FCRP ended a couple years ago, i used to play on that server everyday. loved it, it was great fun. Shame it close down though. hopefully it'll return one day =)

So, i'm fairly new to modding GTA V so please bare with me as i've only started doing it for the past 2-3 days. My problem isn't with script mods, those work perfectly. my problem is with texture mods. i recently downloaded the Sheriff Granger texture (all white to replace the Black and White version), I install it and it shows up in OpenV, however when i close out of it and load up GTA V it gets to the launcher and starts downloading a 2gb update and replaces the modified files with fresh vanilla ones (presumably a security measure implemented by Rockstar to stop modding). My question is, is there a way to modify GTA V textures and get past the "update" without disconnecting my internet connection and playing offline? Also, on the topic of V modding, has there been a texture mod released for the Vapid Interceptor to get rid of the POLICE on the doors and replace it with the tecture of the police buffalo and Stanier?

Documents - Rockstar Games - GTA V - Profiles. I believe that's where your save game(s) are located. If it's like the save game system from the 3D era then just copy it to a USB or HDD (or somewhere else into your computer) and add it back in when you reinstall, then your save game should still be there. However a reinstall shouldn't remove your save games. it hasn't done it for any previous GTA game so i don't see why it shouldn't (i haven't tried it myself since i haven't needed to reinstall it)

Most if not all of The Bill cars have been created by DoubleDoppler, although it's not in a pack.. you'll have to download them separately. (i also believe he made a siren that was used on the show aswell).

Welcome to the community =) people play multiplayer so it's not that hard to find a group to play.. there was a multiplayer thread where people could say they're going online and are looking for player, however that has vanished or i'm just blind. YOu can also look around in peoples pages and signatures as they normally put clan-ads there, although they're banned from being put into a topic.. they're allowed within the signature or profile page. Although i don't recommend going online as if everyone doesn't have the same mods.. it can cause crashes which can be a pain. still, it won't hurt to look around for clans or people to join you =)

Do you get the GTA V splash screen? Basically a the box art that comes up onto the screen for a few seconds then dissapears? If so go your task manager ( Ctrl + Alt + Del - Start Task Manager) click on processes and find GTAVLauncher click on it and click end process. after that click play on GTA V and it should launch.

For me personally i see no difference, however many people have said that modding wise EFLC is more stable. EFLC also gives you 3 more police car slots (that being the police buffalo, police stinger and police bike). You can buy both as a Complete Edition on Steam for cheap. So that way you can try it out for yourself. I should also add that with EFLC the whole entire island is unlocked from the start, so unlike GTA IV you don't have to do missions to unlock the map.

Yeah i believe they have changed it the LSHP, While messing around in game i find myself driving past police stations and i'll see the police bikes parked alongside police cars. Not sure why as it would've been better as SAHP. I've also noticed that the Police Buffalo has alo had a new paintjob, switching from the crappy Police interceptor style paintjob with the LSPD badge on the hood, to the Vapid Stanier style paintjob.. i have also noticed police cars spawning in traffic and sometimes parked up on the side of the road with officers at a building nearby talking and taking notes. all of which was never in the PS3 version so by the looks of things Rockstar has changed a whole lot of things for the LSPD/SAPD

It really depends on your preference.. If you can, i'd go with Steam as it's easier to access and you have the overaly. Although like the pictures posted above.. the retail copy does look beautiful even with 7 discs. The only problem with having a retail copy is the fact that it comes with a large box.. its the size of 2-3 regular sized PC games. Just as a warning.. at the current time you can't add the retail copy to Steam as a non-steam game.. not sure if there is a fix other than the shady .exe file but once you add it to your steam library as a non steam game.. it won't boot up. All in all.. if you want a beautiful box and disc art then go with the retail.. if you want Steam overlay.. go with the steam version.

Someone close to a Rockstar Games Dev released it? idk how games get leaked before their release.. Most likely the same way GTA V prologue go leaked and posted on YouTube before it's release date. Plus some of the people commenting that it works are most likely bots to get you to think it works and download it.. which then turns into a virus.

6 hours it took to install and download updates.. 3 for the game and 3 for the updates.. I've played a few missions and good god it looks amazing =) 1080p, 60fps and everything on either high or very high... my PS3 version is just going to get dusty on my shelf because i'm never going back to it.

Interesting.. I'll have to check it out when i get my copy tomorrow.. Normally downloading games is a lot less time than installing from a disc for some reason. so if i can download it from RGSC then i'll be happy =)
