I've had this pre-ordered since it was announced for PC.. just 12-13 hours from now and i'll have the retail version box on my desk and the disc in my DVD drive to install on my PC.. It'll take a long time.. Far Cry 4 had 3 discs, CoD:AW had 6 discs.. yeah GTA V will have a lot of discs.. should've gotten Steam version.. I didn't get it because of a 200gb monthly download limit.. but then Telstra (our phone/internet company) bumped it to 500gb per month at no extra cost a few days ago =/ Nice timing Telstra.. Nice timing.

Unless you plan on spending a thousand dollars on a proper gaming laptop.. then stick with a desktop, non gaming laptops aren't designed for gaming.. their purpose is office use, so chances are games like GTA V will either run poorly or not at all. If you want a proper gaming laptop then MSI,ASUS and Razer are your best bets.. however i'd stick with a desktop PC as it has better cooling and if needed you can upgrade parts quite easily.

Well my choice is sort of difficult. Some departments have these as sworn members, others just have them as civilian staff.. But i'd like to be part of the CSI/Forensic team. (which i actually plan to do IRL). if that isn't an option.. then just your standard patrol unit (General Duties known here in Aus).

By looking at the video.. it's definitely not the GTA V peds, it'll be the first link AlexSeidel gave (YCHoP High Quality NYPD Officers) EDIT: Actually looking at the video further, it looks like both links AlexSeidel gave are correct, However he uses the GTA V version peds as a security the guard, the peds he is playing as are the YCHoP High Quality NYPD Officers.

I really don't think they have a most prefered vehicle. Although from YouTube vehicles the CVPI, Impala, Charger and their SUV's seem like they're their most used vehicles, then again i think it's all about where they're located, Some boroughs might use vehicles more than others. The list cp702 listed seems pretty accurate with videos i've seen on YouTube featuring the NYPD.

Just google "GTA 4 NYPD Crown Vic" There's heaps been made.. just look for it, also if you don't want to look through the 319 pages in the downloads section.. use the search feature it'll be easier

Judging by that, my guess is you're using an outdated AdvancedHook.dll which was for 0.95, download the manual install of LCPD:FR 1.1 (current version of LCPD:FR) and replace the AdvancedHook.dll file in your directory with the one in the download =)

The only shows i've seen is Law and Order SVU (both my parents and my sister watches it), and from my thoughts on SVU i think he knows what he is doing. Most police shows are way over the top and they do things most cops don't do... Like for example CSI:Las Vegas, Real life CSI doesn't do half of what they do on the show.. they don't interrogate suspects, they're not expets in all the fields.. and it certainly doesn't take 5 minutes for a DNA match to come back. But with SVU they have actually made it realistic. I think they're the only police show that has actually potrayed a division realistically.

That's the exact same video i watched, which led me to putting it on my wishlist. Pretty much everyone creates textures for free, i have never seen anyone being paid for making textures. Submit a request on the Forums (the link GTAIVCode3 supplied) and wait until someone is willing to make it! =)

Got to YouTube and watch a few gameplay videos of it and see if you like it.. It's a bit like the new Sim City but a lot better, Honestly if you like city builders then i'd reccommend it and i haven't even played it yet (it's on my Steam wishlist while i get money) =)

I've actually just finished Season 1 again.. Been getting into it again since i have no other TV Shows to watch at the moment. I love the realism.. and the fact they used real gang members for the part of gang members and real police officers as extras.

my favourite(s) would have to be either the Premier Hazard siren and the LTS siren (both Australian variants)

ELS is a script mod, it doesn't need system requirements.. generally if your computer can run GTA IV then it can run script mods. people who use ELS use modded cars.. so it's most likely the cars you're using are causing the crash.. not ELS itself. To minimize the crashing, don't use high poly car mods.. and turn ELS off for AI controlled vehicles =)

Your graphics card is either at or more than 2gb VRAM. which is why it's not letting you change it, simply add "-nomemrestrictions" to your commandline.txt and it should fix your problem =)

The only cars i have come across that is owned by CHSP that use the red and white lightbar are a 2003 Chevy Impala and a 2006 Chevy Impala.. Which have most likely changed their lightbar lense colour since the rest have full orange or orange and white. The license plate thing.. is most likely taken off for photos (i've seen a few pics where they've taken them off in photos), whether they take them off while on patrol i don't know as i don't live in NY. Plus everyone illegally parks.. everywhere in the world you'll find someone illegally parking.. So it's not exactly abuse of powers.

I've read a few posts about these people. Judging by their FaceBook page they were founded in 1964. So they must be doing something right to be going this long without the police shutting them down. They're just like Auxillary officers of the NYPD.. they just aren't with the NYPD. They're a community watch group who watch the community. Do they need the fancy livery on their cars? probably not.. but the NYPD hasn't shut them down yet so they must be ok with it. Plus it's not a big deal if they use lightbars, Heaps of organizations use lightbars, it's just the colours that matter. if you're using red and blue lights and you're not part of emergency services.. then that'll be a worry, if it's other lights like yellow, orange, green etc then there is no problem. They saved an officers life in 1998, they've helped located dozens of missing people. They're doing more good than harm.. so honestly there isn't anything to worry about.

I doubt we'll need an ENB for GTA V, Someone might make one. GTA IV was next gen back in 2008 and there are ENB mods for that. And as for a Snow Mod.. it wouldn't be that hard since GTA V already had snow (Christmas 2014 featured Los Santos being covered in Snow). Both mods are a possibility, who knows what people will create for GTA V =)

Honestly, something other than New South Wales or Victoria police.. there is so many textures of them around. You should have a look around modding sites and see textures are rare or haven't been done and then do them =)

I heard about it a few hours after it happened. I wasn't much of a Star Trek fan, However it occasionally airs here at 3am-4am and i sit down and watch it. Only saw Spock a few times, but he was a great actor. Sadly this is the type of stuff smoking causes (he COD was Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and not of a Heart Attack what the OP stated). This just goes to show that even if you quit smoking a long time ago.. it'll still affect your life in the future. Not sure if anyone else posted this. But members of the Star Trek Online game gathered on Vulcan to pay their respects to Leonard Nimoy, which shows how much of an impact he made in the TV industry. He surely won't be forgotten!
