  1. Did you edit the vehicles.ide (gtaiv/common/data) to add +livery to the vehicle line? eg. police, police, car, POLICE, POLICE, VEH@STD, VEH@STD_RI1, 100, 999, 0.2345, 0.2345, 0.2, 2, 1.0 ,1, ext_requi+ext_strong+livery
  2. Model looks great, been looking for something exactly like it. Some of the textures are a bit funny though. One of the upper textures and one of the pants textures. I might have a play with textures for it if you don't mind.
  3. Is that a full appointment belt or just a handgun/holster?
  4. Ah I realised I can barely remember photoshp. But you right click the layer and open the layer styles and find the stroke option.
  5. It would have been an interesting circumstances when the off-duty, non-code 3 vehicle crashes at high speed and kills a civilian. The assumption that police can do whatever they want when wearing their uniforms and in their vehicles in an inherently flawed one. It's very easy to pass judgement after the fact when you know all this other information that has come to light since but if you put yourself in the shoes of that highway patrol officer I think you'd have a hard time not following protocol with the felony stop.
  6. Next to the ped model name there is a number. If you have removed any lines, reduce that number by the number of lines you have taken away and see if that does it.
  7. You've tried reducing the number of variations when you remove the line right?
  8. How come? Did it crash the game or did it just not have any effect?
  9. Removing the p_head lines in pedvariations.dat might do the trick?
  10. Open peds.ide in the commondata folder and in the fourth column, change the value to move_cop So for M_y_Swat change it to M_Y_Swat, M_Y_Swat_p, COP, move_cop, For fatcop: M_M_FatCop_01, M_M_FatCop_01_p, COP, move_cop,
  11. Is it a legitimate copy of the game or a cracked version?
  12. Has the OP even confirmed at what point exactly the game crashes. You seriously should try deleting xliveless and reinstalling with dsound as the asi loader.
  13. Great to see Harper. If you do that non-els slicktop of the vapid and keep the lowpolys, top it off with multiple liveries and we gonna be good friends .
  14. Check your root directory (rockstar gamesgrand theft auto iv) and see if either dsound or xliveless are in there. If they both are: delete one If neither are: reinstall the mod and make sure you choose to install one of them It is preferred you install dsound rather than xliveless.
  15. I can answer number 3 for you I have trafficflow and a duplicate called trafficflowtwo installed, both with different car lists. I've grouped a number of ordinary cars into trafficflow and given it a higher spawn chance than trafficflow2 that has rarer cars like sportscars and trucks.
  16. Delete xliveless and reinstall with dsound. See if that helps
  17. In your gtaivscripts folder open firstresponse.ini and replace your lines with these: [CALLOUTS] CalloutTriggerMultiplier = 350 MaxDelayBetweenCallouts = 180 MinDelayBetweenCallouts = 30 This will make callouts more frequent. To get more callouts, move around the game map and press alt-f11 to force a callout. This feature is likely to be removed in the official version but for now it will make a random callout occur.
  18. Yeah that is correct. Not sure about the fatal error, depends on what code it was. If it was SMPA60, which is a common one, it is to do with modded vehicles.
  19. Is the audio really crackly for some reason?
  20. You only need one copy of scripthook and one copy of dsound or xliveless. They are just provided with some mods because the mod requires them to run. If you already have a copy then there's no need to install it. Only install the most recent versions of scripthook and dsound as older ones are likely to make certain mods not work.
  21. In general, in custom car that the game has not been optimised to run with is likely to cause some level of of instability. This is why the taxi bug occurs. Looking at mp specifically, more difficulties are created when the people playing on the multiplayer game have different cars with different extra parts so when the game is trying to make sense of different inputs from different users for the same vehicles it can cause a crash, usually the SMPA60 error. Combine the two and you can start to understand that having heaps of custom cars that are all different for the different people in the mp game heightens the chances of the game having a fit and crashing. The best advice is, if you really want to have custom cars, just give it a go and work out how much the game will handle smoothly.
  22. ELS isn't active for that vehicle in your Els.ini configuration file. You also have to press J, K and L to turn on ELS lights.
  23. Well, if it's a custom vehicle (it sounds like it has a custom lightbar at least) it probably requires the ELS Emergency Lighting System mod to work. http://gtapolicemods...?do=file&id=196 Download and install as per the readme file.
  24. Ah, the 2k games version of the game always tends to have trouble working properly with the mod. Also, the read-only property is most likely not resetting. You are likely confusing 'ticked' with 'filled'. Ticked means the files are read only, filled means that some of them (likely hidden folders that you can't change the properties of) are read only.
