  1. It would really help people out if you posted your PC Specs
  2. I doubt anyone will read back this far, but has anyone got a emerglights_dashie file for a red/blue RX2700? When I try changing it, it turns all blue.
  3. I was referring to these articles here, which are new real life options for 2014: http://www.policemag.com/channel/vehicles/news/2013/08/21/ford-turbo-charges-p-i-utility.aspx http://www.policemag.com/channel/vehicles/news/2013/06/13/chrysler-introduces-awd-police-charger-for-2014.aspx
  4. That's OK of course. I was referring to in public, since that is where disputes about open carry occur, not in the middle of the woods.
  5. And if you're the first dead guy, all it does is give the bad guy another gun. For your circumstances, I support you open carrying, because it's the only way you can legally defend yourself with a gun outside of your home. However, it does make people targets by more hardened criminals. Look at these stories for example: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/police/reports/reports2006/073106robnewtonpatton.htm http://www.clipsyndicate.com/video/play/1506862/open_carry_gun_enthusiast_robbed_at_gunpoint http://www.620wtmj.com/news/local/95999354.html?lc=Smart I commend your willingness to take your safety into your own hands though. Stay safe.
  6. The only people that should open carry are police officers, military (primarily because concealed carry is punishable by execution from the Geneva Accords), security guards and gun shop employees (since it's expected for them to be armed since they are what keeps hundreds of guns from being stolen). All of those people are expected to be armed, so concealed carry does nothing to benefit them unless it is a backup weapon. Anyone who open carries in public is putting themselves at a greater risk of being robbed at gunpoint (unless in a large group) and will be the first target should some one start shooting. However, I support their right to be idiots as long as their gun is carried safely. I could see some one open carrying as reasonable if the state/area is restrictive about issuing concealed carry permits, but concealed carry makes more sense for anyone not expected to be armed.

  10. Read this thread:'?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> MODERATOR NOTICE Moved to GTA IV Support It really doesn't take much effort to look for vehicles you like. I do it all the time, including importing skins. Excluding download times, it takes about 20 minutes to take care of importing the models, modifying the textures, editing handling lines, ELS settings and vehicle.ide files (If I do something odd, like a sedan for polpatriot or vice-versa). It will also be much faster than waiting for someone to make and then upload a pack for you, if they do it at all. I would suggest starting here for your search: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  11. Now that there are some new versions of the next-gen vehicles coming out, do you think you could make handling lines for the AWD Dodge charger and the EcoBoost Ford Interceptors?

  13. This would probably be pretty simple since all that would have to be done is utilizing the pursuit system, but a manhunt would be pretty cool. Have a suspect hiding in a random area, and have various officers responding utilizing the pursuit function look for him. Another thing that would be fairly simple is a callout to a foot pursuit, since in real life, those rarely suddenly appear next to an officer in a car and foot pursuits occur more often than vehicle pursuits.
  14. Glock 32 or a 33. .357 Sig far surpasses any other semi-automatic handgun round in terms of ballistics, and with a barrel swap, you can shoot .40 to save money (just be sure to swap the barrels back before loading the wrong ammo). Or you could get a 22 or a 23 and get the .357 sig barrel.
  15. And in the past, people were given verbal warnings in the comments section, only for them to continue on another image. When they had to be verbally warned several times on several different images, they were given a formal PM. The harshest action I recall ever taken against anyone before Sam's announcement 2 days ago was a formal warning, which is just a pop up screen that forces an acknowledgement of wrongdoing before being able to use this site. The topic wasn't ignored. There was a thread from October that was already linked to, with the only reply to it being a picture message making fun of the topic. Many of the people still complaining about this site +1'd that post, instead of offering feedback on how we could improve. Also, all modders are treated equally. If a modder decides to flame people, they'll be given the same punishment as a non-modder who flames that same person. The only time when the punishment differs for the same offense is when some one has been told repeatedly before, but continues to do the same action.
  16. Adding on to what I said on GPM, this is the first generic pack I've used in at least a year. Really nice job!
  17. And it has been repeatedly told to you and others in various private messages that using this site for the sole purpose of an advertisement tool for your own website is not allowed, but it has been repeatedly ignored. People who post their work on other sites have been able to comply with this without issue.
  18. Yes. I have 3 or 4 different GTA 4s with various agency setups. The only thing is that you need to go to the individual folder and click on "LaunchGTAIV" instead of using a desktop icon.
  19. No one was sanctioned "harshly" for actions that occurred before the public announcement made by Sam. And of the image in question relating to deco and JokerMods, as well as previous accusations against the provoker the past week (I did not say months), all of the mods were available publicly and were shown with only texture changes, but accusations of theft still ran wild. I'm sure you recognize your car with a texture change on the wheel in this picture: http://www.lcpdfr.com/gallery/image/27328-oh-lord-jesus-its-a-fahr/ Do you expect Sam and LMS to bug test by themselves? There were over 500 bugs and improvements reported, after it was thoroughly tested by as many available testers as possible over 6 months. While 7 of the 8 testers were on the Community Team, that's because most of the testers have been inactive for years. And even with our best efforts, while still trying to maintain order on the site that was made more difficult by the issues Sam already addressed, there were still bugs none of us had a clue about. You forgot this part:
  20. MODERATOR NOTICE Moved to Development Suggestionst and Requests
  21. Because a majority of the people Sam addressed in his post were told to report it multiple times instead of making public accusations.

  24. So what would you have done after repeatedly warning some one who is holding two deadly weapons and approaching you to back off and put the weapons down? There are 4 possibilities to this: 1. Taser him, but it might not effect him, leaving you with a useless club and him with 2 knives. 2. Back out of the house, possibly giving the suspect time to barricade himself and grab a gun. 3. Do nothing, hope he doesn't try to kill you. 4. Shoot to incapacitate. Keep in mind that today, there is not a single police department in the US, or probably the world for that matter, that trains cops to shoot to wound.
