I've been wanting armoured security in armoured cars for ages, this is great! How doe is it effect other traffic mods? Does it work alongside them with no problems? If the vehicle, let's say the securicar appears on my trafficflow and in this mod, will it appear with armoured security and with regular peds? So then I can pull over the cars if i see them with civi drivers for theft? :thumbsup:

Are you sure you are pressing the left alt key and P and not ctrl p? Which version of lcpdfr did you install?

Apologies for taking the thread in this direction but is this http://www.gtagarage...ow.php?id=16275 the mod you are talking about? How's the stability? I use to use criminal acts but I noticed I had far fewer random crashes without it. Personally I like to take on the role of the vehicle and player skin that I pick. If i pick my FIB livery charger i'll either play with state troopers or FIB and patrol the airport and conduct vehicle/ped searches, if I play as NOOSE i'll use my tahoe and respond primarily to shootouts, if I pick my highway patrol livery I'll usually set up a speed trap and only respond to other traffic violations and suspects fleeing calls, if I pick my armoured sheriff ped I'll jump in my sheriff's charger and patrol a wide area etc. etc. It's that kind of 'department realism' that keeps it interesting for me.

To get NOOSE (and polpatriot) to spawn and patrol: To get FIB and NOOSE to spawn and patrol: I followed the first tutorial for just my noose vehicle (which I have as state police/highway patrol) and it works great. It does not damage LCPDFR at all if you are doing it correctly.

Have you tried using dsound asi loader instead of xliveless?

Completely uninstall grand theft auto iv and all of its components and then reinstall it. Also update your hardware drivers (particularly audio and video hardware).

Solid square just means that you are trying to change the read only properties of a folder and certain things inside it are not ready only. At a file level, please check the write privileges (check the weaponinfo xml file and the weaponinfo.xml.bak file) and tell me what symbol they have.

I think it is to do with SNT, there's just something to do with the keys for it that causes a conflict but I'm not 100% on the fix as I don't use it myself. I just know that I've seen people talk about disabling something in SNT so they can activate the LCPDFR mod. I'll see if I can bring it up. edit: Okay I think if there is a configuration file for SNT or it's in the trainer's ingame options you need to select 'Disable Bindings' and then save/apply that changed setting.

I think you have to disable keys with SNT as there is a conflict. If that's not the case; Diagnostic looks fine but please answer some other questions; When you are pressing alt-P, are you actually ingame and playing a loaded save? Have you completed a couple of missions in that saved game before attempting to activate the mod? When you are ingame playing the loaded save, what happens if you press the ` key (top left of your keyboard). It should open a console up. Are you sure you are holding the left alt key down and pressing the p key while doing so? What if you press ctrl and P or ctrl and f12? These are keys to force duty - does anything happen when you press these? You must own Grand Theft Auto IV for starters, buy it online or in a store. A pirated version will not work. Then once you have it installed and you've completed a few missions you install the LCPDFR modification onto your game after downloading it from this website.

Can you honestly say that you tried to change the write protection of files previously?

Post your diagnostics log from the g17 tool, as tom has been saying since earlier.

No, the problem is not with the rc2 installer. It works for everyone else. The problem is on your end with you lacking the ability to change the write protection on the game's files. Try what skullcandy said and see if there are any anti-virus or other permissions issues that are restricting the installer.

Try highlighting (selecting) all of the files inside the gtaicommondata folder and changing the read only protections at that level. Are you using an administrator account?

Not necessarily. Car mods yes, other mods aren't fully cross-compatible.

Check that the files inside EFLCcommondata are not ready only. Right click them, go to properties and uncheck the read only box.

That error is not related to EFLC at all, it is because you are not running it as admin or your game data folder is ready only as is discussed many times in this forum.
