Yeah i believe they have changed it the LSHP, While messing around in game i find myself driving past police stations and i'll see the police bikes parked alongside police cars. Not sure why as it would've been better as SAHP. 

I've also noticed that the Police Buffalo has alo had a new paintjob, switching from the crappy Police interceptor style paintjob with the LSPD badge on the hood, to the Vapid Stanier style paintjob.. i have also noticed police cars spawning in traffic and sometimes parked up on the side of the road with officers at a building nearby talking and taking notes. all of which was never in the PS3 version so by the looks of things Rockstar has changed a whole lot of things for the LSPD/SAPD

It has always said "Los Santos Highway Patrol" on the npc's patches, on every console.

What is troubling you exactly? For example the NYPD has a highway division, I don't see what is so wrong about having Los Santos Highway Patrol.

That sucks, but it's an easy retexture job when OpenIV releases their update for GTA V PC.

​I'm aware of that, but my point is it shouldn't be such a big deal for some. At the very end it's still a fictional universe and we have to consider it as part of the lore.

I agree with Hystery on this one. Cmon, you really want to see the SAHP, modelled after the CHP, a large organization with 12 thousand employees, cars, helis, SWAT team, represented only by some bikers?) If they are a LSSD division it seems OK for me. Who said everything has to be 100% as IRL. 

However we got another logic lapse here: how come LS highway units patrol the counties?

(and how come LS county Sheriff patrols Blaine county... But this is another story)

​Well, they don't patrol the entire county, just the part of the interstate highways that run through them. Yeah, and LASD patrolling Blaine County is strange. It's almost like Blaine County doesn't even exist in the game.

OR MAYBE YOU ARE ALL WRONG AND THEIR ARE TWO HIGHWAY PATROL FORCES - THE LOS SANTOS AND SAN ANDREAS, AND MICHAEL/TREVOR HAD SAHP'S UNIFORM ON, REPRESENTING SAHP, WHILE THE NORMAL ONES HAD LSHP's UNIFORM ON, REPRESENTING THE LSHP. Ever think of that? Your mind just got blown. You're welcome.

*facepalms* One more thing to fix when modding gets well underway.

​That's obiously not the PC version so that's why it says "SAHP" on M and T's uniforms. 

So there is no regional changes whatsoever.
