Just use Traffic Load. That's what I use without issue since day-1. TL is configurable, so you can have more or less car spawning, you can set amt of peds that spawn, and all 80-90+cars spawn. I think Traffic Load is over a GTA4-mods.com and you may find on this site's download page. It's the best traffic fix out there. Good luck! DrDetroit

The issue is now lost with all that crap in that thread/comments to the pic. I mean come on! It's a damn pic, not a released model, and the guy didn't say it was his mods. Sam should ban all the f-heads in that thread. Sends a real strong message that that shit isn't tolerated. THEN, let everybody here know it happened and why. When I have issues with folks at work, they get suspended or terminated, period. That kind of thing grows like a damn cancer, and spreads faster than a mid-July wildfire. I keep the policy very harsh until everybody gets it through their head, and once that happens, I loosen the reins a bit. Anytime you deal with a bunch of people these things can get away from you fast if not squashed. I hear ya. Personally, I like the UFO landing lights. I got pulled over for speeding a month ago and this Tahoe looked like something out of Close Encounters...though that was pretty cool. I told the cop that I was unsure if I was being pulled over by police or if a UFO just landed behind me...he laughed and let me go. The MSP I see on I-696 all the time have the gum-ball on top and two front grill LEDs and two in the back window. That's it. The MSP that pulled me over in Mackinaw city for speeding in July was in a Charger and had the gum-ball on top and I think only two LEDs in the back window. I'm not sure if the additional LED are standardized by the MSP or not. DrDetroit

Wow, that's some crazy vid. Five shots to the torso and that guy went down like a ton of bricks. Kind of disconcerting to see the guy get killed like that though. Bam (5X), dead...no words from the guy...nothing. That's got to get to a cop, when he/she has to kill someone like that. Anyhow, I digress. Looks to me like the cop had no alternatives at all. The officer probably can't retreat any further without loosing LOS, which is never advisable. Can't use a taser as primary weapon, that's dangerous and very unpredictable if no backup around. He told the suspect to drop the knives several times, with threat of force evident. What more can be done? Side Note: You guys ever check out some of the vids of cops getting gunned down. There are some really disturbing vids of these heinous assaults and murder of cops. I'm sure these vids are used for training purposes, as most of the time you can see when things went wrong...and things always get bad very very fast. No wonder police are very leery...but sometimes not leery enough. A difficult tight-rope to walk sometimes, I'd assume. There's one where two cops are checking a guy at a convenience store, another guy watching walks up and shoots both cops, then walks up to the cops who are laying on the floor dying, takes their guns, shoots the cops again at point blank and runs off. It's just unbelievable that there are cold blooded murderers out there, maybe standing right next to you. DrDetroit

Sometime I have to hit CTRL+Z several times, while moving the camera around a bit. For some reason the barriers spawn more consistently when panning around while hitting the keys. Works better when in 1st person view as well, probably easier to spawn in 1st person. DrDetroit

Try reducing your vehicle.img file by using low poly cars, and try removing ELS for testing purposes. Of course, this assumes you modded up your cop cars and using ELS. Also, remove all additional scripts and see how it runs. Reduce your draw distance and vehicle density in the in-game graphics settings. Then if it runs well enough to enjoy it, add one mod at a time and run the game for awhile. This way you know what is causing issues. Ex: Some models of cars will just crash your game. I'll add a new CVPI and every now and then it will just crash my game (bad model, bad code, bad mapping...who knows). When I remove it, all is well again. If I had added 3-cars and a few scripts at once, without testing each mod, I'd have no idea what the issue is and probably difficult to track down between all the mods added at the same time. EDIT: may help with barrier issue. If your pushing your 'puter hard, you may experience extras that will not spawn. Always a good idea to reduce vehicle.img, remove scripts and reduce graphic settings, run the game for a while, to see if the base install is working fine to begin with. Good luck! DrDetroit

In Michigan it's legal to have a concealed weapon, as long as your licensed to carry, which is easy to get in this state, as long as no criminal record. Of course I'm clean, not even a drunk driving...nothing. The only time I pulled it out, is when some yahoo ran up to my car with a hammer, while I was headed to work. I put the weapon on my lap, locked and loaded. When he approached my car, he seen the big assed .45 Colt, and turned around and ran off. I used to work for a title co in the mid-nineties, so I was all over the city of Detroit during those days. It's truly a shithole in the D, very dangerous, don't let anybody tell you different. Only the New Center, Marshes Park, Comerica park and Greektown (kind of) areas are OK. BTW: I don't live in Detroit, thank god! I'm in Birmingham, very wealthy part of the Detroit northern suburbs, where you can leave your doors unlocked and enjoy a nice walk into downtown Birmingham at anytime of day or night without worry. Just use to spend time in the hood when I was a young buck. DrDetroit

Bohan is a parody of the Bronx, as Unreal pointed out. That is a very very bad area from what the chauffeurs have stated when I've been to NYC. None would even drive through the Bronx during the day even. Detroit's pretty bad. My buddy lived at Mound/7mile in the mid-nineties, and when I'd go over there, I'd have my .45 at all times, and my buddy would be patrolling his yard with his 870 Remington, chasing dudes out of his garage constantly. One night, we were outside and there was a gun fight one street over, for about 3-minutes straight. Funny thing, we didn't hear any cop sirens for about 2-hours after that. Look for DSF models (Driver San Francisco), those are low poly cars and pretty decent detail. Many of which are located in the download section of this site. BxBugg's cars are high poly, you may want to stay clear of those. There are some nice GTAV cop cars just released at GTA4-mods.com, not cvpi but pretty cool and very low poly counts. DrDetroit

I don't mind it except for the fact they spy on the citizenry, which is illegal and violates several US laws including the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution, just to name one. And for the dope whom thinks Germany, of all places, has a "better democracy" than the US...haa haa haa. I don't know what metric by which you make that statement.
