    LSPD:FR here we come :O

  • Apparently the footage was captured on a PS4. One can only imagine how it's going to look on highest settings on the PC. I need to build my new computer.....now. My 68 Mustang can wait.

  • I think it's best if Rockstar adopts the G17 Media Release Date Policy TM ; "Done when it's done!"

Today,

Rockstar has confirmed that GTA V will be released for PC as digital download on the 14th of April this year. This is the second delay rockstar has done for the PC version of V.

In other news in relation to GTA V Online or rather GTA Online, is that HEISTS will be released on March 10th.

My Opinion?:

Simple. I'll take the delay with a smile. A delay only means they are putting more time into getting the game to work better than IV. Maybe they'll include mod support? It only tells me something. Rockstar is definitely putting a lot of man hours to get V on the PC to be running perfect unlike IV. What's your thoughts on this?

I'll just keep twiddling my thumbs. Rockstar better optimize this game with 60 FPS  on my Intel HD4000 ;) All in all seriousness, I'll take the wait if it means a more stable game on release instead of multiple 5~GB patches to download all the time.

Feel free to PM me for help! Also please hit the like button if anything I said helped or made ya laugh. Specialty is computer hardware and assembling so feel free to ask anything if you need help :)

Nope. Rockstar is kicking us in the face by constantly delaying the fucking game whenever it comes near to the "set release date"

Ah. I belivied you was trying to tell us what the PC community wanted to do with rockstar. Roundhouse-kick em' like Chuck Norris!

Honestly, don't get so mad.  This means it probably isn't coming out during the middle of busy school/exam periods for a lot of people now (including me).

I have to replan my vacation plans :(

But yeah, the news are sad, but hopefully we'll get a better product in the end.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

How can I not be mad? The game I've been waiting nearly two years for is delayed once again.

As I said in the other thread, I'd much rather them release the game when they said they would (January 27th), patch out any issues later and stop fucking us around.

No thanks, I'd rather wait and receive a finished product. However, I will agree that R*'s community management teams/dev teams need to work a little harder at making sure these release dates are solid.

Whatever is causing these delay, at the latter stages of development, has to be more substantial than bug fixing or "polishing", they're buying more time to fix fundamental flaws within the PC version (it has to be PC related as GTA V was released more than a year ago on consoles) or they are concerned about their network infrastructure when it's released. I'm certain that Rockstar wouldn't want a PR fiasco due to their always-online DRM not working (which it won't).

Regardless. Rockstar has messed up big time, even if V launches without problems on PC. Their PR work has been unacceptable from the start, misleading customers about future versions prior to the game's initial release in '13, announcing the "good" versions for next-gen consoles (double-dip distribution) and announcing the "best" version for PC (triple-transaction tricks, wanting people to buy the game three times), then further delaying the PC version several times without giving any explanation as to why.

Consumer oriented business model it is not.
