The problem with the logic of most people on this thread is that they are trusting people who have not just broken a law, but the supreme law of the land, to enforce laws and to protect them. To me, the very core of this debate is that the government is getting a pass to break the law, simply because of an illusion of "public safety." Being that the government is the entity that arrests, processes, fines, imprisons and kills people for breaking the law, the government should set an example by following the law at all times.

I suggest removing the Traffic Advisor, since very few police departments in real life use them compared to the amount of GTA 4 car mods that have them. I would also remove the dash lights, and replace them with mirror lights, since again, most PDs have used mirror lights instead of those. But, ultimately, it's your car so it's up to you.

Just import a black CVPI skin over the textures using SparkIV or OpenIV. Because a plain texture is so easy to do, you'll only find them in skin packs.

Am I the only one who thinks the OP's friend is just making it up? If not, having even a look-alike gun at school is punishable by long term suspension/expulsion.

I highly doubt a court would be willing to hear a case over 3rd party models in a video game.

It actually first appeared on the demo Ford Taurus and Explorer. A few PDs in the US are now using similar themes.

I tried it out on the beta. It really isn't anything impressive, especially compared to Battlefield 3. I feel like Battlefield has turned into another Call of Duty, but with an even farther fetched ridiculous idea.

That APC was an FBI vehicle. You can tell it's not NYPD because under state law, they are not allowed to have blue lights on the front of the vehicle. They are also the only agency I know of that uses that specific vehicle:http://www.fbi.gov/cincinnati/image/mrap.jpg/image_view_fullscreen As far as the auxilary crown vic, the closest you will find is an LAPD crown vic, but you would need to change the arjent to red/red (it only takes a texture change) and it would be missing rear interior lighting, grill lights and a pushbar.

Because until very recently, ELS and LCPDFR were worked on by completely separate people. And then there's the fact that not everyone wants to use ELS, and it would ruin LCPDFR for them.
