  1. Like I said earlier; go into the LCPDFR.ini and set hardcore to FALSE. Done! DrDetroit
  2. Go into the lcdfr.ini and change hardcore to false. The .ini file is in the games root directory and then look in the lcpdfr folder. Good luck! DrDetroit
  3. ...sorry, not template but a clear window .png?
  4. Love the model, got your slicktop in my FBI slot too.
  5. Get rid of high poly cars in your police-police4 slots, and disable ELS for those cars (assuming your using EFLC, if not just police-police2 for GTAIV). Also,If you have a 2-gig or better GPU, use a commandline.txt (make one) and in it put the following and place txt file in your root game folder. The main line you want is the first one, you can add or remove lines below the -availablevidmem line to experiment how it helps (or not): -availablevidmem 2 -noprecache -novblank -norestrictions -nomemrestrict You can add others or remove the rest of the lines under -availablevidmem 2, which you can change that 2 to higher numbers like 4, 8 or 10, but anything higher than 2 on my system, my police don't spawn at the police station when going on duty. I have to call the mechanic to deliver a car. Other than that, you can try using MemTurbo4, but that has to be setup correctly to work properly. MemTurbo killed any texture loss before I found the commandlines that work for my system. Good luck!! DrDetroit
  6. Not always though. I walked up to a driver on the passenger side a few times, driver had no gun until I approached the window; then he pulled it from his side (from what I could tell while trying to retreat and take cover). Also, sometimes the driver may not be armed, but his passenger may be. I was gunned down a few times when a passenger pulled a sidearm and, from passenger seat and across the drivers side, shot me a few times until my partner took him down. Try keeping a partner around, he/she is a value added asset when in trouble. DrDetroit
  7. Not accusing anybody of anything. I simply said it crashes my game; and it does, for whatever reason. I only run LCPDFR, PH Helper (no world events), Callouts+ and Outers callouts, with no issue EXCEPT when running v8. From reading comments, I'm not the only one. In any event, no big deal, I'm not accusing or upset at all. I'm very happy with v7r2, and very thankful for it as well...I use my mechanic way too often without v7r2. Good day! DrDetroit
  8. I don't do multiplayer with EFLC/LCPDFR, just SP. All I can tell you is that when I have ELSv8 installed, I get 30-min to 1hr of play before the game crashes to desktop. When I remove ELSv8 and revert back to v7r2 I can play 2-3 hours easy, no crashes, smooth gameplay. So if not ELSv8 being the issue, the resultant is the same. DrDetroit
  9. Look, I don't necessarily disagree with you. I don't know about that which you reference, so I can't respond to that issue specifically. I can tell you that the scientist do look at the Antarctic for signs of global warming because, supposedly, those areas would be affected and detected first, measurably and without the variables, before anywhere else. Everywhere else there are far too many factors and variables to conclude a solely human element cause such changes. When I was in grade school, in the late 70s, all the talk among the scientific community was we were in the "Little Ice Age"....now it's global warming...oh, let's just call it climate change. During my youth, this last winter would have been on par for what we expected from Nov-Feb. In the 1500s, it was concluded to be a little ice age (could be 15th century...can't remember...detail without a difference), so the climate is not as predictable as one might think. I'm always skeptical when a gov't agency (or sponsored agency) says there is global warming and the only way to combat it is if we pay $20 per gallon of gas, no coal or shale production, pay higher electric bills, more money for food, and we can't burn wood! That is nothing but tyranny for the sake of the climate, which means they get our money, our lifes production and freedoms because of some edict that the climate is changing. DrDetroit
  10. The climate changes all the time, it's NOT static and not predictable nor is it heavily influenced by anything man does. Just goes to show how vain humans are to actually think we can influence the worlds weather (OK...HARP maybe...but not cow farts and cars). As for the poor polar bears....The ice cap has not melted one iota, it has grown, as it's 70-degrees below zero there. You have to have ice at 32-degrees Fahrenheit for ice to melt, basic science. Do you really think it's ever reached 32-degrees there? Really?? Actually, it's far far colder than that at 70-below zero. Come one folks, it's basic math! Not to mention there is roughly 100-trillion-trillion tons of ice (that is 30-zeros behind the numerator folks). For instance; in order for the ice to increase 1-degree (at the 70-below number), would take approximate 450-trillion joules of energy, or 220,000 of our larges nukes to raise the temp 1-degree. This exercise has been done mathematically, based on volume of ice and average temps. Not gonna happen if you do the math. Another example; remember last winter when many top "climate" scientist went to Antarctica to view and conduct tests on the loss of ice and how it's melting away to nothing. They were on a large ship, an ice cutter, and that ship got stuck in massive ice flows (whoops...the ice was suppose to be melted...what's this!!). Then two Chinese ice breakers show up to save the scientist, and they got stuck...then two more ice breakers got stuck. but..but..but...the ice! It's supposed to be melted!! Or how about the climate reports and charts that have been flat out faked? This has been proven as fact, that the top two/three scientists in the field (forgot their names) has forged and faked their reports and findings. They have the emails and correspondence to prove it...look it up. It's public knowledge at this point Al Gore(d)...pff...he invented the internet; what more needs to be said about his truthfulness. He made billions off this global warming hoax. Bottom line, the climate change is a hoax, and if you believe it, you also probably believe in the Easter Bunny, Santa Clause and Roger Rabbit. Look at it this way; if your studying climate change as a scientist, you probably are getting gov't grants for the research funds. We'll if you say there is no significant climate change, then guess what, you don't need anymore grants for your research becuase there is no need for further research, so the money runs out and you have to go get a real job. That's all this is, scientists to keep the money flowing to the tune of billions of dollars per year. How much proof do people need to see in order to know that it's a hoax so the funds keep on flowing into their projects (and bank accounts) Follow the money folks...that is where the path of lies, deceit and false claims leads to. Good day, DrDetroit
  11. You have to use the handling line for that particular bike, or the ped will act as if on a crotch rocket and the bike will run/look strange. Also, pstockade does not have a handling line, look in the vehicle.ide and its handling line is pointed to nstockade I believe. You have to change this to the handling line you are using. You should use EFLC if you want a police bike, and you get two extra police car slots as well (not to mention it's a better port, much smoother game play with less tendency to crash). Basically you get policeb, police3 and police4 in the image file with EFLC and all separate handling lines as well. EFLC lends itself to modded police bikes much better. DrDetroit
  12. Unfortunately v8 crashes my game after 30min-1hr. Also, causes lag on my setup, which seems to get worse as the game progresses. Anyhow, v7r2 is more to my liking at the moment. The light settings are much more to my liking, the flapping doors don't bother me at all. With v8, and with the idiot AI drivers, I find myself calling the mechanic after almost every call due to the AI ramming my parked car. Great work though! DrDetroit
  13. Good morning/afternoon, Just curious how far out the police set the radar when clocking traffic. Sometimes you see the cop way out, but always wondered if they can clock you at extreme ranges. EX: If I come over a rise and I see a cop in the median, lets say 1/2-3/4 miles out from me, can he clock me that far out with a radar gun? Anybody know what the police generally set the radar guns to, range wise? I assume the laser guns can go to infinity, and can be aimed at a car 2-miles out. Not every traffic patrol has one though. Also, how would an officer know exactly which car is speeding in a large volume of traffic using radar? Does he/she set the radar to hit one particular lane (narrow band) or can they cover all 3-4 lanes of a highway by widening the RF band and basically guess/assume which car is speeding. Just wondering because I has just passed a cop while I was going 20MPH over the limit (doing 90 in a 70), but he didn't budge out of his spot. Wondering if he was clocking another lane, or just couldn't get a read on my car, since I was about 1/2-3/4 miles out from him when I had seen him sitting in the median, I hit the brakes and brought it down to 5-mph over...but I thought I was cooked for sure, but he didn't move. Thanks in advance. DrDetroit
  14. Thanks for the great works Lt. Caine, it's very much appreciated.
  15. I have a backup of my entire GTAIV directory. If I pork something then I just pop in the original file and all is well again. Good luck, DrDetroit
  16. Yes, a skin for the MO folks out there, and one skin with LC for the folks whom try to keep the cars contiguous with LC.
  17. I've run as many as a dozen+ mods at times without much issue (EDIT: not including my car mods, which I keep 6-slots modded with nice ELS cars). There is a point at which the problem becomes such, as stated in earlier replies, that things can get unstable and you start loosing textures and may experience many more random game crashes. The thing is, you can pop in as many mods as you'd like to try, and it will not hurt your systems what-so-ever. May mess up your game, but not your system. Tip is to install one mod at a time, then play the game for awhile to ensure the mod does not conflict and that it actually works as intended. If it breaks your game, just remove it. Always back up your game files too. Backups have saved my azz from having to reinstall many many times. Anyhow, If you install too many mods at once, then play the game only to find out that it's now broken, you'll never be able to track down the mod causing issue if you just installed 4-5 mods at the same time. Good luck! DrDetroit
  18. EDIT:...not instead of KC/MO designation, but with LC designation included.
  19. I love the simple, clean look of the skin.
  20. I'm fairly sure any ELS enabled car works with any version of ELS. I have v6 cars running fine with ELSv8. DrDetroit
  21. VdhPolice Helper works just fine with LCPDFR v1.0-1.0b. The only thing is I turn off the EnableOtherEvent located in the .ini. If you experience crashing, just turn off WorldEvents and/or TrafficEvents...should help. I find PH to be absolutely necessary while on patrol. Just the mechanic alone is worth it's weight in gold (yea, yea, I don't use SNT, never will), but combined with Abraxa's tow mod and Coroner mod, it's a must. Also the ambulance actually drives well when called via PH. They will not run into everything in sight, like the standard ambulance. Good day, DrDetroit
