¿Te imaginas que están retrasando el lanzamiento de 0.4 más allá de febrero? Creo que alguien moriría aquí, dadas las expectativas. Me incluyo

no @ Sam  dijo en la primera página " Ahora podemos confirmar que publicaremos LSPDFR 0.4 en febrero de 2019." otros 10 dias para esperar !!!

  • Let's all take a deep breath and rest assured that we're still committed to releasing 0.4 this month.

  • Just as a heads up, I can't think of much that makes me grumpier than having to hide 24 nonsense posts after working without sleep on 0.4.  Lack of sleep I can deal with; people being idiots not

  • I've been informed we'll have to delay release by one day for each cat that is killed.

You know what i wish we had but i know it won't be a thing due to the cost and the patience and time that would be needed to moderate it (as said from another post on the forum) a discord for LSPDFR. I know it won't ever happen, but it is a good thing to dream about yknow?

It would definitely be easier to keep up with

Would be great for asking for help on the tons of mods out there for LSPDFR in once place and letting thousands of people comment on the issue letting you gain the biggest insight and help you could ever ask for.

Just a pretty girly~

Have people asked if an unofficial discord is on the cards?

Edit: I've seen the official position on an LSPDFR discord and I understand the reasoning completely, my understanding is that people have attempted unofficial discords but have seen limited success as we cannot advertise it on the server unless its in our signature.

I'd love to be on board for an unofficial LSPDFR discord, with a structure closely related in terms of the same rules and regulations as the forum, there's no reason one can't exist and be moderated in a similar fashion.

Did some research

I have 2 feelings,
First LSPDFR will release on the 20th with massive success
Second, GTAV will update in the following days,
What to take away? Please back up your game, we know how Rockstar and Take2 Act

Edit: Please note, Take anything I believe with a grain of salt as these are my feelings and opinions

I think you overestimate how much Rockstar cares about us. My guess is, they don't care at all. Update releases are purely coincidental that they break mods, that's not their prime goal for releasing updates - It is to generate revenue in GTA Online. Our Community is the largest GTA Modding community, but seen to the amount of players that play GTA V and Online, we're fairly small still.

Many of the updates feel exactly like Bethesda's updates. More content without a need for a binary change that breaks hooks. Sure, some updates add actual features and need a binary change, but many don't and are entirely capable of being rpf only.

Maybe it's their extremely feeble attempt to stop hackers for a few weeks. With modders being collateral damage. And I bet everyone at Rockstar and TakeTwo mourn that loss.

Also, you forget how much Rockstar does care about us modders. Remember when they put TakeTwo in their place after they attacked modders? It only took them a little over a week and was nothing to do the PR nightmare that it created. A PR nightmare bigger than yourself.

You are using the WRONG right theme!

Someone at rockstar must care, they surely realise that its communities such as this one that has kept a playerbase on GTAIV which is over a decade old at this point.

I feel the same way when lcpdfr, more than half way through february they haven't released this update or API documentation. 😞

I think I've made my opinions pretty clear on this topic, I don't understand why people are complaining, if it were halfway through march without any word I'd have a better time understanding, but as we're only just over halfway through February I'm personally not worried at all, the team will release it when they deem its ready, all you have to do is look around every now and then to see someone from the team on every night either reading posts or readying things in the background. Because we don't see the progress doesn't mean it's not being made, they just want to see their hard work finalised before releasing it for use and the best motivation we can give is to respectfully wait rather than complain that it isn't out before the months even up.

I cannot believe they don’t embrace this community or plan GTA 6 around LSPDFR or DOJ...a living world game would be great.

It’s ultimately a good thing. Official support or endorsement is usually more of a pain than pleasure. All the support and endorsement a modding community needs is a well-documented modding API, which we have thanks to RPH, no thanks to Rockstar. Some games are built with mods in mind, but leave the rest up to the community. Others are built with in-game mod browser or similar that is heavily moderated, has strict TOS etc. And I believe R*/T2 would be even worse.

Plus the one thing many people forget, modding does not make them money. If it did, they would recognize it already. But they have online - they don’t need modders. There are dumbasses that buy a buttload of shark cards each time a new update to online hits - just because rockstar keeps inflating and inflating prices of everything. I stopped giving a damn about the time the damn boats came out. And now they are gonna do the same with RDR2, which is really a shame. But the blame is not solely on R*/T2, as long as there is enough people okay or happy with such business model, it will not die.

I think there was an activision/blizz dev that came out saying “If people would not buy it as much, there would not be microtransactions everywhere.” or something in that sense.

This right here. As much as I would love to have easier ways to quickly mod GTA, I think that R*/T2 dipping their grubby hands in the modding community directly would only result in people being upset with how they run things. Unfortunately, companies are a lot greedier than the communities they take profit from and I could see monetization of mods in their sights if T2 got involved.
