RESISTPED
If you've ever really "played" LCPDFR you have used Braveheart's policing script. It is an amazing add-on that adds some neat things to the modification. However, you may have also noticed how annoying, unrealistic & choppy the resist arrest feature is. LCPDFR still is an amazing modification, even if GTA V has taken away most of the people that play it and GTA IV. Some of the glitches & inconveniences I have personally occurred from Braveheart's resist feature are:
Sometimes the "Get behind the suspect" doesn't prompt and the ped is stuck with their hands on their head uncuffable. If you press E again you risk it prompting or them running away. It seems that pedestrian's always are resisting and seem to never comply in the beginning. Accidentally pressing E near a ped. This script is set out to fix some of these issues as well as generally improve it as well. Some of the unique features of this script can be found listed below:
Your weapon aswell as their weapons are taken into account. There is a higher chance of them opening fire on you or fleeing if they have a larger weapon than you. However if you are holding a large M4 or AK47 and they have a small pistol handgun, it is more likely they will drop their weapon and comply. There is less chance of resistance in certain situations. There is a random chance they will draw a script-given knife or other small handgun as well if you are holding a smaller weapon towards them. The taser actually does what it is supposed to do - it will increase the compliance of the suspect. This forces you to lock on to the suspect; this can be with your hands(you don't need to shoot / punch obviously), or any other type of weapon. This prevents accidental E when you don't mean to. The script also has a frisking / pat down system allowing you to pat down citizens, I have found the default LCPDFR function not to work, nothing happens when I press the frisk putting after holding down E, so I decided to implement this as well. There is a 50 out of 500 chance they will have pot, crack, marijuana, heroin or a small knife(ranging from 1 to 20 inches in length). Nothing will be found if the random integer is above 50 however - it's a small probability of finding something.
Of-course if the suspect is actively holding a firearm or other weapon, it will be listed aswell. I will post some screenshots soon. Last but not least; I am also working on a tackle-handcuff system allowing you to pin suspects to the floor & handcuff them(this uses a ground animation, a get up animation and then sets them into the handcuffed animation).

ccpf reacted to ObsidianGames in [WIP/REL] British Callouts ScriptBritish Callouts Script
So I'm sure that anyone that plays with British mods will notice the biggest problem ruining the realism, the guns and excessive use of weapons. My British callout script aims to fix that. I've been working on this script for a few days and I've made a good amount of progress I would say. If this script is successful in its role you shouldn't find yourself in that situation where you only have an ASP or Taser and are facing a range of armed suspects. Which I'm sure many people that try to stick to true British RP will hate.
So far all testing has been very positive with no reported game crashes due to the script. I personally have been in-game for over 3 hours with no problems. I'm currently trying to work on a system where you get calls like missing persons and robberies more than high speed pursuits or arson for example to make the script feel more realistic. One of the unique features I'm planning that I haven't seen any script do is being able to set what division you are playing as. So for example if you want to do a British patrol you don't get calls like domestics and instead get more pursuits and anti social driving calls.
Currently aiming to release an alpha version at some point within the next week or two. I'm open to any advice and suggestions!
Currently added calls
These calls are fully working but some may need some more work before full release to make them a bit more interesting and accurate
Male with knife Female with knife Missing male Anti social driving (chav on moped = typical British problem) High speed pursuit Arson Planned features
Remove weapons from AI officers. (30% done) Add more callouts like domestic abuse, robbery etc... Add prank calls Add area searches Calls based on type of unit you are playing as And more as and when I think of them or people suggest ideas. Images & Videos
I'll get some better screenshots and record a video soon!

ccpf reacted to ObsidianGames in [WIP/REL] British Callouts ScriptThanks for the suggestions again. I'll see what I can do but I think the more advanced callouts might be added later on down the line once the basic things are done. Don't want anything to break to delay the alpha release next week.

ccpf reacted to LMS in LCPD:FR Community Continuity ProjectI could imagine open sourcing it at some point, but not anytime soon. I know that this probably not what you expected to hear, as the longer we wait the more IV might die, but as Cyan mentioned it's closely related to LSPDFR atm and would also need a clean up in some areas (server communication, authentication) to remove sensitive stuff. Your best bet would be to bring this up again next year.

ccpf reacted to Cyan in LCPD:FR Community Continuity ProjectIt's LCPDFR, not LCPD:FR.
In regards to open sourcing LCPDFR, LCPDFR and LSPDFR both share similar code and engine, therefore open sourcing LCPDFR would probably only happen if LSPDFR was EOL'd.
However, this is why we introduced the API. You can get started creating your own callouts for LCPDFR right now.
I'd be willing to expand the API of LCPDFR, if this is wanted, to allow external developers to introduce new features, but as far as I'm aware, the LCPDFR API is pretty feature complete.

ccpf reacted to SeaHawk14 in [WIP/REL] British Callouts ScriptYes! I agree with CCPF, some callouts aren't very glamorous at all, and those callouts he suggested are pretty cool, although the bridge escort may be very difficult, but a script which has only a few vehicles spawn and few peds is best. I don't want to have to avoid callouts because of crashes
-
ccpf reacted to SeaHawk14 in [WIP/REL] British Callouts ScriptI've got a few other suggestions:
suspected drink driver/intoxicated driver
possible firearm (for firearm division)
stolen or uninsured vehicle
Assault
Panic button
officer requiring back up
property theft (shoplifting)

ccpf reacted to ObsidianGames in [WIP/REL] British Callouts ScriptThanks! Currently the script only targets cops which are in the slots M_Y_COP, M_Y_COP_Traffic and M_M_FATCOP_1 so as long as your SCO19 units aren't in those slots their weapons will NOT be taken away.

ccpf got a reaction from ObsidianGames in [WIP/REL] British Callouts ScriptI would be very, very willing to test this :D Great job Obsidian!
Just a note about unarmed AI officers - if I'm running CO19 and need arms, will my partner get arms then? Or will that code not affect AIs?

ccpf got a reaction from AndyKrause in Looking ahead to the PDFR series' futureI'm interested to see what LCPDFR people think about the future of the PDFR series. Now that we have LSPDFR, what's gonna happen to LCPDFR? More to the point, what does the community think SHOULD happen to LCPDFR?
Personally, I'm in the "devote equal resources to both" camp. Whilst I'm sure there are plenty of great things about LSPDFR, LCPDFR has one heck of a lot more users, has one heck of a lot more submods, and generally - for my money, at least - is better than having to buy a new game (GTA V) and then get LSPDFR working on that. (Despite all the crashes LCPDFR seems to produce...)
What do you guys think?

ccpf reacted to trewq34 in Wanted Levels in LCPDFR?I see a lot of potential in this addition, but it seems as if it'll be extremely buggy. I'd say work on fixing the existing bugs before adding anything new. I wouldn't mind it being added, just as long as everything else is fixed first.

ccpf reacted to Sam in Wanted Levels in LCPDFR?While the pursuit system being completely overhauled in LCPDFR 1.0 has no doubt provided a much richer experience, I've been looking at ways to further enhance this, to bring out the true potential of the mod. At the moment, my idea is to implement wanted levels in LCPDFR, similar to those in GTA IV, ranging from 1 to 6 stars. Each ped would have a wanted level attribute so to speak, which would be 0 by default, and 6 at maximum. In addition to this, a 'deadly force' attribute would also exist, which would be off by default, and only triggered on when necessary (e.g. the suspect shoots at officers). This would mean that a suspect could have a 6 star wanted level, but deadly force would not be used.
1 Star
Gained for minor infractions. Nearby or responding officers will attempt to reprimand (verbal warning) the suspect. If the suspect is in a vehicle, officers will attempt to locate the vehicle and stop it, and then issue a warning. Determined attempts to locate the suspect will not be made and officers will give up relatively quickly. Small search area. 2 Star
Gained for minor misdemeanors. Nearby or responding officers will attempt to reprimand and ticket the suspect. If the suspect is in a vehicle, officers will attempt to locate the vehicle and stop it, and then issue a ticket. Officers will be more determined to ticket the suspect. Small search area. 3 Star
Gained for any arrestable offence, or resisting a 1 or 2 star wanted level. Officers will attempt to arrest the suspect. If the suspect is in a vehicle, officers will attempt to locate the vehicle and stop it, then arrest the suspect. Determined attempts will be made to locate the suspect. Specialist units will become involved if nearby. Medium sized search area. 4 Star
Gained for serious crimes or resisting a 3 star wanted level. Officers will attempt to arrest the suspect. If the suspect is in a vehicle, officers will attempt to locate the vehicle and stop it, then arrest the suspect. Determined attempts will be made to locate the suspect. Advanced tactics will be used, including helicopters and roadblocks. Specialist units will be actively involved. Medium sized search area. 5 Star
Gained at the instruction of pursuing officers. Large search area. 6 Star
Gained at the instruction of pursuing officers. Officers will attempt to arrest the suspect. If the suspect is in a vehicle, officers will attempt to locate the vehicle and stop it, then arrest the suspect. Determined attempts will be made to locate the suspect. Advanced tactics will be used, including helicopters and roadblocks. LCPD units will play a lesser role. Specialist units will play a major role. Very large search area. In addition to this, enabling deadly force on a suspect will result in an instant 3 star wanted level.
Anyway, the point of posting this was to get some suggestions and feedback on the proposal, which I think will be a much better way of doing things.
