You want me or others to believe in global warming? Show me accurate predictions of doom. Until then, the only purpose of continuing the global warming, I'm sorry, "climate change" as it is now called, is for more money for the scientists, a quick way into the scientific spotlight for making yet another paper on how the Earth is flat, and an excuse for more taxes.

I didn't say climate change was about heating up the Earth. I said the rhetoric that has existed has constantly changed, from "global warming" to "climate change" now. There is no proof that we have an effect on climate change. Yes, shifts in typical weather are normal, that is called weather. It changes constantly. That's how the Earth went from tropics to an ice age over time. Some seasons are more active than others. 10 years ago, there were winters with almost no snow in my area. There were also winters in that same time period with several blizzards and a few ice storms. Why are the ice caps melting on Mars? Should the humans up there stop sending CO2 into the atmosphere? Pollution in the atmosphere has failed to be linked to global warming. Rising prices is caused by inflation of all currencies, mainly due to the arbitrary value of money. It is also caused by lessening resources, which this isn't about. They've been saying "we'll tell you so" for the last 50 years. Nothing they have predicted has come true. There's still snow falling, ice caps are increasing, and, much like it has been over the last 2000 years since the last Ice Age ended, the Earth has been gradually getting warmer without any drastic uptake since the industrial age. I still fail to see the logic in creating an economic collapse just to see if "scientists" that have been wrong for the last 50 years are suddenly right.

And in the US, we got one of the coldest winters on record and heavier than usual snow. Right now temperatures in my area have been at the low 60's for the last week. This is despite an average temperature of about 85 degrees Fahrenheit for this time of year. This is despite being lectured several years ago on how "snow is a thing of the past," "the ice caps are melting" (despite growing by 50% in 2013) and that global "warming" is happening. I've noticed something odd with the media. Ever since it got really cold in the United States, any time the subject is mentioned it has had its name changed to "Climate Change" instead of the failed "Global Warming" prediction. That UN statement was made, and we've drastically increased the amount of CO2 into the atmosphere since then, thus, coastal areas should have been wiped out before 2000. The temperature has gone up by a whopping .1 degree 25 years since then. Again, we've invested billions into research. It has been skewed statistics, no solution and more money for those researching it. The entire investment is based on a theory that has failed, for the last 25 years, to pan out. If you were making tens of thousands of dollars a year researching something that doesn't exist, would you stop or continue to say it exists to get more funding? That money could be spent fixing the infrastructure, which is desperately needed, invested in medicine or nation building. Instead, it is being spent by politicians looking for more control over the every day man and scientists looking for money.

There's a difference between using up all of the planet's resources and the UN predicting that all coastal areas will be flooded by the year 2000 due to climate change. Quite frankly, if weather forecasts for the next week aren't accurate, we shouldn't invest billions into science that has made thousands of wrong doom predictions since the 1960's.

Man Made Climate Change-The idea that out of 4,540,000,000 years, on a planet that has gone from a sea of lava to worldwide tropics to multiple ice ages, research over 30 years, or .00000000660792952% of the time, has indicated that the activities of humans in about 200 years since industrialization, or .0000000440528634% of the time of Earth's life, have caused the temperature to increase by one degree. Oh, and the sky is falling because of that.

Why should they just be fired? They should be charged with the crime they committed and given the maximum penalty, as they were granted the power to investigate and enforce the law they broke. Take this story for instance. Philadelphia police robbing stores using search warrants that were issued based on known lies for "drug paraphernalia" (small unused baggies, which are legal, otherwise they wouldn't be manufactured). Despite dozens of complaints and a video of the cops cutting the surveillance system, almost all of the cops suspected have been on desk duty for the last few years making $60,000 without overtime, and almost no follow up investigation from the FBI probe. Or there are all the inexcusable shootings of pets. This just happened a few days ago. If some one goes into a backyard that doesn't belong to him/her, then that person has no excuse to shoot a dog in that backyard. To rub salt in his wound, they followed that by arresting the owner.

Cops in my area train that when backup is available when some one has a melee weapon, there will be about a 50/50 ratio of cops aiming handguns and cops aiming less than lethal options like beanbag shotguns or tasers. Additionally, due to the NYPD's atrocious trigger weights (12 lbs to pull the trigger compared to 5.5 lbs on a standard glock), it makes shots more jerkier and more likely to miss, which is a big contributing factor whenever the NYPD shoots bystanders or other cops while shooting at a suspect. A taser when deployed in conjunction with officers using lethals would have been the perfect scenario for this incident, though not likely because of the expense and negative press giving more NYPD cops tasers would have.
