  1. I have the buffalo in the NOoSE cruiser slot and used the FIB handling line so it should work fine.
  2. No handling lines have been made, I've been using Yard1's LSPD ELS V8 car pack for a day now and there is no problems with the handling, the only problem i have found is the handling for the Stanier is a bit drifty when using the vanilla handling lines. That being said the Stanier can be fixed using a Crown Vic handling line by Sgt.Kanyo. As for the rest, the vanilla handling lines should work fine.
  3. I can help with your RAM question. The RAM from your last PC should work in your new PC, However you need to make sure your motherboard can handle that type of RAM. So for example if your current RAM is 1866MHz DDR3 and your motherboard only supports the 1600MHz range of DDR3 RAM then it won't work. However if you have RAM that is 1866MHz DDr3 and your motherboard supports 1866MHz DDR3 RAM then it will work =) Just check what MHz your RAM is and google your current motherboard to see if it's compatible.
  4. - There is a link to download it in the description.
  5. the not enough memory occurs quite often to people using mods (i get that error all the time when i quit the game), it's nothing to be worried about.
  6. Disable your anti-virus then download LCPD:FR. Most AV programs recognize LCPD:FR as a virus/trojan because of a certain file or program that is in the download. It's just a false-positive. Disabling your AV before downloading should fix this problem, or if it allows.. make an exception
  7. It all depends on the situation. If woman does something the man doesn't like and he beats her up... then i'm against that, and if i saw a guy doing that, then i'll put him on the floor in a heart beat. If the woman is being crazy and starts throwing punches at the man, or attacks him with the weapon.. then i say the man has every right to defend himself, if that means punching her in the face.. then go for it. if the man is in no danger by the woman then he shouldn't lay a finger on her, if he is in danger and scared for hsi life.. then he has to do whatever it takes to stop it.
  8. Download the manual installer of LCPD:FR and grab it from that. Although from my knowledge there is no such thing as AdvancedHook.asi, only .dll. Are you after AdvancedHookInit.asi?
  9. For us to help you, you'll need to provide us with a more detailed description of what your issue is.
  10. Also, you're running two ASI loaders.. Which can cause problems. You only need to use one. So remove either dsound.dll or xlive.dll
  11. I'm not sure if this model has ever been made... I could be wrong though. You can look through the Australian Emergency Textures thread of GPM, I have seen a few fire trucks throughout the thread.
  12. Replacing your laptop is needed. to run GTA IV and LCPD:FR decently, your whole specs need upgrading. Preferably something with 2gb VRAM (with a modern graphics card), 8gb RAM and a new CPU might be needed (i have little knowledge on CPU). If you want to buy a new laptop, tell us your budget and i'm sure people will be able to give you a few laptop choices you can choose from so you can have the best LCPD:FR experience =) Keep in mind that laptops aren't the best for gaming (unless it's a laptop designed for gaming), Laptops were originally designed for home/office work and internet browsing (hence why your current laptop has poor specs). If you just want a laptop for GTA IV then there are a few that can do the job.. however if you want one for gaming in general and don't want to pay $1000+ for a gaming laptop, i do suggest you get a desktop computer =)
  13. When i was a kid up until 12 months ago i wanted to be a Police Officer. Now i'm working towards being a CSI.. so my career path hasn't changed that much, still working in the Law Enforcement field just with a different job.
  14. I barely mod games, The only games i have ever modded were The Sims 3 or GTA (SA and IV). However from my experience, mods are an advantage.. then again it depends on what you mod and how you use them. if you're modding to get an advantage in online multiplayer then that is just lame.. Those type of mods shouldn't exist since they just ruin the fun completely. With mods that alter single player, they can be fun.. LCPD:FR, Zombie, Carmageddon, Tsunami mods etc THOSE mods what make the vanilla game better!
  15. Nope, that's normal with the peds. You shoot them wit a taser, they do a drunk animation and fall over, they get back up and run. which is why you should shoot them once or twice, aim at them and spam E so they don't run away. It's because once their animation timer ends they'll continue on as if they weren't shot/did the animation =)
  16. I'm not sure you can do that type on control scheme, However you can try to do it yourself as LCPD:FR 1.0 features customizable keybinds, so you can edit the keys to suit your fancy! Also, withe tazers they don't KO suspects, they shock the suspect to tighten up every muscle so the suspect can lose control and basically fall to the ground giving the officers time to subdue them. If you shoot them with a taser normally they should start moving around as if they're drunk (they use the drunk animation i believe) and quite possibly fall to the ground. once that happens you can press E to arrest them.
  17. I use ENB-SFE (located here on LCPDFR.. in the download section), It runs perfect, nice natural/realistic look and with some edits to the visual settings file your ELS lights can look amazing. Most of my screenshots i've taken are using that ENB as it's now the only one i use.. so you can take a look through my gallery if you want to see what it looks like =)
  18. That is in fact the first time i watched the video, I have only read news articles on it.. and most of them have said he was aggressive, I don't see any form of aggression from Eric Garner, He was annoyed at the fact he was being stopped/harassed. There were two officers there on scene, and as soon as he got taken down a swarm of officers came rushing in. that officer should've waited another minute then taken Garner down with the appropriate use of force, a Chokehold is NOT an appropriate use of force. There was no need to take Eric Garner to the ground like that as he wasn't being hostile or a threat to the public of the officers. He was simple debating the fact that he was getting stopped far too often by the police (he states that every time they see him, they stop him). thousands of other suspects have been that way with police officers in the past and none of them were put in a chokehold and killed. Yes Eric Garner was committing a crime (selling untaxed cigarettes) NO he didn't need to be taken to ground with a chokehold. regardless of his weight, a chokehold wasn't needed. At the point where Garner stated many times he couldn't breathe.. then the officer should've let go, but he didn't that officer knew he couldn't breathe, that officer knew he was o longer a threat as there were a dozen cops helping him that could've easily outweighed Garner, he didn't appear to be high on drugs nor in an aggressive state.. yet that officer still kept the chokehold. which to me is murder. i really couldn't care what a grand jury says, the Officer is a murderer and should be put behind bars.
  19. I'm sorry, but "got what he deserved" is well.. a bit horrible. Nobody deserves to be killed over resist arrest. What he deserved was to be shot with a taser or sprayed in the face.. Not been put into a chokehold to the point he couldn't breathe and died. I don't care what type of police officer he was or where you're from.. as soon as you use excessive force on a suspect that kills him.. you don't deserve to be in the police force. You go through hours of training to subdue a suspect with appropriate force, and well the last time i checked.. A police officer isn't taught how to kill someone with a chokehold. Honestly, My side is with Garner, the police officer had a choice, and if he actually did things by the book, there wouldn't have been a dead suspect, a riot.. and the cop will still be in the job.
  20. I Would like to get married (in the far future though). The problem is that i also need to find a female, especially one that'll accept what i'll be doing for a living and doesn't start an argument over the fact i work long hours (Crime Lab hours aren't exactly that great.. because people don't kill from 9am to 5pm)
  21. Why do i see this topic just blowing up into everyones faces/causing an argument like the original topic did?
  22. Welcome to the forums =)
  23. I say grab the AMD, the rest of your build is more AMD.. The 960 only has 2gb of VRAM which the AMD has 3gb, which is pretty much needed for most games these days (anywhere from 2gb-4gb). If it was an Intel build then i'd go for the GTX, but since your build is AMD you should go with the AMD card, i haven't tried it but i read somewhere that it'll be best to have an AMD card with an AMD CPU/motherboard rather than having a GTX card with an AMD build.
  24. Valentines Day.. just another excuse of a holiday the card company came up with so they can sell cards on that day. The only good thing about it is Chocolate drops in price a little so for a single person who likes chocolate (like me) it's not that bad. Mind you.. i'd prefer sitting at home, in my room and play video games than spending hundreds of dollars on a restaurant, flowers and chocolate.
  25. If you're looking for a laptop, i'd go for either MSI or Razer as from what i have seen they make their laptops specifically for gaming, with great parts and a fairly decent price.. plus the company itself makes parts purely for gaming so i'd go to them for a gaming laptop. For the laptop you linked, i'd say go for it if you have the money, that has top notch gaming parts and will be perfect for gaming. although like stated above, it might chew through some power when gaming and it looks thick so it might be heavy (i'd send a message to MSI and ask them for their opinion on the laptop). I was actually thinking of purchasing one of these myself so in the winter i can be in the living room in heat playing games, or be on the move playing games rather than being confined to my room (where my desktop is). After some research the weight of that laptop is 3.78kgs which is roughly around the same weight as a regular laptop so.. honestly, weight shouldn't be that much of a problem.
