Andartu got a reaction from Albo1125 in CLOSE NEARBY ROADS making all traffic disappear??This! I actually never had/have problems with traffic during a stop. Mimic and/or follow brings us always in a safe place. And if you know the streets and highways (so the map) you know where the places for the best stopping possibilities are.

It would be really nice if the INI file had keybinding options for all the LSPDFR interactions - backup, radio menu, arrest interaction, etc. For most cases the defaults make sense, but there are times when it would be desirable to change the keybindings - for example, left-handed players, or to allow different plugins to use those keys. It should be easy enough to implement; almost every plugin/mod has an option in the INI file to change the keybindings.

Andartu reacted to DLM3 in Cannot use "E" key AKA cannot stop pedsDoesn't change the fact that half the time, holding E does nothing. Arresting someone (with a weapon, since you can't use E) usually fixes it.

Andartu got a reaction from Synthacrat in Suspect's Unpredictable ScriptTrue. As soon as the "loading bar" for an arrest is full the thing is safe. No resisit after this anymore for sure.

Andartu reacted to Albo1125 in Pursuit police AI has not improvedSeems someone has beaten me to putting improved AI out! This one isn't for RPH though so if people would like it on RPH I'll see what I can do.
https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/safer-chases-for-lspdfr
@Sam @LMSthey've also published the source code if you check the description. Would be great if something similar could make it to the next lspdfr version.

Would this be something that could be controllable via an INI file, perhaps?
Personally, I haven't noticed any problems, but I haven't been able to just sit down and play lately because I've been so busy developing on my plugins.
I don't mind the AI traffic on T-stops, actually. If it gets too crazy, I just use my Traffic Control plugin to slow them down. That usually makes them pretty calm.

Andartu reacted to Steele1925 in Traffic DisappearingNo worries folks, the devs have already said they are without a doubt reading these pages, and I'm sure they're busy with A LOT of small fixes here and there for their next hotfix. I'm sure they'll well aware of this, and they never meant to give people a bad experience. They were trying to help with people being run over by GTA's illogical AI, and this feature was a "Swing and a Miss". They'll get it .
That having been said... If only Albo was on the Dev team

Andartu reacted to thecovesf in Traffic DisappearingSame thing here. I'm running barebones LSPDFR 0.3 too.
I notice that the moment you initiate a traffic stop, any traffic around you going in the same direction stays on screen but traffic behind that disappears. In some instances, you can see the headlights distance vanish.
In some instances they will turn around and the first available place to do so.
This doesn't always happens to opposite direction traffic but when it does, they are making a u turn at the first opportunity.
The moment the traffic stop is ended with one of the following: 1. you issue a citation / warning; 2. you make an arrest 3. you begin a pursuit, the traffic patterns return to normal.
I agree with earlier poster that this is way over the top to help players prevent traffic jams or other accidents during a traffic stop. Having traffic going by you during should remain part of the game.

Andartu got a reaction from TheUniT in Tone down default backup?Like Kilyin i am with DLM3 too.
The thing is that the backup not should be toned down by default, it just would be cool to give the player the option to customize it the way he likes it^^
Before in 0.2b we had 100% control over the backup. Not anymore. And we are the player in this game. Nearly every mod creator gives you essential options via an .ini.
For example: If want i can set in Albo´s Traffic Policer the drunk driver event to zero. Then i decide to not use Breathalyzer. So there i am....in my little world people who drink and drive are non existent. Because i want it so in this case. Its my decision.
And now if i want to catch this evil dude in a pursuit only by myself to give me a challenge, then it is so. Its my decision. In my litle world in my sinlge player game where nobody else get hurt by my changes in my .ini or backup.xml or whatever^^ Maybe its unrealistic, so what. Its unrealistic that there are no drunken drivers, but i am able to do this. And thats great.
This is no blame! No salt!^^ Just a suggestion and a wish i think several players of LSPDFR have for 0.3.
Really thank you for LSPDFR.... a great and the main thing in my gaming atm. So please be with the players who made this so big :)

Andartu got a reaction from greenman in Traffic DisappearingYeah this is kinda weird and "a bit" over the top. I do not use the new "close roads" feature. I stick with traffic control. Much nicer cause you could slow down the traffic aswell.
I´ve figuered out, that as soon you ask the driver to leave the vehicle, the traffic is back.
But really, this dead world thing suddenly is....

Andartu reacted to DLM3 in Tone down default backup?I don't want to sound like I am complaining but I personally find that the bunch of units joining in a pursuit right at the start takes away all the fun. Most suspects don't even get the chance to go far and pursuits quickly come to an end. Heck as a player you don't even have to do anything, I went into a Maverick out of curiosity and was watching things unfold: you don't even need to play, you get a callout, you accept it and then you just watch over a dozen of officers taking care of the situation in less than 1 minute.
That's a thing, as a player, that we should be able to control. So I really hope that it is something that will be looked at and tweaked. Starting a callout with one unit already in pursuit is fine, then let us decide if we want backup but please don't let the game play for us

Andartu reacted to The Loot in [Feedback] Pursuit Backup Spawn LocationsThey definitely spawn too close many times, even if it's because they're the first to be called. Also, I wonder if ambient spawned officers that join count towards that system or not.
All units could use a larger distance and delay, too, especially SWAT and Air units.
-
Andartu reacted to TAR4C in [Feedback] Pursuit Backup Spawn LocationsI played for several hours last night and today. Backup is always spawning either in front of the suspect I chase, to cut their way off, or (when I am further away) almost directly on its position. I don't know why that is the case. When I order more than around 5 backup units it starts to spread a little bit but the units are very quick at the position they need to be.
I think the previous version of the spawning system was much more realistic...though I think it's just a bug at the moment and I can definetly see your AI improvements!
I hope that gets addressed because after that we have a very solid system here :)

Andartu reacted to liberto in [Feedback] Pursuit Backup Spawn LocationsI prefer the current one to be honnest. Of course it needs a little adjustement, but I was really tired of calling 30 backups in a 20mins chase, and only saw 2 of them.
Anyway, it seems like they spawn a bit further after having multiple units, but it's not really far off.
On a slight off-topic (but kinda related nonetheless): I find new cop AI to be much more aggressive than before. They behave much better in regards to my car, but they are ramming almost every civilian on the way
-
I agree. As soon as the pursuit was initiated I had 2 LEOs fly around me lol. Auto back is great but, kinda takes the challenge away for me. Sometimes I would before just try and take down the suspect solo with maybe air support or one additional unit.

Andartu reacted to Stealth22 in do i have to uninstall callouts for 0.3 vSame here. A lot of stuff behind the scenes has changed, so Code 3 Callouts, and probably Traffic Control and Keep Calm as well, are going to break.
Like Albo, I will be updating them as soon as possible.

Andartu reacted to Canelo in do i have to uninstall callouts for 0.3 vI think it's better to keep playing 0.2b with all the plugins until all these stuff get updated.
