Lets see... Futurama is cancelled, Southland is cancelled.... whats next, The Walking dead cancelled too?? GTAV being pushed back another 4-5 months??? I really hope another network pics up the show, dust it off and makes a new season with unexpected results. Just a couple of weeks ago I sat down and watched every season beginning to end and was looking forward to the next one. Now I guess that might not even happen. I know shows screw up on a season but end up being epic on the next season. I've seen it happen before with shows, movies, games and such.

We will never know what was in store for Sammy and Ben, we will never know if Cooper survived. This makes me incredibly sad, because I enjoyed this show alot.

It's just sad how all the good tv shows are going and their making this new bullshit like all the stuff on TLC and stuff like the Jersey shore. We can still talk about how much we loved it and talk about our favorite scenes of the show. We can't see new episodes but we can always talk to each other about it

With things like TLC: Discovery Communications runs a lot of shows. Their highest-rated show, by far, is Deadliest Catch - not, say, Mythbusters or anything. TLC pulls in massive ratings. Science shows can require an executive producer to put his career on the line, calling out every favor anyone ever owed him, to get put into production. Since Discovery is publicly traded, they are legally required to seek to maximize shareholder profit. So, TLC wins, science loses.

Jesus Christ. Sure as hell didn't expect this when TNT picked the show up.

 

So if anyone could educate me, where did Ben and Sammy go corrupt and how? Those seasons haven't been aired yet in here.

I doubt SouthLAnd will get picked up by another network (it was picked up from CBN in 2009). 

 

Although I'm annoyed and upset it's not that bad. New shows come out all the time and I believe it won't be too long till we find a good alternative to SouthLAnd. There's a show similar to SouthLAnd called, 'Bostons Finest' or something and other shows such as, 'Blue Bloods' and an LAPD one (bit more of a drama) called, 'Lincoln Heights'. So if you search you find other good shows similar to your favourite.

Sammy continued to have problems with his ex-wife Tammy and one day he got into a confrontation with her and supposedly "beat her" (as quoted from Ben). Tammy's new boyfriend taped the incident and Sammy grabbed his camera and drove off with Ben. A few days later IA got a report from Tammy regarding the "beating" so they pulled in Sammy and Ben for questioning. Sammy lied to IA saying he did not beat Tammy, and when he was asked by IA to tell them where the camera was, he lied saying he dropped it before driving off with Ben. 

 

Ben had Sammy's back and vouched for Sammy's story. A few days later Sammy starts to feel guilty about it and starts talking about how he wants to come clean. Ben becomes outraged because he will now be in trouble for lying to IA. Ben secretly hires his girlfriend's brother (a gangster) to break into Sammy's house and steal the video camera to give to Ben. (This was basically the first time we see Ben go largely corrupt.) The gangster frames the home invasion to be by a gang called KBD.

 

So now Sammy thinks KBD broke into his home. A few days later Sammy gets a lead that a shitty Honda Civic was the car that took off from the home invasion. He and Ben go looking for the car. Ben confronts his girlfriend's brother and tells him to leave town "or else." At night Ben and Sammy meet up. Sammy says that he found the Civic, and Ben starts getting nervous. Sammy says he ran the plates and it came back as Ben's girlfriend's brother...and then that's where shit hits the fan...Ben spills the beans and tells Sammy he wasn't going to lose his career because Sammy wanted to come clean. Ben also says he's saved Sammy's life numerous times. Sammy replies with "That's right...you saved my ass because that's your job. Do you want a medal for that? And you saved my life, after you put my life in danger. After putting my son's life in danger! Why don't I call up Chief Beck and tell him about his little poster boy." Ben replies with something along the lines of "Fuck you" and from there they get into a fistfight. They break up after about a minute and Sammy screams "We were partners! We used to be partners!" and he leaves. Ben lays on the floor and buries his head in his hands.

 

So yeah....that's how it played out....sorry for the length...

You'll have to excuse me, I've only seen Southland a few select times. I was actually hoping on catching up on all the seasons, does this leave the show on a cliffhanger? Or just no new season?

 

Sad to see such a good show gone, TV died a long time ago for me...

Stupid suits wanting more money, if they kept putting out QUALITY TV shows then they'd get their money in the long run..

 

But people keep in mind, this is the SECOND time SouthLAnd was canceled! It was on either NBC or CBS before TNT, so just keep hoping someone keeps it going

I bet it was cancelled because people realised the crown vics didn't use the Fed Sig Arjent lightbar with steady burns.

 

On a serious note, it's really sad they cancelled it. What cop drama am I gonna watch now?

This is bullshit i have watched every episode and even got my wife into the show and the cliff hanger they left last season was so uncalled for if they knew that cancel the season! fml now there are really no good show on tv.
