Actually, it probably will. There's some ped model overhauls in the works that will change the vest from a task into an accessory and that should get around the issue even if it never gets fixed.

Would be nice to have a roadblock feature. You call in a roadblock and it adds it at the end of the street you're on.

I installed the newest version of this the other day, but LSPDFR does not seem to recognize that the plugin is installed. Help?

How so?

Yep, not working for me either after the 0.45 RPH update. The vanilla LSPDFR backup menu shows up instead.

Ah. From the previous post it wasn't clear that the issue was in fact from updating RPH. I just got home from traveling for a week, so I'll update RPH and test it out tomorrow.

I just downloaded RPH 0.45 and it works fine. Please check your RPH log file for any errors and see if Custom Backup is loading. If it's still not working, post your log file and INI as attachments. 

I know this has been mentioned before, but do you still not have any plans to allow us to hide the built-in backup types? I was gonna use this to change the backup type names, so the fact that we have to keep those is annoying and seems a bit strange, unless there's a technical reason behind it.

I assume it should be possible, just needs to be implemented in the plugin. You can always use mainmenu=false to move the entries to the submenu available already, unless you are using that in a different way.

It works now, looks like one of my older plugins was conflicting with RPH itself. Sorry for the false alarm.

I cant get my custom backup to work.  It says object reference not set to an instance of an object.  Please help, I dont know how to fix

Yesterday, my CB worked fine. Today, when I call for backup, empty units spawn, and units from a different backup type respond. For example, I tried calling for my custom park ranger backup, and empty prangers spawned. Also, a bunch of local patrol units responded. I made no changes between yesterday and now.

I tried to upload my Rage log, but I played last at 8:45, yet the last log in the Logs folder is from today at 2:59 PM.

I just got the idea of maybe being able to place a waypoint and requesting backup to that location, just like in LCPDFR. That would be much more immersive, too, since you aren't the only person responding to a suspected meth lab or a shootout or something (this suggestion also applies to Better EMS).
