Break got a reaction from Kompetenzz in How many different lightbars uses your local PD?
Actually we have a separate Police for every state, plus Bundespolizei (Federal Police), Bundeskriminalamt (FBI) and Bundestagspolizei (Parliament Police). The police of the states furthermore is broken down into other smaller entities, such as the Wasserschutzpolizei (Waterpolice), Verkehrspolizei (Traffic Police), Kriminalpolizei (Crime Investigation Police), Bereitschaftspolizei (Riot Police), Schutzpolizei (your regular everyday patrol) and in some states the Autobahnpolizei (Highway Patrol).
And we don't only use two lightbars, we use several:
Hella RTK-6 (or RTK-4/5 for older models) (with rotors, or as "SL" with strobes or as "LED" with LEDs)

Hella RTK-7 (my personal favourite) (with different LED and Strobe configurations in duty)

    Pintsch-Bamag Zirkon (Popular in Baden-Württemberg - looks like a cheap RTK-7)

    or the older Pintsch-Bamag TOPas

and finally the less popular (but not in any way worse) Hänsch DBS 2000

and the Hänsch DBS 4000 (which is probably the most advanced and customisable lightbar available, but also expensive as hell)

Now I feel like I've done the german police justice. Still I might have forgotten some lightbars :P

    Use On Duty Loadout:

    - It works automatically when you go on duty
    - It allows customization
    - It's an LSPDFR plugin

To be fair, most public transports here are working on hybrid engines already, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to have all public transports using inner combustion engines to be fully electric in the future decades. Now for the replacement of every car, that's another problem. Especially if we take into consideration how expensive electric cars are, and how expensive electricity is to begin with. It'd be easily accessible for rich and high middle-classes, but hard to reach for people with a more limited budget.

Why, for dog sake, why would you bring immigration into this problematic, why does immigration always have to make its way in every conversation, it's getting ridiculous now.

Break reacted to master1114 in How to motivate
I have been a part of the LCPDFR and LSPDFR community for quite some time now. I always wanted to "give the community something back" instead of only using the plugins and mods that others create. Many people invest a lot of time into their stuff and thousends of people can improve their gameplay with it.

As a computer science student in the 4th/5th semester (Java Development). I already have the basics when it comes to programming. Wich means that I dont need to take time to learn something about programming. This should make me quite suitable for a job like that. So I starded in September 2016 for about one week with a  project called AlphaCallouts. It took me some effort but with the help in the forum, I finally got my first, pretty unique callout to run. Happy as I was, I started the next one, nearly finished it aswell. At this point I was very hyped to join like the "high class of content creaters on lspdfr" (please dont take that too seriously). I tested my stuff over and over again, and worked on it. Then it came across a bug that made my game crash. At the same time, my vacation ended and I had to start the 3rd semester at the university. I didnt touch my project for quite a while. Having to do with coding and software development all day doesnt make you want to come home and work on coding again. What that means is that I completly abandoned my small project. I wouldnt say it was on purpose, it just wasnt doable for me. I always thought about getting started again, and my inner me always reminded me how "cool" it would be to have a plugin finally finished and open to download, but that were only thoughts.

And there we are. Its about 10 months later, and the situation hasent changed at all. I opened my IDE today, took a quick look at the project and closed it again. I wonder how you motivate to get ypur projects done. My will is still the same and I dont know why I cant motivate myself. You should think that the "happiness" once the project is finished should be enough as motivaten but somehow it wont work for me.

Callout plugins have always been important to LSPDFR because if u play alot, you dont want the same callouts to popup over and over again. We already have a good variety of callouts, but some are better than others and even the best callouts are used up after some time. So I think having a refreshment from time to time would be cool. I have so many ideads of callouts that are pretty unique and have some twists that are currently not in the game, but how can I get them out?

This has been a lot of personal talking and stuff, but I feel like I need someone to talk about this. So if anyone has suggestions, any ideas or something then hit me up with it. Or maybe someone plans on creating a new callout plugin and needs some ideas for his callouts, I´d be glad to assist him.

Break got a reaction from MrKoteJ in Trainer? What is it and why is it needed?
A trainer allows you to quickly access features of the game, that would otherwise be time-intensive or straight up impossble, such as:

    - Changing your player character
    - Changing your clothes on the fly
    - Spawning a car, changing its livery, paint, wheels and components on the fly
    - Giving yourself (and also removing) weapons
    - Teleporting

    etc.

It's basically a tool to "cheat" in single player.

For basic trainer functionality you can use RagePluginHook (type "help" in the console to see some commands).
If you want something more extensive and quicker to use, I can recommend the Simple Trainer by sjaak327.

Break reacted to Cyan in Would there ever be a ranking system?
Something similar might return for LSPDFR. The previous system was ultimately abandoned because it became very complex to maintain (there were numerous servers, code written in a mix of PHP/node.js/C#). There is an effort for a new system that would be much simpler for us to maintain behind the scenes.

Hi, I've got a few suggestions for you:

    1) First off, you need to desperately fix the main body color. FHP vehicles are black. The purple-ish black/grey you've chosen there is very far from reality.

    2) You need to make your livery follow the body lines alot more. If you take a look at the "STATE TROOPER" writing on the fender, it needs to be tilted so it roughly follows the imaginary line drawn from the line splitting the beige and the black on the rear quarter panel (I've marked a quick approximation in red). Speaking of the rqp, you need to make the beige stop way higher up and actually have the border line follow the lines of the car, so it looks straight. Again, I've drawn a red line where the beige should usually stop.

    3) There's a lot of sloppiness in matching the livery to the bodyparts. If you take a look at the A-Pillar, you will see that the beige part still misses good part of the A-Pillar. On FHP cars the whole A-Pillar is beige down to where it meets the fender and the hood. Same goes for the rear door, here the beige protrudes into the front door, where it should stop at the door line.

Break got a reaction from 1supermiguel in Put sirens onto a non-police vehicle
Actually, you should be able to edit the carvariations.meta, look for INSURGENT2 and change
    to any of these:

Then you wouldn't have to replace any model. I haven't tried it on existing models yet, but it SHOULD add sirens to the vehicle, as it's the same method used when you add new police car models to the game.

EDIT: This should also influence the siren used (as there is several different sirens in the game) and also to some extent the flash pattern (if I'm not totally mistaken)
