  1. Could be added to the ID check, when calling in an ID from the car or on foot. Would be a nice touch. I too always see the police toss a guy and his car every time there is a probationer or parolee, when watching COPS. I kind of assume it's an automatic red flag for the fuzz to search. Sometimes it drive me nuts when five cops toss a guys car for two segments, find a tiny piece of weed and arrest the poor guy, who's done nothing more than turn onto a one-way street without a blinker. Seems kind of harsh for such a minor violation. DrDetroit
  2. 1st person mod is best for in-car cam. Plus I believe you can change the tint by swapping the winshield texture. Not certain though. DrDetroit
  3. Happy Birthday buddy! DrDetroit
  4. Wish I could help with that. I use xlive.dll, which means I never use or log into Windows Live and don't do online. From what I remember though (been awhile since a clean install), I had a similar issue using Dsound.dll, so I popped in xlive and it worked fine. Make sure you only have one or the other installed, not both. I also use the LaunchEFLC.exe and not the steam launcher...may make a difference as well. Good luck! DrDetroit
  5. Well, you're not suppose to delete anything from LCPDFR 1.0...just install the new 1.0b on top with the auto installer. That's probably your issue with the game not starting. Go back and put all the LCPDFR 1.0 files back in, make sure the game works, then just install 1.0b. DrDetroit
  6. What I do on certain stops is ask the ped to step out and then I'll check his/her ID and call it in. If all is well, I wrap up the stop and ask the ped to get back in the car. Works like a charm and can be a bit more efficient at times. The drug deal ambient scenario is pretty cool and you kinda have to be paying attention to see the suspicious activity itself. Very cool scenario though. DrDetroit
  7. Here's one, Has a ram-bar and different skin, but basically the same truck: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> Bunch of slicktops on this site as well. DrDetroit
  8. Did I hear right...The Ford PI has twin turbo? Geezzz...the mechanics are going to be working overtime. My Audi lost it's turbo 4-times, was not cheap to fix. Like $3,500 a pop. My coil pack went out like once a month though. Anyhow, enjoyed the vid. Thanks for posting. DrDetroit
  9. Cool...my home town. I'm going to have to watch this one. DrDetroit EDIT: Chevy Caprice PPV...yuk. One ugly azz car.
  10. Just curious what the hacker is trying to buy. Buds for TF3..what's that??? Pretty crazy...fortunately it seems like the other guy did his due diligence before accepting payment. DrDetroit
  11. Funny stuff though; "I'm a cop and your a dickhead!". I crack up when my cop says that line after walking up to a car. In any event, hardcore mode is the way to go. It can be tough to make through a day in LC sometimes without getting killed. DrDetroit
  12. Was just going to ask how to check driver via dispatch...thanks for the answer. I think the cut scene settings are in the configuration setup menu, where you can check the boxes for cutscenes, random events, set instances, ect. DrDetroit
  13. Wow, unexpected. Thanks again Sam and crew. You guys are theee best! DrDetroit
  14. Pretty neat! I bet people slow down when driving near you. DrDetroit
  15. Interesting story. I've always wondered how serious armored truck guards take their jobs. I often see security dropping off/picking up bags of cash from the bank, just leisurely walking all the way back to the armored car with the bags in hand. Seems so casual, that I could just run up, grab the bags, run, and get away. To the point; I've learned a long time ago not to assume anything when it comes to the general public. Assume NOTHING with the masses of the asses. People in general are so self-consumed and self-centered that they don't pay attention to anything past the tip of their noses. Just drive down the street and you see it. Good day! DrDetroit
  16. Use DSF models for low poly counts. Only mod slots that do not spawn, like fbi, noose and nstockade. This goes for ELS. Do that and you shouldn't have issues. DrDetroit Yes, use the / located on the number pad. Sometines I have to press it several times to get it to work. DrDetroit
  17. Oh yea, texture pops on the console sometimes...a little lag every now and then too. I do enjoy the casual gaming on the console, I have no qualms at all with my PS3. I bought it just for RDR and GTAV. Going to grab Sleeping Dogs next if I like the demo. PC version hands down due to the mods available, can't do much without them and the game just isn't the same without the mods. When the PC version arrives for GTAV, the game will get the attention to detail and the spit-shine polish it's missing now. The talented modders in wait will make up for the missing details, variety and game play. Both are cool, but PC rules. DrDetroit
  18. Damn, old school Caprice Classic isn't it? Nice screens! DrDetroit
  19. I was coming up the backside of My Chillad and I see the police helicopter up the trail in the distance (Thelma and Louise random event). I come over a rise, and lowe-and-behold, Thelma and Louise drives right past me. Apparently they launched the car, like they are supposed to, but the car didn't explode and Thelma didn't die in the crash but Louise did (as you can see...or vise-versa). I had to dispatch Thelma to get the car, and decided to drive around with the deceased Louise for awhile. I ended up taking the car to LS Custom, had it fixed and put insurance and tracking on it. |
  20. Love the concept, like the blue as well.
  21. That's what it is then, because every time I use M to activate the speed radar all cars in the area come to a stop. I just figured it was conflicting code with the radar. Was driving me nuts when trying to do speed traps. Thanks for the heads up! DrDetroit
