  • Let's all take a deep breath and rest assured that we're still committed to releasing 0.4 this month.

  • Just as a heads up, I can't think of much that makes me grumpier than having to hide 24 nonsense posts after working without sleep on 0.4.  Lack of sleep I can deal with; people being idiots not

  • I've been informed we'll have to delay release by one day for each cat that is killed.

Will a partner system be implemented in 0.4? What about a more complex computer system with backgrounds, arrest and citation histories, addresses, etc.?  Can shotguns and rifles be retrieved from the gun rack or trunk (sort of like LCPDFR)?

Hi

I think it would be cool if, when attacking an officer, it was possible to report this to the dispatcher at the touch of a button, so that he would call for reinforcements. (Shot fired, shot fired, I need help !!!)

This is simply amazing. Just created the account to post this. Had to say. Thanks for all the great work and thanks for all the hours of entertainment. Love you guys!!

@Sam Think of every swearword (Except diseases) ever and I just said them with yes afterwards

The Crime System

To start with, one of the new systems that we've introduced in LSPDFR 0.4 is the not-very-originally-named Crime System.  The Crime System was originally developed as an expansion of what we had previously done in LCPDFR 1.0 where players could press ALT + E to 'call in' things that had happened, with the key example being a suspect taking off from a traffic stop - units wouldn't respond until it had been called in.

This is back in LSPDFR 0.4, but with a big twist.  The Crime System recognises a number of different events which could take place in-game (called Crime Events), such as a person firing a weapon, a car being stolen or somebody being run over.  Each time one of these things (and a couple of others) happens in-game, it's picked up by LSPDFR so that our systems can react to it.  This gives us similar functionality to LCPDFR 1.0, where if you're attacked by a criminal then you're able to report this and the criminal will be targeted properly by other units, but it als

o opens up some new possibilities that we've added for LSPDFR, including the ability for nearby civilians to actually call 911 if they witness a crime.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

Regards,

Day.

I’m enthralled that we finally have a release date, but I’m bothered by something. With all these intuitive new tasks, animations and new motions, was 0.3 revamped? Don’t get me wrong, I’m head over heels for new things, but I would love to see more engaging aspects for the interaction side. For example, I would love to see way more dialogue for LEO like calls that happen every day. If there’s a Domestic, I want to run the dialogue to the ground instead of just having a few lines with no other options. Don’t get me wrong, I love the action, but in a majority of everyday calls, you’re not in a shooting, you’re chatting, engaging with suspects or victims. I hope to see a lot of more in depth features from 0.3 that were touched up and created an even more immersive modification. Thank you to @Sam and @Cyan for all the blood sweat and tears that were poured into anything involving LSPDFR!

This update sounds great Sam, can't wait to see what this brings, hoping the callouts will still work with the new update.
