot call for helicopter backup. If one is in the area, it's assumed to be from another precinct. I decide to control Patrol Officer # 1. During his patrol he writes a parking ticket, earning the precinct +$50 (According to Google, LA's average parking ticket costs $50) He arrests a drunk driver. The man was cooperative so he does not cause damage, nor does he rack up many charges, netting a relatively low bail +$???? earned (Google again can help us find average numbers. The more charges you can add to an arrestee, the higher their bail, and consequently, their earnings for the precinct. Arresting high risk people is very profitable) Later Officer #1 gets into a pursuit. His car is damaged, but he arrests the suspect. +$??? for suspect bail, +$??? for vehicle seizure. -$ for police car damage Unfortunately, later, Officer #1 gets into a shootout and is killed. -$ for health insurance fees and payouts to family, ect. We now only have 19 officers, and if we want more we must pay to have another patrolman trained. This is just a rough draft to see if anyone else would be interested in something like this. Hiring a staff of officers would serve no purpose that I could think of, save adding to the challenge of having to fund them. Perhaps the amount of policemen the player has hired at his precinct could directly affect his earnings as well as expenses. Perhaps when the player ends their patrol and tallies their earnings, it's multiplied by the number of active officers they have. There's a lot of bugs and ifs and maybes to work out. Perhaps things that would require lots of chance, say for example, whether or not a car you searched that contained drugs would also have tons of drug money in it. Something like a dice roller with some modifiers in place could solve the issue of random chance, just like in any tabletop rpg. There's a lot of possibilities and solutions to most roadblocks. Of course, not ever faucet of police procedure could be accounted for, nor should it, I would guess, if you'd want any sort of enjoyment out of it. Obviously lots of things would have to be simplified and not subjected to the odd circumstances and exceptions of real life. What do you guys think?- Taxi Cab Company Mod
Well seeing as how it's been over 24 hours and no one has replied, I can assume that most people here are not interested in this concept. However, if there are a few individuals who are looking for something similiar, try doing a google search for a mod called Jobs V. It adds a lot of immersion and allows you to take random jobs and earn money. They just recently added jobs as a pilot, they have college, fire fighter jobs, and taxi license instruction course but sadly, no ability to work as a cab driver once you acquire the license. However, the mod authors states that taxi driver will be added to the list of professions, including a save feature. So this mod seems to cover some of the things I was hoping for, short of the business aspects.- Taxi Cab Company Mod
Ok, so I know this sounds crazy stupid but I'm a big fan of simulation games, especially sims like ETS 2 and the like, mainly because they allow you to run a business while actively participating in the actual operation of your subject of interest. My question is, how come with mods like Train Simulation and some of the other miscellaneous script mods, there's been no attention given to taxi cab companies. There's also major room for stuff like Sim Copter esque mods where you can fly planes or helicopters and run a business moving people or cargo around. Anyways, back to the taxi business mod...basically there's already somewhat detailed cab missions in vanilla GTA V including radio useage, but I'd like to see more depth added along with the ability to purchase my own depot and become a competeing company. Players would have to buy cabs, hire drivers, pay insurance, maintenance, fuel, rental, and employee salaries, while simultaneously trying to earn fares on a shift timer. Maybe players could adjust the length of their in-game shifts/days through an ini-file. I think it'd be a unique mod to see that could be surprisingly fun, especially if the business aspect could be added. Little details like having to do walk arounds on your cab before you start your shift, to check for maintenance issues, keeping a clean cab to attract more fares, break downs, your other drivers having issues, fare ditchers and robberies could all impact your bottom line. I'd like to see a form of a tracker that detects how you are driving. Run red lights and you have to pay for a ticket. With exceptional mods like Police Radio, people could get really detailed and add a taxi cab fare meter UI that the player can choose to operate if they desire (or leave it up to the computer to keep track of, again, perhaps in an INI file.) Do you take the risk of being mugged on the night shift so your newer less experienced driver can be on the safer day shift? There's all sorts of possibilities with GTA V's more stable platform and the unique abilities of Ragehook, that I sadly do not understand, nor can dedicate the time to learn. But, the major question is, am I alone in my seemingly strange interest in driving cabs in Los Santos?- Looking For Roleplay Groups for LSPDFR
Hey guys. So lately I've really been getting into LSPDFR and I have searched for some communities that use LSPDFR and focus on the law enforcement agencies of GTA V. I know that sadly, LSPDFR is unable to be played online in multiplayer like LCPDFR was, but I'm still holding out hope that there's some serious roleplay style groups despite this limitation. Most of my google searches have returned results for groups that are using a console version of GTA V, and surprisingly I found little results of active communities using the PC version. I am relatively new to roleplaying and have little knowledge of real life police work in general as unfortunately, I am not an officer in real life, but I enjoy writing and I am able to write detailed duty reports. If there are any groups that would be willing to work with me or that are seeking members, please feel free to PM. Thanks in advance, everyone.- RAGE Plugin Hook Help
Glad to know. I've been working on this issue for about 3 days now. One moment my LSPDFR and GTA V were running without any issues. Then one day I went to play and now I haven't been able to get RageHook to load the game like it used to. I just get an infinite loading screen. The suggested fix of start GTA V without Ragehook, ALT-TAB and run RageHook works to get LSPDFR and my mods loaded, but after about 10 minutes on patrol the LSPDFR plugin will crash. I have not changed anything with my LSPDFR/GTA V install. We're not allowed to ask for support with RageHook which is clearly the problem, instead we're directed to their forums which are an utter joke, mostly down 90% of the time. I even resorted to using the IIRC chat or whatever function, which was equally as futile, as it was bunches of other people screaming for help and ignoring each other. I offered up some fixes for people having the F4 Sans Console issue, and didn't get any useful help in return, gave up after 8 hours of working on the problem at that point. I've been working on this problem since then off and on in my spare time.- LSPDFR Chome Block
I'm not sure why this is happening, but I know a work around. Go to your Chrome's Settings sidebar and click on downloads. At the very top of your downloads list you'll see the blocked LSPDFR file. Click on the text underneath it that says recover malicious file. A warning box will pop up saying you should never do this unless you really trust the file. Just click on Hurt Me Plenty (Doom reference?) and the file will finish downloading. Then install 0.2b as you normally would. I've had to do this for several files here and I'm happy to report all my virus scans have turned up clean. Hope this helps.- Cop Holster
I had no idea this was even possible, but it's something I've wanted since LCPDFR! Holy crap man, great job! Downloaded and rated 5 before I even installed. This is fantastic. Thank you!- 560 comments
