Error with this -- Please help
If it's a custom vehicle it probably requires the ELS Emergency Lighting System mod to work. http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=196

Installation failed.
This is a really common problem; Run the installer as admin by right clicking and clicking 'run as administrator' Further, go to the folder where your game is installed (for steam it should be steam/steamapps/common/grand theft auto iv/gta iv/) and make sure those files and folders are not ready only (highlight ALL of them, right click, properties, untick read only) You download the installer form this website. It is a file called 095RC2R2.exe. Place it somewhere (like your desktop)

traffic flow and indicator mods
The mods should most likely come with readme files that tell you where to install them but for most mods you just put the files in the download into your gtaiv/scripts/ folder

Is that the default vapid police car? I'll love you forever if you make a slicktop version with internal non-els lights and multiple livers.

A few questions about Multiplayer...
You'll have to install the mod twice to have it installed on both regular GTA IV and on EFLC, just change the install path each time. Any multiplayer game is very client-side so lots of your mods won't effect anything and you can still play with people who don't have any of those mods. The reason we attempted to make so many restrictions in multiplayer is so we could stop so many people crashing when they were relied on. I think the DAS call signs are determined by what ped you have. Official MP games just spring up every now and then, we haven't had one in a while but feel free to communicate with your friends or others on the forum to start your own games. The way LCPDFR works is the same as it does in singleplayer. If other people in the game don't have the mod they will still see you chasing offenders, arresting them etc. but they won't be able to interact with it in any way (they don't get callouts, can't go into police stations, can't arrest etc.). It's better if others have it but even then it's not like everyone gets the same callouts. Essentially each person is running the mod separately for themselves but you're sharing the map.

Need Help With Mods!!
You probably need ELS if they are custom vehicles (Emergency Lighting System). ELS is a mod for custom vehicles that use ELS lighting rather than the original game lights. The dashcam download comes with a pdf explaining how to install and activat eit. Once it has been installed properly you just press Alt-D in a car while ingame to bring up the camera interface.

Crazy Citizen Kill Officer Rios
Oh wow, is that just a totally random event thing or do you have like ped crime mods? It sounded like he was actually trying to ram you, and then the fact that he got out when you did and started firing was nuts.

Who Knows of a Good mod (Rest Of Thing in desc of post)
You can press T in the game to have your map zoom reset and to display the current street A function of ELS v6 is to display the street and suburb name under the minimap in ELS-active cars As above, you can add the google maps style minimap to have the street names on the map.

Error installing LCPDFR .95
Right click on the installer and run it as administrator Make sure the files and folders in your /grand theft auto iv/ folder in program files are not set to read only (right click > properties > read only). If you can't manage to make any of those solutions work, choose not to install the taser.

LCPD Database Bug
Try opening the computer menu, then going into your game options (press esc) and change your mouse sensitivity slightly. Resetting it will sometimes fix the problem.

Turn signals. (Hope this doesnt go under support)
It is a feature of ELS (even on cars where ELS isn't activated). As above, press alt-y to turn them off or you can probably change the hazard light key in the els.ini file.

Lights bar disappearing
If you don't have any ELS compatible cars at all, then just uninstall ELS entirely by deleting its two files in your root directory. If you do have els for some cars, you have to understand which ones that is and change all of the others to active = 0
-
Lights bar disappearing
Open the ELS.ini file and change active = 1 to active = 0 for any vehicles that are not ELS. The els.ini should be in your root folder.

First Response mod installation issues for GTA IV: EFLC... PLEASE HELP!!
Download it and chuck the two ELS files in your root directory (the same folder that the launcheflc or launchgta executables are).

Can We play LCPDFR using "" NIKO and Luis Fernando Lopez """
Yeah, just use CTRL-P or alt-f12 to force onduty instead of going to a police station (you still have to activate the mod first)

First Response mod installation issues for GTA IV: EFLC... PLEASE HELP!!
If you have Simple Native Trainer you can use the menus to spawn vehicles If you don't, just use the scripthook console that is provided with LCPDFR Hit the ` key in the top left of your keyboard while ingame to activate the console and type spawn _____ to spawn any vehicle. So for a police car it would be spawn police spawn police2 spawn noose spawn polpatriot spawn fbi

Can I change my character.
If you want, you can change it so regular noose aren't crouching all the time. Follow the info in this thread:

First Response mod installation issues for GTA IV: EFLC... PLEASE HELP!!
'ticked' and 'filled' check-boxes mean different things. If it is ticked, you have a problem, if it is filled then it may not necessarily mean the files we need are still read only. Are you running the LCPDFR installer as administrator by right clicking it and selecting run as admin? If nothing else seems to work for you, you can just select to not install the taser during installation and you won't have this problem.

Police Shoot-out Where I Lived
I don't see how anyone is really flaming each other rather than debating the issues. Police deployment of lethal force is a huge issue in that it involves the officers essentially playing judge, jury and executioner all in one action. It is only a legitimate cause of action in the direct protection of other human lives. Just because an offender/accused/suspect has been involved in a firefight with police or others at one point does not mean that at any point later it is still legitimate to to abandon the pursuit of an arrest in favour of lethal force. Please feel free to read sections of this document; http://www.thecommon.../CPTMlowres.pdf Although the United States aren't part of the commonwealth, the notions in the document with regard to policing and human rights are essentially and ideally universal.

First Response mod installation issues for GTA IV: EFLC... PLEASE HELP!!
Removing read-only protection from a folder should allow you the option to apply the change to all files and folders inside it. But yeah that's essentially what has to be done.

First Response mod installation issues for GTA IV: EFLC... PLEASE HELP!!
You need to do that for the entire folder that contains all of your gta iv files so that it applies to all the folders and files within it, particularly the data folder. And run the installer as administrator by right clicking it.
