  1. I'm glad you got Ekalb's non-els cars in that list. Those are some of the best non-CVPIs out there. Thanks for the list guys. Good day, DrDetroit
  2. There is a detective ped already, a pretty good one, that I use. It's here on this site's DL page somewhere, I think it's simply called LCPD Detective Ped. Different suits, jackets, pants, heads, and the model has the badge hanging around the peds neck. Really nice ped mod for detective ped upgrade. There is no mention in the readme as to who's it is, nor any links though. You'll have to do a search. DrDetroit
  3. I see...thanks guys. Those are some nice screens. I was looking into buying ARMAIII, but seems like there is no campaign in SP and it's mostly geared toward Online play. Have had my fill of griefers with GTAV and RDR. Not too enthused about online gameplay. DrDetroit
  4. Mark my words here...you will see the scenarios I made played out in a court of law one day. Someone will make the argument I made and will probably win. Then I will say "see...I told ya so". EDIT: And...yea, I get your point C13. I do know how to read and write. Just wait till it happens though. DrDetroit
  5. Wait one cotton pickin minute....ARMAII has a cop mod? I was just about to play it again, it's been like a year or so. Can you give more details? Cool pics BTW. DrDetroit
  6. I agree Leonov. A civil union is sufficient and grants all legal rights, same as a married man and woman. Forcing churches to go against their own belief is reprehensible and violates the 1st Amendment and will not stand. DrDetroit
  7. Dude, STFU already with your insults you child! You have no argument, so you attack me because you don't like my opinion. You are ignorant and incohearant at best. I don't give a rats ass what you think pal. Go fuk a goat dirtbag. Don't get mad at me because you're gay. It's all good dude. DrDetroit
  8. I hear ya brother. Many people do think that of the Bible, and I respect that totally. We're all good! The "how do we know...." question, that has been debated from the beginning. Remember, the fingerprint of mans immorality has left a mark on the Bible and chapters that have been left out. That don't mean the Bible, in it's original form, was/is not the word of God. Faith is believing in something that can't be seen, that's why it's faith. If you can see it and touch it, then there is no need for faith or believing. Good day, DrDetroit
  9. LukeD...dude, the Bible is considered the Word of God, Period...if your a Christian. What do you think the Bible is? I didn't say I hated gays, where are you getting that from. I think their actions are repugnant, but I don't begrudge the person or think that person is evil. The Bible also says; hate the sin, love the sinner. I don't hate anybody. So your argument is way off base and based on something that was never ever stated. DrDetroit You are lost man...totally lost on what I said and lost on my point. EDIT: "Hillbilly brain"? Now why do you find it necessary to make a stupid point by calling someone you don't know a derogatory name? You have no argument at all, you disagree with my opinion, that's fine. But why do you have to go in the dirt and call me a hillbilly? You must be a child, as no adult has cause to say something so stupid. I live in Birmingham Michigan you moron. Khanage, I apologize if I offended you and your boyfriend/partner. Muh bad! DrDetroit
  10. Yes, gay marriage is a slippery slope. Personally, I don't really care either way...maybe I should though. I do have my opinion's on the matter though. But if you follow the logical process, then why can't someone marry their cat or dog? If two guys can get married simply because they love each other, then the same logic follows; does it not? DrDetroit
  11. Your argument is very cogent. Thanks for the words of wisdom pal. DrDetroit
  12. If it's OK for two men to get married, then it's ok for someone to marry a goat. It should be OK to marry a child then as well or to marry a loved dog. Why not? It's all good dude! First off; if you believe in the Bible, God and Jesus, you have to accept what the Bible tells you. You can't pick and choose what to accept, because the Bible is the word of God, if you are a true Christian. So to say it shouldn't be morally wrong is plane ignorance because that is impossible. Some people, many people live by a moral code of ethics and understand the meaning of morality, in it's truest sense. You can choose to ignore it and belittle it and blaspheme all you want. But it IS morally wrong as it should be, if you (general you) have a moral compass that is. Two men are not supposed to have sexual relations period and is a biological fact. It's morally reprehensibly to most reasonable people, as two men can't produce a child (nor two women) and is such a repugnant act in itself. Not the true meaning of marriage and it's origins if you ask me or any historian, or religious scholar. Now, I'm Roman Catholic, but I do not care if two guys are together. I don't even care if they get married as it matters not one bit to me. But I will not be forced to accept it as moral behavior by any means, nor will I be forced to accommodate those who have so little regard for others and who have not thought about marriage and what it truly means for more than 30-seconds. Why is marriage considered an institution then? It's being turned into a mockery. DrDetroit
  13. So, I'm chasing a sport bike (modded BMW race bike and handling line), finally able to cut him off while he's going like 50-60mph, he T-bones my cruiser and while the perp is still mid-air, my cop says "Suspect is on foot!". I couldn't stop cracking up over that. Yea, he was on foot in the sense he was not on the bike....but the sudden stop killed him. DrDetroit
  14. Mainly because you have the same mods I have, although I run a few more mods. The one I don't use is the More Liberty mod, I use Traffic Load with ped and car density multiplier set to 200 and 250 respectivly (200 is 2x the normal amt, 250 is 2.5x the normal amt). Plus I think I read of the same issue with that mod at GTA4-mods...could have been here...can't remember. EDIT: With that said, I too am going to try the ModifyPedsFear, as the peds are always frightened easily. Not as easy as you describe, but they run their lives for most any reason. DrDetroit
  15. I think it's the More Liberty City mod causing issue with peds. Use Traffic Load instead, you can adjust the car and ped multiplier to get more realistic looking amt of ped/cars on the streets/sidewalks and doesn't cause lag. You don't need to reinstall, just remove the mods manually. DrDetroit
  16. Common/Data/handling.dat. BUT there is no handling line for pstockade. So you have to modify the vehicle.ide, also in the common/data folder. I never modified my pstockade, but I have modified my nstockade. So use something like this for a CVPI type car...this is what I use for my nstockade. I have already changed the it to pstockade for you: pstockade, pstockade, car, POLICE2, TAXI, VEH@STD, VEH@STD_RI3, 100, 999, 0.2345, 0.2345, 0.3, 2, 1.0 ,0, ext_requi+ext_strong+livery Put that in the pstockade line located in your vehicle.ide file. I have the handling line pointed to POLICE2 handling line, located in your handling.dat file. You can point the handling to anything really...police, police2,ect. EDIT: Always backup the files before you modify them. Just incase! Just copy the handling.dat and vehicle.ide before you hack into them. Good luck DrDetroit
  17. Only when GTAV comes to the PC will it be shined up and made perfect. Right now a lot is left to be desired. I'm much more impressed with IV (EFLC + LCPDFR) than V at this point. Granted, after it's all modded up and all that. Still, it seemed to me that IV was much more polished game when it came out. As if people whom had played, and loved GTA seriers, really put their hearts into it. I just don't get that feeling from GTAV and I really try to love that game. Seems very arcady to me, and something in the atmosphere of the game is just not there at this point...as if it's soulless. Anyhow, we need a PC version to rectify these issues. Then it will be what it should have been in the first place. DrDetroit
  18. The accuracy of the police is almost unbearable. I mean, you're in a boat going upstream, bouncing and getting jarred all over the place, the police in hot pursuit in helos, also bouncing all over the place. The cops hit me with nearly every shot they make, in these conditions. It just about kills the game, as it's so damn annoying and ridiculous. The gun fights in GTAIV can be epic since the AI shoot far more realistically. Bullets flying all around you while you're running...hitting walls and the ground around you, good shit. Yea, and the turbo boost the cop cars have are almost just as much a game play killer as well. Why can't R* make a simple tweak to fix these two glaring issues that make the gun fights crap? It can't take but an hour or two to fix these two things...I just don't get it. DrDetroit
  19. Because, other than a simulator, there is no way you're jumping in a F-16 and flying that baby into a combat zone. In a simulator you can. A high fidelity simulator will get you as close as you will ever get to the real thing. I mean, who wouldn't want to shoot down some Mig-29 and SU-27s over Iraq or CAP patrols over the mountains of Afghanistan, or refuel in-flight. For example; Falcon4.0-BMS is such a high fideltity simulator (the source code was leaked by a MicroPros employee, so it's community modded for highest realism). It's so close to the real thing, you could jump into a real F-16C-Block20-50 and start and fly the thing. You actually start in a hangar, with thecanopy open, and have to start the jet, just like the real thing, contact ATC to give you taxi clearances and hold times, vectors, ect. Actual F-16 pilots use this sim to stay familiar with the work-flow patters in the cockpit. Most players also have the exact programmable HOTAS as the real thing (hand on Throttle and stick configurations and subpages) which the sticks are modeled exactly like the F-16C stick and made of aluminum.. The avionics just like the real thing, as far as items not classified. Of course this is a "study" sim, that has real flight manuals to learn how to operate all the master modes, exterior lights, comms, ect. From there you have to learn how to fly in formation and AWACs controls and tasking, just about everything you do in real life in a A/C combat jet. Also, this sim has a fully dynamic ground war and air war going on. As you fly over the FLOT, you see the battles below, and all around you are aircraft like a flight of Buff dropping their ordinaces on a far away target. Very cool sim. The sim is that detailed. Some guys have built full moving platforms and full, working and clickable cockpits with 180degree projectors...crazy shit. Anyhow, that is what simulators are for. For flight sims, the higher fidelity the better..not that MS Flight Sim crap either. Good day, DrDetroit
  20. Don't forget about the venerable State Troopers too (State Police), which is what many local/county police aspire to attain, from what I'm told by a Flint Police shift captain I know, now retired. They get a lot of territory to patrol. I see a lot of them in downtown Detroit hitting the streets lately, helping out the city police. DrDetroit
  21. Yea! Well...I'm throwing in a 55' LCD flatscreen and a box a popcorn too. All for $19.99....just think. You'll have your copy of GTAV-PC before your neighbor. DrDetroit
  22. Yea, I kinda of agree with your sentiments. I haven;t turned it on since LCPDFR 1.0 came out. Been playing LCPD and RDR lately. Not much to do after doing everything and hitting 100%. I mean, what is there to do? I go exploring, base jumps and downhill mountain biking, but not much going on after that. I'm very surprised that R* didn't include things to do like in EFLC, RDR and such; like gambling, pool, going into a bar and drinking or fighting, darts, only one tit-bar, almost zero buildings to enter, watching peeps dance in the clubs and drinking (like EFLC). I was thinking R* was going to have everything from the previous games that were implemented, and then adding more content. You know, like building on top of all that other great stuff that was in the previous games and worked well, should have been in this one, as well as new and more things to do. But the opposite is true, there is almost nothing from the other games seen in GTAV, and less content as well. Online is kind of fun, but also very annoying at the same time. The damn griefers suck. That goes for most online crap like RDR. Soon as I jumped online in RDR and travelling to Armadillo, some little punk kid with a girl voice because his balls haven't dropped yet, decides to grief my character...screw that nonesense. Anyhow, yea...a let down at this point, in my opinion. DrDetroit
  23. I'm taking pre-orders for GTAV-PC version, on sale for $29.99. COme and get it! DrDetroit
  24. Try adding this command line to the root GTA (GTA/EFLC) folder: -norestriction -nomemrestrict -availablevidmem 2 -framelimit 0 -minspecaudio -noprecache -novblank Also, the game actually runs better with high detail settings for some reason, at least on my machine. I don't crash as often as a bit smoother. But without that command line, I crash and get serious lag for some reason. The tips may or may not help you, but it greatly improved my gaming. I also rum Mem-Turbo, which seems to help with the graphics popping. You should be able to fine tune your game with that rig and get it running an hour or two. Fine tuning GTAIV is like walking a tight-rope, and trial/error. Good luck, DrDetroit
  25. RDR for sure. Mafia MafiaII Very good stories in all three, memorable. DrDetroit
