Hey! I think it'd be really helpful if backup spawned only behind you when you're on a traffic stop. That way they don't ruin the flow of traffic by stopping on the opposite side of the road.

I am really having a hard time setting this up correctly, What i am trying to do is get the Sheriffs to cover Los Santos County, Police Department to Cover Los Santos, Blaine County to cover Blaine County. If i still need help by this weekend, would anyone be willing to take a look at my .xml file and fix what needs to be fixed? I am honestly not good at all when it comes to XML files and i also have a learning disability. Additionally if anyone is willing to just create it for me that would be gratefully appreciated.

Anyone know why local swat and noose swat don't respond with selected weapons but local patrol and state patrol do. it is a valid XML and i think is laid out correctly. can anyone help?

Well, first, that's not a valid model, unless you've installed an additional ped: it should be s_m_m_prisguard_01.

WEAPON_KNIGHTSTCIK

That's misspelled, and depending on your settings, the default weapon is probably overwriting it.

 

In the INI file there are two entries: StandardIssue and DrawMethod. The first is the default weapon peds get automatically. The second can either be set to BEST, meaning the best weapon they have been given is equipped, or RANDOM meaning any weapon they have could be equipped.

Custom Backup frequently crashes my whole client when I call backup through the backup menu. Game works flawless without custom backup, CustomBackup.xml is nonedited and untouched from the download. Any suggestions what I could do?

Got some sweet customisation in this mod, been wondering if we could set a spawn location for certain backup. It seems a bit unrealistic that police cars can appear behind you like slenderman the instant you call for one. So you could have it so that local patrols have a chance of spawning near you (as they would be on patrol) or spawning at a custom location (such as a police station). Basically like in BetterEMS mod. It might also help fix that annoying bug of police spawning in on narrow roads facing the wrong direction and having to do a 23 point turn to get to you. 

 

Could we also get some functionality to helicopters? 

Currently if you try and spawn one in outside a pursuit, it will either spawn at high altitude and hover in place and do nothing or it will spawn low and then swing around erratically around the bad guys as the police on the side try and shoot at them. If it gets too low, everyone except the pilot will get out and then the pilot will continue to swing around. Helicopters also won't use any onboard weapons when spawned in outside a pursuit. Would be nice to have some control of their tactics such as:

- Hover and shoot from the air.

- Hover and rapel passengers down.

- Land nearby and let passengers out.

Like the police do in the actual game.

Well, you can set minimum and maximum distances, but sometimes the game will choose a close spot even then.

LSPDFR currently doesn't support helicopters outside of pursuits, and as you can see, they don't behave correctly if you do try it. This may change in future versions, but I don't think this plugin will be likely to touch on them.

hello i have a question, where do i tell the player pad which i have on the sheriff car position for blaine county in my case s_m_y_hwaycop where i have my blaine county ped on it. that he should wear with option 2 (0 = police mark 1 = police mark and clock 2 = shot veste) when I call him so that he always has the shot veste on?

So which command name do I have to give him and where exactly does he have to stand

I already played around with this set

I put that behind the 100 percent mark (green box), but it only led to a total loss of the entire back up in the game or to crash when starting!

Unfortunately, LSPDFR itself does not allow plugins to set the accessory/vest component on police peds. It constantly resets it because it's trying to manage peds with a gun holster component. I have figured out a workaround but haven't gotten a chance to update Custom Backup to include it. I will post an update here when I do.

I downloaded custom backup yesterday to improve the backup I receive, however, after installing, I discovered that it clashed with my weapon wheel selection on my controller, I tried to change it to change it to the right thumbstick and selected OverrideLSPDFRBackup tp true, but it still triggers to the weapon wheel. Just figured out that RandomizeProps does not work in CustomBackup... When I want to spawn peds with glasses on, they don't wear them under CustomBackup... But if I put RandomizeProps in the default LSPDFR backup feature, they spawn with glasses...

@PNWParksFanwould it be possible for you to integrate a function where you ask backup to respond to your waypoint instead of your location. I don't want to show up at terrorist attacks all alone anymore. Maybe have it so that you can select the standard code3 and code2, but also code 3 to waypoint and code2 to waypoint. Or automatically have units respond to a waypoint when there's one set
