Multiple pullovers & New callout idea

Alright so I'm somewhat new here in the community, and I don't know if this was tossed around before but how about the choice to do a  multiple pullover. For example if you got a call to go check out a drag race and you go there and see people racing like just 2 cars and you could pull both of them over instead of just one.

 

Also my idea for a callout was Drag racing I think that would be pretty darn cool.

 

Feedback would be appreciated

Yeah, a race would be nice to stop, but you'd have to teach NPC how to race first, or a minute after start they all will park into a bus or something. 

 

What, like how they had to completely teach the AI how to drive cars? ;)

You would probably just call some sort of event similar to the racing events you can get in GTA IV through Brucie. Yeah sure the dev's had to improve the AI of the pursuits to ensure they wouldn't roll their cars the second they spawned. But they didn't make the AI drive cars from scratch did they, that was a GTA feature :P

 

Drag races I think would kind of suck, it takes a few seconds to get from North Algonquin to South Algonquin, a drag race down Star junction would be over within a second or 2 and would have been and gone before you even got there. But street races in general a good idea, I like it :D

Even if the dev's don't implement this they could at least add a new instance of a pursuit so instead of "stolen vehicle" it would read "street racers evading police" then have 2 vehicles spawn heading in random directions. Maybe someone with the API could do that too.

 

Perhaps we could be called in to attend car meets like this

Not illegal meeting like that, but you could have to go and investigate the area make sure things are ok and then leave. (like stay in the area for 2 minutes to complete the callout)

 

I like the OP ideas, although multiple pullover's would not happen so much I don't think, I mean if you're street racing you're violating law and therefore why would you pullover lol?

I like this idea, multiple pull-overs could be a good tool, especially when taking into consideration how LC drivers are. I swear, every time I pull someone over, there's someone else right beside me who deserves that just as much... Good idea OP!

The multiple traffic stop would be nice, You could be at a traffic stop, find a car worthy of pulling over and they'll be signaled and then they'll pull over so they're ready to deal with after you have dealt with your first offender.

 

It'll come in handy when you see an unroadworthy vehicle or someone who is driving dangerously near your traffic stop.

The option to call backup to deal with multiple stops would be a great addition, as well.

On topic: WONDERFUL idea with the multiple pullovers. There is always that person that smashes into the back of your cruiser while pulling another person over!

Thanks for all the amazing feedback guys I would love to see this be put into affect I would love to be at a traffic stop and if another car is intruding you can you use a hand signal to pull it over when you're just standing there. Also with the drag racing I can see what you mean by "teaching them how to drive" lol, I think it would be pretty cool though to pull up to a street race and investigate.

As a little suggestion, just in case you weren't aware. Bravehearts breathalyser script allows you to stop traffic with a hand signal, but it doesn't initiate an LCPDFR traffic stop on that car it just forces it to stop.

Alternatively you can use VDH Police Helper to spawn a barrier behind your cruiser and cars will stop behind it.

 

Just a temporary solution :)

 

 

ALSO I started messing with the API, I was able to spawn in two cars as a pursuit and have them head in the same direction to start off (usually until they hit the next junction along their path) before they go off in different ways. Which is exactly the way people would flee a street race.

Sadly the pursuit is only one handled instance so the other car gets away scott free. While the AI and you chase the other one. (I can try to work around this but it is also kind of cool)

Just thought I would share that :)

 

EDIT: A second attempt at the street race callout kept both suspects as individual pursuits. See this screenshot :D

 

The best part is they spawned on the highway, so actually looked like they were racing :D

And maybe sometimes there would be people fighting on random occasions at the meeting or people with warrants and such.

Eluding police is a lot more serious than street racing (it's generally a felony, and will likely result in automatic license revocation). Just because someone breaks the law in one way, doesn't mean they have no respect for the law and will break it in any way needed.

How about as someone mentioned, calling in the AI to deal with a traffic stop while you do one as well. Better yet, calling in an AI officer for assistance on the T-Stop. I pulled over a stolen vehicle with two people inside and I called Noose Backup (I was playing state patrol in a fbi vehicle) to help. They arrived and all got out and took positions. However it would be cool to have them show up and act like how your partner would. By aiming at the car or person your dealing with.
