  1. It's a great start. Most of the nitpicks I have are mentioned above, but for the sake of bulleted lists: That's about all I can think of that I don't like. I do have two suggestions, however: So far, like I said, it's a great start, and I'm excited to see what's in store for version 0,2!
  2. ...Profane usernames... that's another story entirely.
  3. Profanity is fine in moderation, in my opinion - sometimes it can be used as a spicy sentence enhancer. Take the sentence "You've gotta be kidding" - simple phrase, really. Something you'd hear when someone says something outlandish, maybe? Doesn't carry much weight, however. Now take the sentence "you've gotta be fucking kidding" - the simple inclusion of the F-bomb adds a bit of dramatic weight to the sentence, implying that something just happened which has the person saying it annoyed or scared. However, it needs to be used in moderation - quantity is not better than quality. I'd post an example here but I think ineseri would have issue with me cranking the profanity levels up past eleven.
  4. Something to replace.... what the hell that PMP600 is that they call the Windsor with the actual Windsor.
  5. At 2:15, I think that's The Sound of Teenagers With Rice-Burner And/Or Overpowered Sports Cars.
  6. [citation needed] Either way you slice it, I'm fine with letting the Patriot Act expire.
  7. I was afraid it'd be separate channels. I know what's going on now. Your headphones are picking up channels A and B (left and right) but they're either not picking up or not having a signal sent to the C, D, E, or F channels.. Not many things will support that many audio channels (stereo's still the standard these days) so only things which support 6 channels will play through all six speakers.
  8. I'll make an audio test wavefile for ya. Give me a few minutes. Will edit in when done. Edit: Done. 20, 50, 100, 250, 440, 750, 1000, 2500, 5000 Hz samples each at -4 dBFS for 0.8 seconds, with 0.2 seconds of silence between. Left channel, then right channel. Spectrograph in spoiler, if you want to see what tones it'll do for yourself. You should know that the last two tones may be considered painful by some to listen to, though. audiotest.wav
  9. It's possible to change them to what you wish as it is, though. The relevant files are in /LCPDFR/Audio/PoliceScanner/ and are RANDOMCHAT_01.wav through RANDOMCHAT_08.wav. If you don't want the random police radio chatter there, remove them; if you'd like them to be something different, replace them.
  10. To use ELS, you need ELS-enabled vehicles. Vanilla vehicles are incompatible, literally the only thing that will happen is the lightbar and rambar will start to flicker in and out of existence.
  11. Force-of-habit typo, meant 3.6 GHz (I always type it as 3600 MHz). My mistake. Point still stands.
  12. Dual cores does not equal dual speed, it just means that the processor can stand more tasks at once. I was having trouble running LCPDFR on a 3.6MHz QUAD-core processor - you're going to have hell running it on dual-core.
  13. Happy 30th, man! You've done quite a bit, it seems... One of these days I'm gonna have to catch you in the "play LCPDFR MP" thread, haha. (That or see if I can't get a repeat instance of the error on the script I reported... I haven't played LCPDFR much lately)
  14. It sounds like a Whelen Alpha with a heavy Doppler effect. The best quality comparison I can find is a DoubleDoppler (pun unintentional) mod preview video of one, though.
  15. I've posted a PSA to a couple of subReddits now, let's hope that everyone has the sense to read it. Laziness saved my life, if I weren't too lazy to swap out RPFs I'd have probably fallen victim. O/T in spoiler. Moddee, per se. Neither are French - the former is pseudo-English, the latter is Latin.
  16. Fair enough, thanks for the reply.
