  2. If you are going to beat someone up over an opinion they have then you are not someone I want representing my country.
  3. Antivirus software mistakenly detects LCPDFR as a virus because of the nature of the mod. It acts kind of like a virus in order to work, but is not harmful in anyway whatsoever.
  4. I don't plan to, I was just making an argument for that specific point, which is commonly used by conspiracy theorists and is easily dis-proven.
  5. You failed to read the entire article: Here's an example used in the article to make it easy for anyone to understand:
  6. And there's evidence refuting this as well (in my last post), but I fail to see any evidence of your own about any of your points.
  7. "Documentaries" are hardly proof. I trust physics to explain what happened a whole lot more: http://www.nmsr.org/nmsr911a.htm tl;dr - the force of the top floors falling was too much for the lower floors to handle, causing it to collapse onto itself floor by floor. This is also the reason it fell downwards and not on its side - had the top floors never caved in, the entire towers never would have fallen.
  8. MODERATOR NOTICE Your thread has been moved to the GTA IV Support Requests forum, as it is not an LCPDFR support request.

  11. Make sure you disable your antivirus when downloading and installing LCPDFR.
  12. Install this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 And this, choosing the _x86 option: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
  13. Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR. You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them. Please do the following: Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues Make sure that you run the game as an administrator. Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only" Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder. Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation. Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself. Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012 If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post. If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following: Give a clear, detailed description of the problem. Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem. State what solutions you have tried. Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log). Include as much information as possible. Post your system specifications. Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods. Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.
  14. Lightbars are not exclusive to emergency services...Yes, police cars, ambulances, and firetrucks generally have lightbars (or some sort of emergency lighting setup); but so do tow trucks, construction vehicles, DOT vehicles, security vehicles, volunteer firefighters/paramedics' personal vehicles, tractor trailers, and every other vehicle that might need to warn other drivers of their presence.
  15. You can make dummies for the extras by changing the tool that has a cone shape to "Dummy Helper" by clicking the drop down arrow, then click on the tool. It will add a dummy to the hierarchy - just rename and move it to the right place, then you can drag the L0's, etc. into that. If you look at my hierarchy you can see how extras 5, 6, and 9 are different. Look closely. You need to attach extras with the same name using the attach tool - see this tutorial. Edit: Also, extra_# shouldn't be the actual light texture. It should just be a dummy - extra_#_L0 should be the light, and placed inside extra_# in the hierarchy.
  16. Install this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653
  17. I don't think it's an issue, just something being logged. It's common and shouldn't cause any problems.
  18. I'm being held against my will, send help I think they heard me...
  19. Your hierarchy needs to look like this: extra_1 extra_1_L0 extra_2 extra_2_L0 extra_3 extra_3_L0 extra_4 extra_4_L0 extra_5 extra5 extra5_L0 extra_6 extra6 extra6_L0 extra_7 extra_7_L0 extra_8 extra_8_L0 extra_9 extra9 extra9_L0 There can't be extra_10, extra_40, etc. and extra_5, extra_6, and extra_9 are set up differently than the rest.
  20. Well I'm not sure why that would be. Perhaps a complete reinstall and start from fresh is in order.
  21. Whatever version of WinZip you are using is taking the files out of the folders within the archive (see the Path part on that picture you posted). Use 7zip instead, it's free and much better in my opinion. You install ELS by dragging all of the contents of "INSTALLATION FILES" to your main GTA IV directory. If you have LCPDFR installed, however, do not copy AdvancedHook.dll, ScriptHook.dll, or dsound.dll as LCPDFR already installed the newest versions of those.
  22. If you don't have EFLC, then I don't know what to tell you.
  23. LCPDFR creates a log when it initializes. It initializes when the game starts. Going on duty only activates the mod - it's already initialized when you press Alt-P, just not activated.
  24. Just to make it easier for me, delete LCPDFR.log from your GTA IV directory. Then go in game and try to start LCPDFR (if it works great, if not continue reading). Quit the game and run the diagnostic tool again, then post the new log the tool creates.
  25. If the error message about LCPDFR.loader.loader (or whatever it says) shows up, then something will be in the log about why there was an error.
