  1. You''ll need to post your logs to get any kind of help. Also, instead of restarting the game, you can press ~ then type "reloadscripts" and start LCPDFR over. If you don't want to drive to a police station after doing this, press ~ again and type "forceduty".
  2. You have to complete the first mission of the game, then save, then use LCPDFR.
  3. If you get "Duty forced," you are using an old version of the mod. Nothing to see here! This topic has been closed by LCPDFR.com staff as it is a support topic concerning an unsupported version of LCPDFR. We do not support old versions of LCPDFR, and recommend you use and download the latest version. If you feel that this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  4. You could make it always have a dash light, and make the roof light randomly spawn as extra_10.
  5. Install this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653

  7. The mod is working fine, you have to press Alt-P to start it when you are able to get in game. Not sure about the game crashing on startup though.
  8. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Support Requests as this is not related to the LCPDFR modification itself.
  9. LCPDFR.log is generated in your main GTA IV directory, please upload it here.
  10. XButton1 - bottom (back in a browser) button XButton2 - top (forward in a browser) button They are case sensitive apparently, since having them in all caps didn't work in my game. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.input.mousebutton%28v=vs.110%29.aspx
  11. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Development Suggestions & Requests as this is a request for a mod to be made.
  12. MODERATOR NOTICE Your thread has been moved to GTA IV Discussion and Media. Please read the "Showroom Style Forums" announcement before posting in the showroom forums: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forum-792/announcement-11-showroom-style-forums/
  13. MODERATOR NOTICE Your thread has been moved to GTA IV Discussion & Media. The General & Miscellaneous Discussion section is a general purpose forum for all forms of miscellaneous discussion not catered for by any subject-specific forum. He's free to ask for someone to help him beta test his mods if he wishes. Perhaps he wants just a few people's opinions before he releases anything to the public? A lot of people will think their own work is perfect, when in fact it could use a lot of improvement. He could get feedback from just a few people on what to improve before showing it to everyone or releasing it.
  14. MODERATOR NOTICE Second topic about the indictment and riots surrounding it has merged with this one.
  15. The model has been updated with blue lights in the headlights, fog lights (at least I guess that's what they are), and reverse lights. I didn't test the locked version of the model so it could actually be completely broken... Which it appears to be. Uploading hopefully fixed one now. It should be fine. If it looks broken after installing, just reinstall it. If it still refuses to work properly then let me know.
  16. Yes, please post any logs. Based on your screenshot, there is no ScriptHookDotNet log or AdvancedHook log, meaning they fail to load. Make sure you are using the ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi (NOT .dll), and dsound.dll from the LCPDFR installation as those will be the latest versions.
  17. Please do the following: Make sure that you run the game as an administrator. Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only" Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder. Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation. Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself. Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012 If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post. If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following: Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log). Post your system specifications.
  18. I was referring specifically to anyone who says that large American cars are ridiculous. I understand there are larger vehicles in Europe, and I assume those that say large American cars are impractical will also say that large European cars are impractical, right? My comment saying "tiny European cars" was only because other people say "oversized American cars."
  19. This is for LukeD's Callouts+ and it is a known issue. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  20. I agree with OL, Americans have a different living situation than people in other countries. It doesn't even have to be for work, it could be for a family going on vacation. When I go on vacation with my mom, there are usually 6 of us. My (6'5") stepfather, mother, step-grandmother, 2 brothers, and myself. Our Ford Expedition comfortably fits all of us, plus room for all of our luggage. Actually, it's usually hard to fit all of our luggage in the trunk, but we manage (my stepfather refuses to get one of those carriers that goes on the luggage rack on top). Sure, the gas mileage might not be so great, about 18 MPG highway, but I doubt your tiny European cars would fit all of us.
  21. I believe he was saying that you should, not that he is going to do it. Saying "I would" do something is usually meant as a suggestion.
  22. That error just means that there is no value specified in the .ini for those settings, and will therefore use the default setting. It is not an issue.
  23. I noticed this problem when I had too many misc_[letter]s, along with an "Invalid resource detected" crash when spawning the model. I think there was misc_a - misc_e on the default model, then misc_s - misc_z on my modded model. After reducing that down a lot, it never seemed to have a problem.
  24. Make sure you have all of these installed, x86 if it gives you the option: http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=30679 http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=5555 http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=35 http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=30653
  25. I also noticed Skype uses an infinite amount of RAM when left open. I have 16 GB of RAM and about 65% was being used after my computer and Skype had been running for about 8 hours. Stopping Skype from running on startup fixed the problem and now my computer uses less than 25% RAM when idle. So yeah, Skype has some issues.
