Exemplification got a reaction from DDKnuckles in Do you need free disk space to run rage plugin?Hell yeah, I love hearing that! I know the struggle, I couldn't play LSPDFR for some almost three weeks. It started with one crash, I would fix that, then I couldn't go into the PD to go on duty and then RPH just stopped launching and froze on Loading "Story Mode". I was so happy when I got it back up and running lol. LSPDFR=DAMN BEST POLICE SIM ha ha. Need anymore help, just ask 🙂

Just to clarify as I don't want to mislead, that was just an example of how much it would cost if we used AWS (which we don't as Cyan is a systems administration extraordinaire).
Still, a website as big as ours doesn't come cheap. There's a lot of other things like software licensing and costs for mitigation when people hit us with denial of service attacks.
It's not really something that we want to make a big deal about as we'd rather just get on with things, though.

Exemplification reacted to RipplyTiger151 in Our Community - What we stand for & How to get involvedGreat post, Sam! This community has been around for at least 11 years now and has continued to grow and grow to what it is now. I also do not expect it to go anywhere soon.
I've had the pleasure to at least some part of the community for almost 6 of those years and I have seen my fair share of drama, content creators, communities, etc. Each and every time people usually move on or things will settle down for the most part. Throughout each and every incident, LCDPFR/LSDFPR has held strong and continued to be one of the largest, if not the largest, communities/websites out there. It's unfortunate to see content creators yanking their content but this has happened every so often and the unfortunate reality is it will continue to happen. We can only move on and either promote future content creators or work hard to produce our own content to keep things going in the community.
Also, the job that the moderation, community management, and development teams do is, I'm sure, completely volunteer. We as the community must realize this and understand that sometimes things may be delayed or take longer than we may want and be appreciative of the work that is done.

Exemplification reacted to Doug1637 in Leaving for a WhileI think the issue here that a lot of you are missing is that things are done wrong. I post a file was it inciting a reaction? Not really but it was hidden and I was warned in the same day it was posted, ok I can see why that was done but when something is clearly stolen and posted with out the permission of the original author nothing is done for days. If you mention it in the comments you get warned and even yelled at about bring it up. Even if you have Already reported it. In an instance where something may be stolen, it should be hidden immediately till an investigation is done then take the appropriate action. Leaving it up allows it to be downloaded hundreds of times, by then it’s impossible to track. No one wants to spend hours on something just to have it stolen. Skins and liveries get ripped so much it isn’t even worth reporting because nothing will be done. I understand that a site this large is hard to moderate but theft should be taken seriously and quickly. I really hope this can be resolved and we can get this community back to the greatness it once was. In the mean time see ya on discord, I’d post the link but it would be deleted like others have! Good luck on future endeavors.

Exemplification got a reaction from grizzbear in Rage Plugin Hook Detected An Error :(Latest supported version of Scripthook V is 1493. There was a "stealth patch" that updated Grand Theft Auto V to 1493.1 which is incompatible with Scripthook V currently. There are two options.
1. Wait until Mr. Blade updates it
2. Revert to 1493 with the backup you have in RPH.

Exemplification got a reaction from Hercules in LSPDFR 0.4 - AmbienceYou guys just keep blowing my mind. Ambient crime, a working interaction menu, a working flashlight and more "police like" actions. I can't wait to see the finished product and how in depth you guys have made it. I have a question, are traffic stops going to be more ambient and PC related? What I mean is if I see a vehicle with a broken tailight, can the game recognize that I pulled over the CIV for a broken tail light? I would love to have the CIVs talk back and create and excuse about how they didn't know or whatever. Also, I want to see more PC ambient events with driving. If I see a CIV speed by me at 30 over the limit, I want the game to recognize why I pulled him over and not just guess. Thank you guys for all the hard work you guys are pouring into LSPDFR and I can't wait to see the end product!

Exemplification reacted to c13 in LSPDFR 0.4 - AmbienceI was playing last night and I got in pursuit of a suspect who was flying over route 1 and eventually on the Pacific coastal highway. Due to heavier traffic, I fell back a bit and was responding behind two other units. It gave a sense of realism where I wasn't always the first one to a call, where I am always reacting to what was going on and having to call backup myself. It was one of my favorite moments in a while.
After talking to others, a common issue we have is a sense of being alone on shift. I feel like I have a solution that can mitigate it, and should be fairly simple to implement.
Back in LCPDFR, there was a kind of hidden feature where if you set a waypoint, you could call for backup and a unit would spawn next to you then respond to the waypoint alongside you. Such a feature could easily be implemented, and with features that didn't exist before like code 2 backup, it will give a sense of an actual department responding instead of a lone player who shows up first and reacts to everything. A nice feature would also be the ability to have backup stick around until dismissed, like in OnScene backup.

Exemplification got a reaction from Reddington in LSPDFR 0.4 - AmbienceNot really. You can RP it, but the "suspects" don't know or recognize if you will that they got pulled over for expired tags. I totally see where you're coming from though!
True! That would enable people with less than a monster PC with a 960+ that could also enjoy the mod as well.

Exemplification got a reaction from vynlthrash in LSPDFR 0.4 - AmbienceThe u-turn issue is a coding thing and I would love to see it fixed, but I am unsure if they can fix that. Your frames are dependent on the RIG you have, the plugins you have installed, how modern your plugins are, how many texture mods you have, how many custom cars you have and of course how many scripts you have. I get over 60fps EASY after I reinstalled LSPDFR and Rage and also purged out old plugins. Before I had old plugins, retired scripts and I would get 35fps at most, have terrible texture pops, and the civ cars would bug out because I had so many customs. I also use a standalone DLC folder where I keep all my cars that I have in my game.

Exemplification got a reaction from UnknownBastion in GTA V Crashes on loading screen after installing LSPDFRExactly, I can't see the Mods folder, but that is where 99% of the issues are because of how temperamental it is. If you can narrow it down to the Mods folder, look closely at the vehicles meta for any add-on cars, as well as the gameconfig.
Just a heads up, you don't need SDK my man 🙂

Exemplification got a reaction from Pacific Pig in Taking Texture Requests!Thank you so much bro! These textures look stunning and I would recommend Pacific 200% to everyone in the LSPDFR community if you are looking for extremely well crafted skins. If you need textures, you NEED to go to him and he will get them done! Good things come to those who wait! Thanks again bro! <3
