Mmh..... I don't understand the autosave! I enabled it in the settings. But when i end the game and launch it again, it doesn't took me to the place where i was before! Seems not to work for me. Did i anything wrong?

 

It only resets your game when it crashed unexpectedly, not when you quit. Try using the command RestoreSession after starting the game.

It would be great if the chances all worked for the best, and the game is more stable but several partner functions aren't for the best. I can't get my partner to arrest peds. But the "follow in car" feature causes some unwanted actions, like when a driver flees, he runs after him/her and it takes ages to get him back in the car with me and regroup by pressing "R" doesn't work as well as calling backup by pressing Ctrl+B. And I find the fact that auto save also means auto load annoying, mainly because I prefer playing in freemode, be it by myself. But hats, glasses partner and car aren't saved so it means you can't pick up were you left. And restarting after you quit duty but closed the game inside the police station is the weirdest of all; You're on duty (again) inside the building but the interior doesn't load completely. I don't want to sound negative but until now I prefer 1.0c.

Is there a way to disable or delete the crash autosave itself? I accidentally ran into a Mission Marker while in a pursuit... CTD with LCPDFR Autosave seems to stay in a perpetual loop at the loading screen since it saved the surroundings at a bad moment [being in a mission execute marker]

 

Delete savegame.fr and (if it exists, although I've never seen it in my game) oldsession.fr from the directory.

Can anyone tell me How to wave a vehicle through during a roadblock process ? I use CRTL + B and it starts the road block but once cars pull up have no clue how to work things from there , my QAM doesn't bring up any "wave vehicle through" or anything. So any advice would be great REST IS THUMBS UP!!

CTRL+B? Is it even a part from LCPDFR?

I've never used this feature, but I believe you waive cars through by going to the QAM, then while holding the QAM key press TAB to cycle through the various sub-menus.  

 

BTW: The only issue I have with the sub-menu is my mouse scroll doesn't scroll through the menu, I have to slew the view up/down to hit the proper action tab.  Other than that, works without issue.

maybe when it's going to be a new update to lcpdfr 1.0 they will add new callouts like the API mods of lcpdfr 1.0 in those mods the callouts are insane but a lot of crashing and third party issues with the callouts+ 

so I suggest lcpdfr to add more interesting callouts like: murder, traffic collision, illegal street race , and some other more

 

 

btw: for me lcpdfr 1.0d is the same boring callouts, and it's crashing when i use callouts+

That's why there are other call-out scrupts, like you mentioned callouts+, vpCallouts, WoutersCallouts, The Wasteland callouts, Braveheart callouts, ect.  

 

Although it would be more stable, I presume, if these call-outs were incorporated into the LCPDFR script, instead of using plug-in or add-on scripts.  Not sure as I'm no programmer though.

Our callouts are in most cases more complex than the built-in ones, that's why: 1) there's higher possibility to make a mistake while coding -> a bug occures (community should help in developing by reporting crashes), 2) creating more peds, cars, objects bumps the risk of a memory allocation failure. Using a code as an external *.dll or included to the LCPDFR library shouldn't make a difference.

Just started playing LCPDFR a few days ago, so far I love the mod it'll no doubt increase the replay value of GTA 4 by a long while.

I'm glad to see that there's still new updates for LCPDFR, and the overall experience has been incredibly stable in "vanilla" LCPDFR I can play for hours on end with little to no bugs/crashes. It's when i start trying other plugins/mods that I start experiencing frequent script/client crashes. Which isn't PDFR's fault in the least bit.

 

The only problem I have with the actual LCPDFR mod right now has been the taser, it was a pain as a new player to get it actually working. I tried installing using the auto-installer a couple times, moved to a manual install. It took me a few days but i finally stumbled across a thread describing how to "force" GTA 4 to recognize the taser by editing a couple of files. Now that it's actually working in game, i still find it difficult to use as it constantly seems to despawn when entering vehicles and doesn't always come out the first time you push the T button.

All in all it's a small issue, and really more of an inconvenience than anything else.

 

Good work on 1.0d, I look forward to any future releases. :)

It's only set to be controlled by the mouse movement on the y-axis rather than via the scroll wheel, mouse movement is locked to the QAM while open AFAIK.
Although having it use the scroll wheel would be nice.

It should be displayed in the first option menu provided (yellow one) as the second option is Partner interaction and the third is speech.

You have to aim at the vehicle in the checkpoint using the ALT key (remember that little red/white square that pops up?)

 

So, to clarify: Hold ALT and aim the white square at the vehicle in the checkpoint (it should go red when over the car), Open the QAM with CapsLock (while still ALT aiming at the car) and then use the mouse to select the option to wave the vehicle through.

Some of the QAM options are conditional, in other words they only display if you're doing something to cause them to display, like aiming at a ped or a vehicle with ALT.

It wouldn't make any difference if they made them or if the API plugins did. All callouts done by the API plugins like Callouts+, WoutersCallouts and TheWasteland get managed by the LCPDFR engine in the exact same way that the internal callouts are managed.

The crashing issues are not because it's an API callout but because of a bug or problem with the callout's code itself (this could happen with LCPDFR callouts in the same way). This is something you should report to the respective developers because we can't fix it if we don't know it's broken. 

 

The dev's made an API for a reason, so people like myself could make new callouts and features that integrate with LCPDFR itself.

Is there any way of disabling the silly flashlights? They're really annoying because all my weapons don't have flashlights, nor do I want them to...

Only the partners should be using the flashlight as it was an experimental feature as far as I am aware, so to turn it off simply...don't use a partner. I know that sucks but at least it's a temporary solution.

My overall impression of the new version is very good but there are certain glitches around and some of them are described in my thread in the support section.

I have just downloaded the very latest release and tried it.

I do not know for sure if the things below are bugs or something but they look like bugs to me.

I have seen at least once a cop performing gunpoint arrest using a vanilla animation without handcuffs instead of a proper one. My cop was assaulted by a ped and a fellow cop on the street helped me. I did not yet see other cases where cops would arrest someone on their own so that makes me say at least once.

My partners especially when there are more than one of them often get really confused about what kind of weapon to use. They do try to draw the same weapon as the player cop as usual but that does not always work for some reason. For example if the latest weapon used by the player cop was a baton the partner cop will just keep blindly using the baton instead of the handgun. Sometimes he even behaves like if he is holding a gun but in fact he is not. Also they seem to somehow decide themselves which thing to use sometimes but again will keep using the chosen thing in the next situation even if it does not fit for it. That is again just an example of such a situation as they can be quite different each time.

The taser laser aim is quite seriously off target.

And also the flashing headlights on the emergency cars stop working randomly as they wish.

And finally not really an issue but it does not look good for me in its current state.

How to actually make the cops less aggressive to stop them aiming a cocked firearm at everybody for no reason?

Actually in the previous version it was really the other way round and they did not react aggressively until somebody got killed or there was a pursuit for me at least.

But maybe again that is related to the weapon selection logic.

Oh, your partners actually help you? Let me tell you a story: I stopped a vehicle, went to the driver site window with my partner (who had his shotgun ready), the driver starts shooting at me with a Uzi and my partner.. well... he put his gun away, looked at the driver at first, then he turned around to my dead body, (stared at it too) and did basically nothing (happened to me a lot of times btw.) Because I play in hardcore mode, I can't shoot back while the phucktard is shooting at me. The end. :p Another time he ran right into the drug deal. Guess what happened. ^^ :D
