So I was on Facebook around 8:30ish on July 2nd, and saw that Rockstar Games was being sued by Lindsey Lohan. I clicked on the article to understand what was going on and supposedly, Rockstar created a character in the video game, Grand Theft Auto V, that has the same features has Lindsey Lohan. There are a few articles out there that are already talking about this.

American television personality Karen Gravano of the reality television programme Mob Wives filed suit against Rockstar Games in February 2014 in allegation that a character in the game is based on her likeness and story and was depicted without her consent.Rockstar filed to dismiss Gravano's lawsuit in April, and stated that the allegations are foreclosed by the First Amendment

 Like it's stated in my Quote, Karen Gravano did the same thing.. I think with the Lindsay Lohan crap and other lawsuits like this, Rockstar Games will most likely win because of the First Amendment.

But wasn't this old news? I heard about this just after the release of GTA:V, I thought it might've been settled (decided) by now.

Seriously? She is sueing Rockstar on the grounds that they created another character in game artwork (which has been around for a year now) who was a white woman with blonde hair? Under that logic, I should sue Rockstar under the basis that they created a character of me without consent because they have brown hair. I don't understand the thinking behind some people, I mean, it looks nothing like her!

She just wants more money so she can buy some more alcohol and cocaine.

This is pretty old news if I recall correctly. I highly doubt she will have much luck in achieving anything.

Rockstar will win. You can't really demand money for a character you believe to be based on yourself with no basis more reliable then your own. Not to mention the countless number of blondes with good bikini bodies which it may of been.

From my understanding they based the main story line characters off of real people, it's possible they did the same for that bikini girl, just my opinion though.

If I recall it is not because of the bikini girl but one of the random event characters named Lacey Jonas, whom you have to help escape from a group of paparrazis from an alley way.

Bad assumption - litigation is very, very time-consuming. Also, apparently, the old news was that she *planned* to sue; the new news is that she filed a lawsuit. It'll probably end up with Lohan dropping the suit, or with a settlement - going to trial is extremely expensive for all involved, and is typically a last resort.

That looks more like Kate Upton than Lindsey Lohan at least to me.

This is absolutely ridiculous- the ingame character of Lacey Jonas, promo artwork etc. all show what could be any number of Hollywood celebrities, whether real or made-up.The only real reason Lohan wants the money is so that she can have something to snort for the next year or so.

First Daz Dilinger wanted all copies of GTA 5 removed from the shelves due to copyright infringement as they used one of his songs without his permission now lohan, R* hasn't had any luck with this game thus far lol
